Get Bomani talking music and he really opens up. I’d love to see him do more tv/podcasting on music. I think he’s too smart for sports and Jordan/LeBron debates.
Actually, the first black professional team owners were Bertram Lee and Peter Bynoe, who were owners of the Denver Nuggets. A brother named Bruce Llewellyn had the opposite to buy the Minnesota Vikings back in the late 70s. Got very ill from a heat valve surgery gone very bad and couldn't complete the deal.
Bomani is about my older brothers's age, and cats that age LOVE _Southernplayalistic..._ in a different way. Like a "you had to be there" type thing. Me, personally, being in my mid 30s, it's b/w _ATLiens_ and _Aquemini_ for favorite.
I wished this opportunity with Mr. Jones had been of substance. A person of such talent, knowledge, and experiences should not be asked to schedule time for a play date.
Stand in front of you and Rap, tell you the history and battle...KRS could indeed be a good ONE, but Black Thought does all that and has the same longevity...but love the discussion never dies...I do need to revist Speakerbox...Definitely recall the tracks, but not living in them
Dope pod! The point about most not being able to appreciate Southern brilliance was an excellent one. Love for you, Bo, but ain't no way NYC's food scene better than Houston or Atl. NYC is mad overrated. There may be a lot more options, but most aren't that good and/or really expensive. Hou, Atl, Chi, NO, Chicago, Mem are all better than NYC.
Drop Atlanta. The restaurants are nice to look and cooling environments but the food is mediocre. Chicago, different level. Lettuce Entertainment says it all.
Sometimes Bomani be dry as hell.😂 Like you have to earn his respect to the podcast that he agreed to be on lol but Martin having one and a half good seasons is a single most disrespectful thing I’ve ever heard in a pop-culture conversation.
Love listening to Bomani. He's an African American treasure.
Hate listening to Bomani. He's a race baiting, white hating non-treasure.

And the now fired Bomani Jones😂😂😂
Yes! I know that's right on East Africa. 🇹🇿🇹🇿🇹🇿🇹🇿
Oh wow! Such a delight surprise for my platform (Black Restaurant Week) to be mentioned on this episode. Thank you so much!!
Great podcast. I’ve been following Bomani for years. Please write the book about traveling on a budget!!!
Love this so much. (And just for fun.. Dan Majerele guarded Jordan in the finals. Do with that what you will...)
Bomani does't have many bad takes... even on hip hop. He was spot on with the Outkast topic
26:06: Bo was thisclose to a Galaga flashback
GR8 INTERVIEW 😊
Really DOPE content
I sometimes walk around NYC hoping to see Bomani doing those on the street interviews for Game Theory. One of these days...

This show is concentrated, pure, black excellence
I love listening to intellectual conversations very impressed
Then, why are you here?😂😂😂
Black American excellence!
Bomani is one of the sharpest dudes in the business.
This was dope. Bomani is one of the smartest people in media. Been following him since 2011/2012. He most passionate when discussing music.

The best food is either in Atlanta, NO or Chicago

I bet she in the freaknik doc she is a flirt
How can you say that Babe Ruth was the greatest, when he didn't play against Black player's?
Blind people don’t know what the hell you’re talking about😂😂😂
You got the wrong Leonard Washington.
There is a case to be made that Babe Ruth was black
