Well said
+Malte vde Old and Gold
+Malte vde
old = Good
new = Trash
+jorgeq oh ya, such a narrow mind. Let us not forget about local talent that is older than this. Your comment made me want to kick a puppy.
MixMoose HAHAHA, Nike told me to do it, I am going to use that for everything.
One of the most talented Djs we've ever seen.

thanks a lot . this playlist is so stalish amazing
The only real dj on the main stage.
This wasn't main stage m8 :)
Laidback Luke is a real dj. he literally mixes shit on the spot. but I guess since it's not techno, you'd hate it. Keys N Krates always do live sets. they have talent. But again it's not techno so people in the comments here will hate them too lol
Brandon Villatuya chill he thought this was main stage and prob already knew Luke didn't play on it plus keys n Kate's is a whole different thing lol no need it bring them up here.
+Brandon Villatuya much of this is not techno too
+Brandon Villatuya laidback luke also autosyncs and use pioneer ddj's which arent really made for the ''creative'' dj. Whether you do live sets or not doesnt determine if youre a real dj or not. a real live set is a ''hardware'' live set. with stand alone samplers. please know youre stuff
Let me know if there are any mistakes or if you know any missing track names. Time stamps are generally in the middle of each track, NOT when each track begins.

I've been listening to techno since it started in the 70s. I'm 61 now and still dancing, bumping and grinding to the beat! CC is the Master when it comes to putting a track list together. His selection is awesome. He's the best.
i am a bit younger than you (38) but i want to give you a highfive for being this awesome bud.
Lord Byron fully agree sir. I'm not so experienced as you are but in my middle 30's I still haven't found such a great mixer who's capable of playing every single track which deserves to be played. Their mixes change day by day. He never performs the same. He's a master and he brings to the world every brand new tune. God save Carl Cox
Keep on...that's called enthusiasm
Lord Byron if I’m honest good for you. Let’s go and party together
Fuck you ya wanker
At almost 51 and this one never gets old! watch one of his concerts before I go in my bucket list the best DJ ever Carl Cox 🤟🏽
one of the very few DJs who hasnt sold out to all the EDM crap. ty mr Cox
true story
spot on
Good observation :)).
Nice one.
edm=electronic dance music
When i first head techno, I hated it. Absolutely hated it. I thought it was boring and repetitive. But when I went to my first rave and you experience the atmosphere, the people and the music! Unbelievable. I personally think you should experience it live before deciding if you like or don't like it.
My mate was exactly the same until I dragged him to see Richie Hawtin at Tomorrowland. Even he admitted it was the best set we saw all week!
man I SOOOOOOO wanna go to a rave that's what I wanna feel my husband said as long i go with you #wonderfulhusbandprotectinghis wife
I used to like EDM. A working season in Ibiza in 2015 changed my life. Adam Beyer, Carl Cox, Sven Vath, Solomon, man oh man. When i check EDM sets sometimes i think how could i have been this stupit. Techno has become an important part of my life and it will remain so till the day i die. #ravertillidie #drumcode4life
Forgot to say 14/09/2015 Adam Beyer @Cocoon terrace was the day that changed my life
Man same thing for me I was used to listen edm all day. But when I discovered techno tech house I can’t stop listening them. EDM is a trash for me atm.
I used to love EDM,but one night of techno , trumpets and titties changed my life...
Albi Miftari happy to hear you finally found the clever, smart path. Let everyone follow stupid EDM and keep loving techno and above all, love Mr. Carl Cox
Love it bro, welcome to the new Dimension :D
My god. I can't believe I was lucky enough to see this set live. Seriously one of my favorite sets of all time.
Lucky you 😌
I remember it and we were 🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀 sooo gone
Something tells me that Techno, Minimal, Tech-House are coming back to the glory, and this time is gonna be bigger than ever and I am very excited!
I hope so!!!!
@ sacco : I absolutely agree, wholeheartedly! 😃
sacco 0+0a
it will.
Tech-House already is the top selling genre at Beatport.
I feel that Techno and Psytrance are hitting mainstream in the next years.
If you are listening to music like this on your laptop and you say that is boring... Go jump from some high roof and make sure when you fall down, your head must hit the ground first. This is music for live experience or if you have nice sound system. You need to feel the atmosphere, you need to be inside the music not just listening and comparing with other big room DJs. I love Afrojack music, Axwell Ingrosso music but you will never feel this vibe and this happiness on your Ultra Mainstage. I was 9 years old when i experienced for the first time House - Music live and it was with Carl Cox at Sunny Beach (Bulgaria). Now i am 19 years old and Carl Cox is the guy who made me to love house music. Please appreciate all kind of music, respect other people choices and live happy!
+Sayan Niyaziev so true my friend house is a feeling that you need to feel in side the deepest of your soul and carl cox takes you there and house is not a cheap ass marketing plan like don diablo or martin solveig
Sayan Niyaziev amen! !
Sayan Niyaziev mdma
My brother is dead...
Thanks.
Sayan Niyazi
2022 and this remains for me one of the best sets of tomorrowland
One Of Carl Cox Best Sets!!
This is how its done, expertly crafting and building a set, not blowing your load in the 1st few mins with ridiculous builds and drops, all hail KING COX!
+Jimmy Burke Yes indeed
+Jimmy Burke ALL HAIL SIR
+Jimmy Burke He schooled all the others
+Jimmy Burke Last 5 mins are amazing
+Jimmy Burke thank you Carl Cox for passing the techno throne to the very underrated Diplo
This is one of my favorite sets by Carl, he is an absolute legend 🔥
....shame a lot of people just standing there not dancing...20 yrs ago in my clubbing days I went for the music and danced all night...its all about the music man..youth of today lol ...if I was there I'd be in heaven with this legend of a dj....rock on Carl Cox xx
Moonlion Williams I wish I was as cool as you
LEGENDARY
So much energy in this set, it's insane..
YES:)
And still it runs smooth within its own flow.
+Dennis Karpinski Yeah the way he transitions some songs is very creative and it all sounds natural
+RandomCrapOfTheLane He is, of course, the King
!
+Ruthie G (MadasaHatter) Aye he is one of the GOATs
My favorite set of all time
This is my anthem during the weekend preparations.. watched this masterpiece over 50-60 times and im never enough
awesome the big man
When asked about his perception on America’s dance music scene, Carl replied:
EDM’s
an entry level to dance music, and I’m very happy about that. We fought
so long for dance music to be respected there. EDM’s a sound America has
latched on to, but once people start going left and right of that
scene, they’re going to find their Art Departments, their Loco Dices and
their Sven Väths - and that’s a really good place to be
and believe me i been around since 1988 i was there at the beginning
+matty watson America have Detroit techno if u dont know :)
+Karolis Bfn YEP for example MAGDA
+matty watson and Chicago House...
Cmon guys been around since 1972 i know my music
Huh? Half the tracks he mixes are produced by Americans..lol
Carl is a master. One of the first to use triple decks. Flawless technician, and great ear. He's a legend.
And Jeff Mills❤
To the 3,382 dislikes on the King of Techno (who has been around longer than most of you have been born) You will never be Ravers and DO NOT call yourself a Raver, ever, period!! Thank god for Ravers still like you all who appreciate the king 👑
I saw carl for the first time in atlantic city in 1997.....he and junior vasquez are the best 2 live djs ever...
Oh God!!! What an amazing set!!! I feel like I was in Heaven for two solid hours!! Really jealous to them who had a chance to see this live.
Being a fairly newcomer here, I have just traveled through techno with the one and only Carl Cox... I'm happy now.
Whalecum To The Technoland
Whisperinq Tengk Yu
Welcome to the dark side...
me too. I recently discovered techno after I moved to Berlin. Totally happy.
Techno was at its best about 15 years ago, listen to old sets you will see the difference.
I got fired from my job for watching the stream in the office. Nothing to be proud of at all. Shows how much I love this guy. But I got another job so don't worry.
Zain Jafari XD
Going ham!!!
+Zain Jafari Damn! I watch streams of festivals at the office all day. I'm here now watching this. Hope I don't share the same fate. Glad you found another one though hahaha.
+Zain Jafari .. I won't blame you .. lol ..but I don't think Coxy King would be very impressed ! HaHa
+Zain Jafari
Getting fire beacause of watching a video seems a little bit excessive. Where are you from ? lol
3 years later, still one hell of a banger set
7
The Notorious B.I.G of techno.
Hey son! Look! Real DJ - Carl Cox
Michael Nguyen This is music :D

Michael Nguyen lol bloody awesome comment you speak the truth there
+Michael Nguyen If only people knew what it meant to be and feel the vibe, feel the house, feel the groove, feel those feet move, all soul, all the love. Oh yes, oh yes...
A Real DJ. Probably the only one who can build a set in Tomorrowland
+Alex7R10 The only one who is actually Dj'ing on the fly
58:40 is absolutely decadent. Fantastic as always ❤️

Im only 18 years old and I think the only reason I would ever go to Tomorrowland is for the techno... Can't believe kids my age even dare hating
Oh yes oh yes he's by far my favourite DJ!! This looks MAGICAL! I have to go next year!
S H he's back in July this year on second weekend at Tomorrowland
Carl Cox is best !
Hl
I've been into the dance scene since about 1992 here in Texas. This video is AMAZING!! i felt the energy through the freaking television!!! This is what raving music is about!!
Oh, how I enjoy watching a SUPREME LEGEND at work! Less overhype, more sound. Non-stop BASS IN YOUR FACE, all night long!
Is it just my imagination, or does anyone else here think Carl Cox is long overdue to be knighted?
to everyone this is the best dj in the world hes been around since the 70s and boy he nos his stuff shook his hand once he is the nicest guy in the world. i would say the best dj that ever lived no one would be better than him never no one have it carl mate.
DAVID YOUNG, one of he’s stops was heaven nightclub early 90’s
Adelaide, South Australia.
Started listening and stayed for the whole thing. Carl is the MAN!
Carl I have almost all your music. I love you forever!! I was 19 when I became your fan..Now I m 50 !. Im a big big fan of yours!
Nice to see happy beautiful people having a great time.
Finally !! A real DJ !!!!
One of my favorite Carl Cox sets
Why Mr. Cox has the best sets ever? He doesn't speak. he doesn't constantly yell over the music. The music and the mixing speaks for him. And when he does speak it only adds to the dancing. Unlike other Djs who bombard their sets with their voice. A set should dominate only with music seamlessly and ongoing. Like a heart beat. Beating for all. Mr. Cox does just that.
I do agree with you 110%. Well said!
I was going to bed and "accidentally" turned this on. 1 hour has gone by and I feel like party al night
;-)
Yup. Oh yes, Oh yes!
Mooiii
me too :))
same her :D
15 years later and he still kicks ass. I would normally get bored of music that progresses so slowly but he picks excellent tracks and mixes them perfectly every time.
One of my favorite sets of all time
Of mine too it is incredible
Riding my bike listening to this mix. Pure bliss!
42:37
Nystagmus killing this guy, his eyes are rolling backwards so hard! Amazing :D
He is just FLAWLESS with this set. It is perfect from the first to the last minute. You just cannot stop listening to it. I dare to say that he is the best DJ in the world for my taste.
Best DJ in the world for my taste as well....this guy is a genius!
Carl cox is the only dj that I will watch from start to finish. I'm sorry but other djs just can't get a decent playlist together that makees me wanna listen without skipping a part or two
Me too 🚀🚀🚀
the god of techno
hell yeah😃
AND house and Tech-House ;).
u know what is the real techno?
my friend if you want real tecnho search for duar't
gonçalo quer queiras quer nao cox e a referencia no techno.
we love you Carl Cox you are the most amazing Dj in the world
Such a good mix... watching in 2018!!
Antoinette Lewis he's back this year in July on second week at Tomorrowland
Yes!
Watching in 2019 ;)
I wish there were more of these types of festivals in the states, most of what's here is just high tempo mixed with a drop every 40 seconds then your long vocal break song and then repeat. carl cox is someone i've always known about but never really paid attention till now and his extended horizon between each beat is such a great change of pace. when you really listen and enjoy, you get stuck in a trance, and really appreciate the drops. and as you all notice, people are actually dancing!!! it's amazing to me.
oh yess oh yess
OH YESS OH YESS PARTY PEOPLE IN THE HOUSE!!!
someone needs to sample this
ojays

resident Lima Perú somoss!
It's been nearly two decades since I've heard him live. Last night I decided to take a lil trip down memory lane and I chose this as my soundtrack of the night. It's Monday now and we're still going strong. Let me tell you something...you're in the presence of a true master who understands his craft and puts you in the zone from beginning to end with his pitch control, beat matching, smooth transition, and flawless mixing. Long live Carl Cox!!!
cant agree with you more . Ravin since 1992 and seen Carl Cox in San Diego in 1993. A true underground legend. Gets this 42 y.o movin with bones creeking.
Excellent statement! Thanks for sharing for this video set by Carl Cox has been downloaded and blastin' when & wherever I can, perhaps educating fellow younger groovers of what it is all about. Its restored my faith in tech-house(whateva genre is used these days), in dancefloor moving, body rockin, as you're taking a journey by way of a man in a booth with decks whom paints a story by way of audio ecstasy foe you to ride..Just Glorious as you share that with fellow humans in the throng of it all. Thanks for your comment, inspired to reply. Brought me back to my roots, ha, 25yrs ago when I was 17 & goin 2 the Limelight... Be well
i dont really understand these type of sets. every tchno sets ive heard are exactly the same. what makes this stand or any stand out??? they sound exactly the same
the black one you should listen to something else then... Carl Cox forever!!!!!!
the black one they really sound very differently. either you.re not listening right or you.re confusing alike with same. sure all techno sounds alike like all rock or all pop or all rap that.s a genre. it.s very different saying it.s the same. plus you.re listening to one of the best and most influential dj.s of all time. for a taste of heaven search for carl cox live at chicago
I had the pleasure of meeting c Cox I was stood right next to him mixing ,he was amazing we had a chat and big hug he is great ,
I just had multiple eargasms thank you Carl!!!!!!
Could just not stop this set had to listen to the END.. Carl Cox still rocks after all these years
this is the best set ive ever heard hands down
All the people here have a stellar music selection, and I love all the fellow listeners too!
Who else is listening to this mix in 2022, I sure the hell am...😎😁👣
The Legend who inspired me to DJ Techno music...Much love to Mr. Cox
Seeing this legend in two weeks in Sydney, then Ibiza in August! Hopefully at Tomorrowland too! So keeeeen!
13:17 power bassline cox Dj's boss for more than 20 years will never die . Top Djing set
What is the name of this track? minute: 13:17
Christian Smith & John Selway - Total Departure >>>>> Excellent track Cox play it very often
Excellent Set!!! carl cox always keep people awake and dancing.. see u at the EDC 2017 Sr. Cox.
So many type of style... Person so different style i love it really and i love the set, the music and the carl cox forever❤️❤️❤️❤️
It's sad most people here don't even know how big of a legend Carl Cox is, Tomorrowland isn't only about the Mainstage, be more open-minded about other genres and have some respect.
TheMusicGuard don’t you worry. Believe me
I totally agree, except for dub step in my opinion lol that is torture to my ears
My boss dont like Slam radio because that people take drugs, so i put Tommorowland and he is ok 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hhh
Totally bailed on armin van buuren at main stage last weekend, you just can’t miss carl cox
1:43:00 OMG! Such sick techno! This is what real techno is all about!
One of my favorite tracks from this set. @1:43:03 - This guy is high as f!#$!! LOL
no...technco was in the 90's....this is techno for todays children
+oldskool Your name is old school but I bet you money I'm more old school then you are...
thejason51873 Given that you think the track at 1:43:00 is "real techno"...your track record proves otherwise.
Carl Cox is indeed one of the big faces of Techno. Techno has its own origins, Berlin, Detroit, Chicago, Amsterdam, just some examples of places with different signatures.
We should worry less on who's more old school and focus on the good vibes instead.
EL MEJOR DE TODOS LOS TIEMPOS...!!!!..APLAUSOS AL Sr. COX..!!!
lo veo, lo veo y lo vuelvo a ver y no me canso.. I love Carl Cox
Carl Cox is pretty much the equivalent of Christ as far as I'm concerned. The apostles exist too, of course, those amazing first-tier DJs (Dubfire, Gary Beck, Richie Hawtin) who ensure the music stays on at all the worldwide festivals. They're amazing artists in their own right but the bearded prophet in sandals who rode into town on a donkey was actually a slightly thick bald black man from England who likes to scream oh yes oh yes. Whenever Cox passes on (not for a bloody long time, hopefully) I've a feeling he'll be resuscitated. Or, maybe this is the resuscitation bit! Which can only mean one thing. He's going to be around for ever.
Amen brother!
I can't like this comment enough.
i think youre speaking about the guy at 13:48 right :D
+xStupidgirlx Nice catch lol

Soy de chile, que sonido más pegajoso como. Para ir de viaje uuuff que rico sentír esa euuufoooriaaa 🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I can't take all of these 17 year olds saying this is "old" and "boring" . It's killing me.
It's called techno. You like electro-bubble-gum-band-wagon-disposable-garbage.
That means go away.
+Kyle Donaldson I'm 17 and I loooove this.
CreativeAuras Then you're probably cool and open minded, not in a fraternity, like dancing instead of moshing to dubstep, don't wear sunglasses indoors, don't wear tank tops 365 days a year, and go to raves for the music and not just to "rage".
Techno and real house music will outlive all the stupid fads and trends. Respect.
+Kyle Donaldson age does not means nothing, i´m 15 yo and i love this kind of music, is sad how mainstage music its totally overrated (sorry for my english, im not from an english language country)
Tomas Valdivieso You're the exception, not the norm.
+Kyle Donaldson who said you can't like both underground and mainstream music? I love dubstep and trap and the new genres such as future house or jungle terror and i could mosh for hours at a festival but whenever i go dancing i go to clubs that play techno and house all day. I'm 17 years old and i know what you mean when you say most of our age are PLUR rave retards but come on
This is what I'm waiting for
So so good ..this man is the key to us all staying young and full of love .... raved with him at the helm since the last of the Hacienda dreamtime 1992...milton keynes the sanctuary .....them days that raves first got a hold of all who entered 1988 for me full on every weekend....still doing it and loving it☺☺☺☺☺love you all💚💙💜💛❤👏👏👏👏
Wow, a REAL DJ still lives. Amazing tracklist and his mixing is smooth. Thank you Mr Cox!
Was in the crowd for this and it was something special, truly magic
off to see this beast in Ibiza at the closing parties in 2 freaking weeks!!!! Buzzing!
legends say he is still raving
Some say he is still there
So lucky
I could listen to this set every day!!! 💋bellisimo 💖💖
CC knocks it out of the park once again with his explosive awesome mix! The Master DJ....... no one does it better.
one of the greatest. ever. i mean this set doesn't really do him justice if you dont know him that well but he is like the bob dylan of techno
Love this set, especially the part when he mixes in D-Shake's "Technotrance", pure awesomeness !! :-))))
Ja super!!!
+Mworshipper i heard the beat too and it was goooooooooooooood.....................;) woooooooooo come on!
+Mworshipper I agree. Best part in the set in my opinion. That track is so sick with his rework.
ALWAYS A PLEASURE TO LISTEN TO THIS MIX... CARL COX THREW DOWN...!
FROM NEW YORK WITH LOVE..!
Merci Carl cox je vous écoute depuis 2000
LEGEND!!!! He is just amazing! I can't get enough!!!
*The Lengend!*
one of the best dj videos i have ever seen. to date.
This set makes me wanna cry just how this entire set is. Fan for life
The very first rave I went to in the 90s Operation Getdown in STL carl spun most of the night .. was absolutely amazing. So glad to see so many years later he's still going strong and just as amazing!
There are now two types of people at Tomorrowland:
On the one hand the entry-level kids from Israel, USA, Brazil, Asia,...taking selfies, waving their flags and clapping their hands with sing-along-songs at the mainstage, who saw some TML-aftermovie on UA-cam and somehow managed to get a ticket.
On the other hand, the real music-lovers who know a good DJ when they see one, who are a bit older and used to clubbing, and like to just dance, listen to good music and enjoy themselves without having the need to share it with everyone back home.
Yannick20 absolutely right mate
+Yannick20 It's honestly a matter of opinion, i don't prefer this music but i mean its not bad, i just don't prefer it
+Yannick20 You're an absolute dummy - some of the most OG partygoers I've encountered were from the Israel TLV scene (hello Guy Gerber and Haim), and America. Brazil? Are you dense - do you know what kind of parties and festivals they throw there? Ugh you are the absolute worst
+ArthurKnoqOut I'm talking about the difference between mainstage crap and the rest, not between nationalities.
+Yannick20 If you wanna listen to good music and enjoy yourself while dancing you've picked the wrong event, besides Carl Cox and maybe some other DJs Tomorrowland is filled with DJs who play Big Room House and sing-along-songs.
