What are your thoughts on Boruto Forest of Death and Naruto Original Forest of Death (Heaven & Earth scrolls)?
The Boruto one was good and all, but the Naruto one sent down chills down my spine. I still remember the first time I watched it. It was something you could never forget.

I like it but for different reasons, it obviously doesn't have the tension of ogs but honestly nothing in that forest is a threat to these guys who have now fought and defeated Kage level beings like deepa and Boro, no giant snake or natural threat is going to do anything to them.
The OG was also more tension filled because of Oro and Gaara but there are obviously no crazy murderous terrorists (for once) in this exam so it's also a lot easier for them.
I enjoy it as a flex for our characters to see how far they've come since the start, all of team 7 is obviously far above chunnin level so having them partake in these tests just shows you how much they've grown compared to what they where in the academy.

That's like half the point of Boruto isn't it? They live in relatively peaceful times now and Shinobi are becoming more of a tradition rather than a necessity because the child soldier culture of the previous ages is starting to die out.
The Samurai girl was introduced in a anime Canon episode before the Kara arc, she is basically a replacement for Sumire after she left for the Scientifuc ninja tool team as the team needed a 3rd member, she also carries the team just like Sumire did LMAO.
She actually has ties to Mifune who was one of the Samurai you saw in Shippuden.
Guys you're comparing these exams to the past ones when the whole point of our protagonists in the original was to get rid of the system that treated shinobi as nothing more than disposable tools, that's what the WHOLE show was about, it was never meant to be "cool" it was to highlight how fucked up the shinobi system was that it made kids do stuff like that. That was the whole point of the first arc in Naruto with Haku and Zabuza. If they did the same thing here it would make Naruto becoming the Hokage and the whole world being united kind of pointless.
Tsubaki is one of the few anime cannon characters I like and don’t mind watching a anime cannon arc about
The way boruto pass does makes Sense actually. Remember Kakashi first few lessons to OG team 7. Those who break the rules are scum, but those who abandon a comrade is worst than scum. Also, A ninja must read the hidden meaning in the hidden meaning. He may not be friends with boruto but he’s a hidden leaf ninja just like boruto
You guys have to remember times changed, they don’t want little kids dying in the battlefield any more or to have to go through what they did back then.

Because Konoha is the only participant there. Big Nations host their own exam. They didn't invite other village (especially smaller nations/villages like Kusagakure, Amegakure, Otogakure and others). And then, yes.... This is a peace era, so... yes... the exam is harmless 😂😂😂
Then, Boruto is a snake tammer. Maybe that big snake still smells Garaga's scent / Mitsuki's scent.
Chunin arc is really good then u can directly jump to Retsudan or Code arc

@@el_blanco_yt yeah the funato arc was meh until the end but the Himawari & Kawaki Academy Arc was fun to watch! It would be interesting to see the gen after boruto's to become ninjas too. I really like Harika Aburame and Mimi Inuzuka as well as Kura. The blue hair guy that uses lighting style with his eyebrows seems interesting too.
the old chuunin exams went beyond the point of creating the village. putting lives at risk for what? a promotion?
if you're going to have them put their life at risk for a promotion than at least do it on an actual mission (base the promotion on mission accomplishments).
The Naruto one was better and the best, cannot be replaced. But i understand that on Boruto is already on peace area, so yea we cannot hope the same adrenaline back then. I also feel a little bit disappointed, but try to understand.
The one that i cant accept is the ambience on Boruto Forest of Death is doesn't scary as on the Naruto one.

The main reason the OG one was so scary was actually because of Gaara and Orichimaru who are both not really part of the exam, without them the og team 7s exam would have been mid at best aswell.
It's simple. Naruto one was canon written by Kishimoto and Boruto one was anime canon.
Okay to be fair back in the day all the shinobis from every village were there so it was much more of a huge event and most of the ninjas were cold and heartless. This is only leaf shinobi and also Naruto is the hokage after he influenced everyone to treat all as equals after the fourth great ninja war. They didn’t have that cause the world back then was full of people who thought death is a normal thing that happens. This is a time of peace but people honestly forget sometimes that Naruto influenced everybody to have consideration for their ninjas but I do agree that the chunin exams were better back then but rules can change with different leadership taking charge of it. Besides it was one episode so they didn’t have time to extend it more so it’s rushed.
you didnt watch the anime cannon arc so to explain most of boruto classmates are chunin level or above,and the reason the chunin exams are less serious and less dangerous is because of naruto is the hokage and he doesnt want it to be dangerous
oh yeah in the novels i think naruto tamed the monsters,but seriously u guys skipped a lot of anime cannon ,they are very strong
To be fair the Chunins and Jonins in Naruto had survived the last Ninja War and Nine Tails attack.
yeah, this exam is more self contained, is just konoha shinobis and is for the desapared need of more "free" jounins

you can watch till the kawaki and mozoku arc then you can watch funato arc if you want personally i would suggest you to watch it cuz i realllllyyy liked the story and the conflict but the animation in 2,3 eps might disappoint you a lil but that's okay 👍
If I had to fight my own team to become a chgunin I would just concede and let the other person win. Who cares anyway? Naruto went from Genin to Hokage. Ninja ranks are meaningless

This is what boruto lacking the vibe of this anime is kinda fun chill, it would be so good if they make it more serious, also the design is anime'ish colorful instead of dark and gloomy
I don't think it's lacking that, in fact, Boruto is criticised because of that in the manga.
These exams were extremely trash but I understand its anime canon also with the way the story is going I would find it extremely bs if any of these guys surpass their parents (other than Team 7)🤣

Boruto doesn't have time for that, th anime fails to show the tension that is around in the manga which is probably the reason why people criticise it.
