    So nice of you to share your kitchen concept with us, I’m definitely implementing the cabinet concept to cover up my appliances like a small oven, microwave, or boiler etc. And your skin is really good! Looks like you’re not wearing any makeup but your skin glistens under the light. Like your personality too, hope to see more videos!

      林宇晨 I actually prefer the slide up open kind of cabinet. Like the drying rack with Blum hinges. It’s more lasting for daily use. I hope to cover the topic on reno regrets

    I like your kitchen ideas the counter top over you washing machine is very nice I like it. Can you show me the cloth drying that you have attached to the wall above and the extra ones in the cabinet I want to use it in my house in India. I liked the way u have concealed plug points

    Hi. I read in one of your reply in the comments section that you've switched to steigen laundry rack. Will you be doing a review soon? I'm interested to find out more, as the steigen laundry rack is quite costly, so would like to know if it's worth it or the non-mechanical laundry rack from HDB will do. Thank you!

    I love built-in ovens because it gives a clean uncluttered look to the kitchen. But thanks for pointing out the problem of the oven heat causing the laminate to warp. Was wondering has it gotten worse and have you found a solution to it?

      I do think it will only worsen hahaha. Maybe add a ventilation plate to drawers above?

      Janice Ang thanks! It’s a normal laminate table instead of counter top. I heard he charges a lot for small projects. Anyway any carpenters can build this :)

    Does your white cabinets or any white furniture turn yellowish after some years later? Is there any product/material to choose so will prevent white from turning yellowish? I bought a Ikea besta white cabinet and now about 3 years later it become yellowish so it looks older don't look nice, I like white but I am thinking maybe a wood/brown/khaki color would be better because can look like forever new since wood color do not become yellowish after some years. Thanks.

    Good looking, but not the one for daily cooking. Singapore HDB should be built with fume duct. It is a misconception that fume will cause air pollution, as more than 90% of oil fume will condense in the duct and deposit at the bottom.

    Hi would like to ask
    Open kitchen/ half wall kitchen are so popular these days for ventilation/ easy viewing of the living room. Why did you choose to have a traditional closed kitchen instead?

      Hmmm. Maybe I’ll try a different concept next time. But for my current place. It’s easier to contain the (raw meat?) smell and oily floors. Prevent the kids from coming in too.

      I have ac running most of the time. So windows are closed.. except the kitchen. I will open the windows to ventilate the area

    I like your idea of keeping the robot cleaner in the yard area and wanna do it for my place too! But, is the robot “smart enough” to find its way out? 😅 As BTO service yard area is quite small I’m not too sure if it works. 🤔

    late to the party, but - how did you get those LED strips at the cabinets? wonder if they can be retrofitted to my existing cabinetry. lots of light is good!!

      The led lights were fixed 2 years after the cabinets were built, the electrician hid the driver inside the cabinet. So it looks flawless now.

      Actually any carpenter can do for u. But most of them don’t want to come in and just one board. They will charge a lot to reject u. The only way is to do when u renovate the place and it will be cheaper

      Sal Lee yay!!!!! you will love the dream white!!!!!!!!! Not sure about the brand of my floor vinyl recommended by the id. But you can look into Evorich. Quite easy to clean, I mop once every 2 weeks, doesn’t feel sticky after a while like those glossy floors-If you know what I mean

    Hi may i know the length of your hob and hood? I actually wanted to get same length for both but was advised by sales that for induction hob, it is better to get hood larger than hob. Now i can't really decide, any thoughts to share?

      ​@@madsncakes ah ok. Several I saw when I first moved to SG long ago had kitchens with doors that closed them off from the living room, and then windows that would open up to the outdoors. So "effectively" an outdoor kitchen, maybe not truly outdoor. (and maybe they were just condos, not HDB, but I thought it was cool)

    Oh one more question. Do you not own a microwave? I feel like microwave is a neccessity especially when it comes to reheating food from the fridge

      SSBMA1994 hey I feel that a microwave is bad for health. I seen a test where u water a plant with microwaved water and the plant die. So I try to minimise the use of a microwave

      I lined the kitchen cabinets base with a clear mat to prevent any stains/scratches/leakage from rusty tins, seasoning bottles or cleanings aids. So far so good

    Can I know where did you get the sponge holder for the kitchen sink? I have the same sink (Blanco Elon 6 right?) and I can't find a sponge holder that sticks to the granite! :(

      daphn3t it’s by simple human :)
      But I do not recommend it as it has a silicon drainage. It became mouldy after a while

    May I ask if its practical to use black quartz countertop? does it stained and scratch easily?

      SUL Academy Singapore so far quartz is good but also scratches easily. I have solid surface too which stained n scratched easily.

    Why u put trash on your table top and food in the bottom cabinet near the floor...

      Well the bin has always been on the table. It just makes taking the trash out easier on my back. But I get what u think. Dirty things go on the floor and not near the food. But these are mostly food waste and plastic packaging waste? If we throw something horrible in it, we will empty it straight away. We also wash and sanitise the bin frequently. As for food. At that point it was there and in my updated video now it is on top

    👍has a clean look.. Saw ur hood is EF, what brands are you hob and oven? Am looking to replace mine(all 3 EF😅)..Any suggestion? The service yard looks neat..

      Faith Kho my home came with the original tiles, tiles are smooth and easier to clean compared to walls. First wipe with cleaning aid and second water. I don’t this all the time thou!

      Yup the house is done 7 yrs ago. The prices have changed and they also prefer not to do just one table top.. and how should I explain this. Carpenters want to take on a bigger project. If it’s just a table top like this, they will quote you $1k instead of $200.

      Just nice the joints are hidden at the corners. If too wide, may need adjoining pieces

    How do u install the magnetic thing to hold ur knives on ur glass panel? Drill? Double side tape stick?

      lee xin ru before u install the backsplash, u have to let the contractor know. So they leave a gap to the wall. Then drill it

      Anw just to check your living room area right , the TV console wires are all concelaed inside and it's just what I wanted for my living room as well .
      Was it done by the ID or you DIY it yourself ?

      Sstash hmm I don’t know what is the material. It’s just a plank with laminate. I gotten different carpenter to quote also. I realised sometimes they quote u really expensive cus they are not keen to add on “small jobs” so they quote a ridiculous price to make u reject them
