What? Really? This has to be one of the best battle themes in any game of all time! The fact that I've had it as my ringtone for several years and still love it is a testament to that. Any lesser song, no matter how good, I'd hate after a week.

I'd like to think that the different layers cut in depending on the situation. Taking out or sparing a monster from the battle intensifies it, and healing yourself from near death calms it, etc etc.
