Safety Third is a weekly show hosted by William Osman, NileRed, The Backyard Scientist, Allen Pan, Peter Sripol, and a couple other UA-cam "Scientists". Sometimes we have guests, sometimes it's just us, but always: safety is our number three priority.
Love how the podcast has now shifted to being: A Doctor, A Chemist, A Software Engineer and florida man
Lmao
Horseman of the apocalypse
While being about taxes
A Doctor, A Chemist, A Software Engineer, and A Florida Man walk into a podcast.
I love how this podcast has absolutely no planning whatsoever. I keep saying this in the comments of every video, but please, don’t change this chaotic good spontaneous vibe. It’s so much more entertaining and it really feels like I’m in the discord with you guys just chatting. Thank you for another awesome episode guys 🖤
This! It really feels like a chill discord call
Best episode so far
My favorite one by far is when they talked about how they would happily fistfight other science UA-camrs
I'm not a discord person but this is such a vibe
I definitely agree, but I don’t think we have to worry about them suddenly trying to structure the podcasts given how stressed they are from making videos lol
about the whole shout out thing, there was a point in time where i was thinking about making a long talking video about why shoutouts usually don't happen and why you don't necessarily want one, just to maybe educate a small percentage of the masses on a bit of the complexity behind shoutouts in general from the perspective of creators. I've always found stark differences in thought processes as a result of being in a different position really fascinating.
Nahhh ain’t no way you watching safety third! What a pleasant surprise Never thought you were the type but then again this show does have the same sort of crackhead energy as your channel
Please do, I was literally just binging your videos
@@nxn8148 im honestly kinda bored of making vids. might do it in a few months unless someone else does it before me and hits all my main points
@@dapz yeah makes sense I imagine it's difficult to keep it interesting. But if you do make more then some engineering stuff on dapz builds would be great
Mr oats guy I got a new dry food for you to eat, slightly burnt cornbread, I’m talking the reaaalllllyyyy dry stuff that your momma makes for thanksgiving cause she don’t know what to make
NileRed I just want to say, I really appreciate the economy of speech in your videos. I like that you are very specific and measured in your approach and document as much as possible as concisely as possible.
bernard's face during the whole podcast: 😃😲😕😅🙂
LMAO
That's hilarious as soon as I read your comment I looked at his face and he was literally like 😃
i can see nigel having flashbacks when they started talking about milk
He looked like he was about to go-mad
At the topic around the 45 minute mark: I avoid Tik Tok but I fear that I'll get far too addicted to it. I fear that I'll get out of touch because I don't use it. My little cousin and I were playing minecraft and he kept saying "Crank some 90s" and I genuinely had no idea what he meant. Made me feel like a boomer at the ripe age of 25.
What does "crank some 90s" mean ?!?!? Please someone 🙏
I know what it means to crank 90s in Fortnite but I don't know what it means to do so in Minecraft lol
Nahh don’t feel bad about it, I’m in the same boat which I’ll never download it. Besides I already get enough exposure to it via reuploads to other social media platforms anyways. Also I feel like tiktok too easily allows people to upload lazy content
1:05:26 is the first time I've ever heard Nigel swear lmaooo
Poor Bernard got bullied for drinking water out of a milk container so he added a cup to the process.
I fucking cackled when bernard did the grandpa simpson walk into frame and then immediately walk back out at the beginning
This Podcast is like the behind the scenes podcasts for podcasters . I freaking love it.
I surprised a major network hasn’t offered millions of dollars to William, Nigel, and Kevin for their own weekly show….. maybe like a Myth Busters- esk type of show…
nigel has been offered but by the time he accepted, the company went out of business 😭
Nut busters?
esk....you mean, esque?
bone-apple-tea my man. bone-apple-tea
Nut busters lmao
@@michaeldaigle7207 - wow, congratulations you caught a brief oversight….. I also didn’t type “I’m” correctly…. obnoxious tool
Gosh everytime they say something that makes me feel like a 23 year old boomer, Kevin comes to the rescue and validates me 😂
Im glad Bernard is becoming a regular host on this podcast! I love seeing more relaxed Emu
Hearing Jabrills' voice live is so refreshing.
Man, he's been putting up some top level content for a while.
Absolutely love when Dr Bernard comes on. Should make it a monthly thing!
I'm telling you guys this podcast is my happy pill.
same
Speaking of nilered merch, I have a nilered shirt and it actually served as an ice breaker between a girl and I at a party lmao, she recognized the logo and we started talking about it
The way you described developing a video idea reminded me of the process of wording on a dissertation. You choose a research lab or a general topic for videos and then after you’re in the research lab then you have to stay within the realm of what that lab studies. But you have to come up with some common ground between what is needed in the field what do you want to do and what falls under the subjects studied by the research lab. Then you gotta do it. You all deserve so much more respect by popular society than you are given. Drs of UA-camring.
I have a bit of an obsession over different types of paper & pens. I even got a different desk I only use for writing.
it is really funny to listen to them discussing how fat is taken out from the milk, which I also just learnt from my food science course. (FYI the factories centrifuge the raw milk to separate it into cream and skim milk, then recombine it to get various milk products. this is a way to ensure the fat ratio is standardized cuz in raw milk that may vary due to season, animal feeds, breed etc) Anyway thanks for bringing so much joy to us! 😆
The amount of times Kevin said thick in the first 10 minutes of the video...
And the amount of times Bernard says "right?" 😂😂
Nigel, you don't have to put as much into your vids if you don't want to.
Not gunna lie, I watch your videos late at night in order to fall asleep. 😂
Probably too late but if you don't like your yogurt you can freeze it and there's a time before it fully freezes where it's frozen yogurt like a creamsickle
So... I am already over 30, also had reasonably early experience with internet (like actually 90s technically), and let me tell you: it does require conscious effort on my part to stay "up to date". Not because I feel I must, I just enjoy this ultra-dynamic culture. Also L + nobody asked = ratio
ChubbyEmu is a gift to this podcast
Also Jabrils during the 10 plagues of Egypt: "why are there green frogs everywhere?"
"Hey can I ask you a question?" is the worst thing anybody can do. Just ask directly.
I personally would prefer a little more of an intro like someone being like "Yo, I like your content. Though now I have a question about blah blah blah. And then asking the question.
But I think that's just a personal preference perhaps. However asking for permission to ask the question feels like an unnecessary nicity that actually comes off as being a bit rude because it's kind of wasting their time.
It's almost like you get one question and if your question is can I ask you a question then your answer is no but if your question is you know an actual question you might get an answer and possibly even start a conversation about the subject.
Bernard: I like Dhar Man videos.
Nooooo... you were the chosen one!
"Sir, this is a Wendy's."
I actually actively refuse to download tiktok because I fear fro my time when I do install it so its just easier not to. Also is there a way to disable yt shorts??? Im actually spending a lot of time on them not knowing that I do, I just realise after like 10 videos what I'm doing is bad and I'm watching trash content that i will just forget.
You guys should an episode with smarter everyday
It's nice to be able to hear Nigel talk without Will constantly interrupting and arguing with him
"If you eat all 18 of them you can be in one of my videos." 😆
You can make more yogurt with yogurt.
when he said glossy and transparent paper i knew he was into diy pcb
Early 30s and currently single, and don't have facebook, snapchat, or tiktok, or any social media really. You're among friends Jabrils.
has anyone pointed out the echo (i noticed it around 9 mins in) or do i have to be the party pooper
LOL I love how they got super serious about paper. 30 seconds in.🤣🤣 Love this podcast.❤️
i had the same issue with a small butane torch not lighting and flipping it does work for some reason. its not the liquid butane spilling out more though.
Butane torches have the inlet at the top of the reservoir to draw from the gaseous butane so it won't spill however when you flip it over the area inside the inlet is the only place for the butane to evaporate into (because the gas and liquid are at the same pressure it can only evaporate on the side you relieve pressure from) allowing for higher pressure at the nozzle and a smoother ignition.
Hope this was informative. :)
Hey! Kevin can use a mix of isopropyl and water to get the ink off the paper and onto the PCB, I've used a 50-50 mix of water and 70% isopropyl alcohol and applied it to the paper from the back while it is ink side down on a copper PCB to transfer the ink, no heat required! It works way better than trying to iron it onto a pcb
Could you please timestamp all the topics ? Something similar to DarkviperAu's rambles series would be perfect (but in podcast form ofcourse)
As always, thanks for the new episode.
UA-cam used to have a messaging system but it died off because it was incredibly hidden to begin with, they killed their only form of DMs... (edit: Nile mentioned it, still salty it's gone)
snapchat has been around since at least 2014 and it was a thing then! not like it existed, people used it then.
the dhar mann part surprised me, I think of those videos as moral stories for lobotomy patients. person does bad thing. then bad thing happens to bad person. don't do bad thing.
no William podcast? interesting
Any mention of the cow rotator - a real veterinary device - during the yoghurt bit would break them.
I love this podcast so much. tbh all had to say
I will say. I will defend the old iphones because when i was getting a new one i was told i could do trade ins for value and i think either the 5 or 6 was worth like 500+ just because it was the last iphone without a thumbprint scanner and older people feel safer with them.
Great job! Fun as always to listen to
going to miss big willy but the rest of squad is here!
funniest episode to date.
Jabril, you gotta get the unsweetened fat free Greek yogurt…. Siggis, or Chobani… Otherwise you might as well be eating candy there’s so much sugar…
jabrils should be a full time host he was perfect.
nigel is the assistant to the regional manager
Morality tales with instant karma and wish fulfillment turned up to a thousand.
did william die
If you want to test your like theory pick one of my worst videos I’m interested to see if it’s a thing
This podcast is really democratic without William on
bit disappointed that over that whole ass elon segment none of you mentioned him being a prolific conman, but meh we dont have to agree on everything in this parasocial relationship.. i still love you each of you very very much.
1:20:45 our boi admits to chasing clout
I would genuinely love to see you try and get Thunderf00t on the podcast, especially since he’s made references to things Nigel has done for videos etc.
Would love to see you guys all on the same screen
I went to college with this dude.
Amazing they got Tyler the Creator to be a host on this episode
Simply put, Dhar Mann makes really, really, really bad videos about unrealistic situations filled with unrealistic people doing unrealistic things. It's the video equivalent of an iced tea with waaaaaaay too much Sweet 'n Lo in it
I think I had a stroke while they explained why will wasn't in this episode
Time pass, amazing
what happened to william ? Did he die ?
Jesus so many bot comments already lol
whos this william osman mentioned in the description?
does nigel not know about bookmarking videos on tik tok?
is it me or is nile's video audio desynced
I know I'm like 4 days late and this'll get buried...
But when it comes to Bernard's snapchat and short-form video content, I would watch more of his Snapchat content personally, if Snapchat didn't have an ad every other reel.
i hate how linus plugs his merch.
makes you feel like the entire vid is an ad
I like the different host
Didn't know Nigel is a dharmann fam
You guys should all comment on this or another podcast video to see if it changes the algorithm response.
Damn I missed will in this episode but I dont want him to replace any of them.
5 man/stream podcasts dont look so good on video but I really wish this setup + will stays
what happened with will if i may ask
A microphone fire would have been awesome content.
I love these podcasts, but there are so many ads, I can't watch it. Every 5 mins. 1-2 ads. It might not be on purpose, but there it is.
Did they say where big Willie is?
There's something so relatable about seeing Nigel struggle to explain Dhar Mann to Kevin. I have had that same conversation with my wife, and it was equally difficult.
This is how I feel when Nigel struggles to explain anything!
its somewhat of a morality porn imo
@@whichline8408 that’s spot on, morality/empathy porn
i thought nigel got it across pretty alright though
I would pay good money to watch Bernard do pretty much anything 😂😂 Dude is from another dimension completely 😂😂
The best is right around 2 min when he sits down for like 2 seconds and then just leaves again, just so you know he's there
I love Jabrils little Minecraft-villager-who-is-trading sounds he makes
Can't un-hear 🙉
Nigel plug your merch more. I've been following you for years and didn't even know you had merch. It doesn't detract from your content. We understand that these things help UA-camrs make a living so it's like supporting a local small business. Plus, there's a benefit for the consumer. I hate to say it (bc it's kind of cringe) but these things serve as an easy conversation starter. Nothing is easier to comment on than "oh, you like x thing emblazoned on your chest? me too!". There's value for the content creator and the consumer there. I think plugging it at the end of the video near patreon would be fine. "These people support me, but here's another way to support me, etc."
Nighthawk would be a great guest, you guys should really do that
This episode feels like its when dad isn't around
Or having a substitute teacher😂
Nigel, please teach more chemistry reaction mechanisms in between long videos. It will allow you more time. You could even give previews of the current project you're working on.
I, personally, upload smaller content and show a series of reactions. I make a product, upload it, then use the same product that I made for a new reaction.
first 3 minutes and this is already one of the best episodes. Love this whole podcast series. Love Bernard being a reoccurring guest. Love Jabrils being the host. Love it all. Good fun vibes.
1:58 Bernard finally joins in just to immediately get up and leave again lmfao
Came for this comment
lol the attempt at explaining Dhar Mann without being offensive. Dhar Mann tries to take a political or social issue and reduce it down to a black and white issue with literally ZERO nuance and then tries to say what the correct way to handle the situation is. 90% of his videos end with the "underdog" getting rich and rubbing it in the face of the "haters." Yeah there are some true problems addressed in the videos, but Nigel is wrong. It's not 20% over the top, it almost always 200% over the top.
I love how Jabril and Nigel have the same laugh, but Jabril's is just deeper
One more reason to like Nigel: he had beef with Elon Musk 8 months before the dude gained millions of haters because of how bad he's managing Twitter.
There's a very special crackhead energy to this podcast that I love it for.
@Don't read my profile photo okay
@Don't read my profile photo k
I once went to a crackhouse and there was a pile of cigarette butts up to the ceiling and apparently there was a bathtub under it. This aint crackhead energy.
@@EddieBurke - same, except the cigarette butts where in the kitchen/common room, and the bathtub was full of layers of newspaper and feces because the toilet was broken. They called it a "shit lasagna." This ain't crackhead energy.
They don't care. They just talk about stuff that they want to talk about. They don't even try to make a very entertaining podcast, but it doesn't matter because we watch them for their personality in the end.
I hope Will's okay! I love seeing more people on the podcast and I love guest hosts but I wanna make sure our main boy is feeling good to keep doing this show
Nah he’s good I checked the sign out sheet he’s just in the bathroom
I love Bernard so much, I’m so happy he’s been doing the podcast more and more. Seeing him is always a delight! We love you Bernard!
The sheer SPEED with which these pods are coming out is giving me LIFE
I’ve never watched podcasts, especially not entire ones, but I’ve watched every single safety third idk what it is it’s got some magic to it
SAME!!!! literally i wait for every single one something about them is perfect
I shows this podcast to my biology teacher because he said he liked Nigel's content, he said he really loves it.
thanks for being an amazing teacher Mr lange
I actually found Jabrils because of a shoutout from Physics girl. Speaking of which she could be a good guest for the pod.
