Hiccstrid through the years [from childhood to marriage]

YAAY! Finally! Part 2! The final HTTYD movie is out and so is this video! I can't believe we've actually seen the last one, so crazy!
Here's some pointers about this video:
1. First of all, look at Hiccup’s Bambi eyes at 1:49, how can anyone say no to him ever?
2. There is a concept here but I don't know if it's obvious or not. It's basically Hiccup and Astrid thinking back on their lives during their wedding kinda.
3. I do hope the volume is fine, I tried my very best to get the VO and the background music to match to not be too loud or too soft.
4. Hiccup and Astrid spend a lot of their time on edges overlooking the ocean. There’s even a couple scenes I didn’t include. It’s their thing.
5. I know the clip with their kids is kinda long but I dare you to remove those adorable faces, I know couldn’t.
6. I almost forgot the sparring clips, can you believe it?
7. The video is kinda long but we are blessed with a gazillion episodes and three movies (and some short movies) in this franchise so it was rather difficult to shorten it. But there could never be a too long Hiccstrid video right? I feel like that’s the opposite of a problem.

I stumbled upon this edit and realized something... The reason why people love hiccstrid so much is due to the fact that their relationship feels realistic. Sure the world isn't realistic at all but their relationship grew how you'd expect a normal relationship to grow. Not forced, nor rushed. Just the perfect representation of a relationship. Not only that the amount of development they went through with the first movie, the series, and the second was perfectly done. This ship is one of the best ships ever in animation history because of that.
There is also the fact that their relationship is woven into the story, rather than shoe-horned in. I've seen countless times where the relationship just exists within it's own plain of existence, whereas Hiccstrid has effects on not only Hiccup and Astrid but also everyone around them.
Is it a stretch to also say that their ship name is canon, after all Snotlout calls them by that name in RTTE.

@@terrarizer766 yea, I agree. I rather have Star and Marco be best buddies forever, not that I have their relationship, I hate how rushed and stiff the romance the two have.
@@fatb1rd I used to be okay with their relationship, as I didn't really watch svtfoe fully, and I wasn't too part into the community. But after I watched it later on, I was massively disappointed... There wasn't much development for them to reach that end point. And not only that, they ended the show like 2 episodes after their relationship became official. The whole show had so much plot holes and unused details at the end... It was just a massive disappointment.

Gotta be one of my favorite couples of all time. It's not just cutesy feels, they're an actual team that can challenge each other to be better!
Animated or not, Hiccup and Astrid truly are relationship goals.😊❤️

Hiccup and Astrid's relationship is very strong they both just very love each other. Like Astrid always supports him and believes him no matter what. I realized HTTYD3 really ended the Disney Renaissance with Hiccup & Astrid wedding, and the same lost of idealistic innocence they shared, to grow-up in this pessimistic 21th Century...

There couldnt be anything that told the story of these two vikings in love better than how you summarised it. This was something all the fans needed.
The end of the franchise was destructive to all of us. I cant even download the third movies soundtrack tomy phone because it is way too powerfull.
It is so difficult to understand this. That is has ended.
But when i say this; i belive i am sayin what eveybody thinks.

For being 30 years old each at the end of the 3rd movie hiccup and Astrid look great. You can clearly see they are great parents but then again after training dragons raising their own kids would be easy.

In the first movie where astrid kissed hiccup for the first time it really surprised me because at the beginning she kind of hated him and I actually never thought they would get together or marry each other I like that they did though they seem like a perfect couple
If you think she kind of “hated him” then you surely didn’t payed much attention to details, she never showed hatred towards him, she just ignored him but didn’t mocked him like all the others, everything she pointed out it was true, hiccup didn’t take training seriously and barely even tried, so for her, who’s world revolves around killing dragons and being valuable to her village was pretty annoying and unfair to see her efforts go to waste while this kid who couldn’t care less is just having all the attention, she was competitive and had anger issues, but once she got to know the real hiccup and his reasons, she just fell for him but didn’t know how to process her feelings, so she kissed him for saving them all not to have a serious relationship, they build their actual relationship throughout time and friendship
Imma re-watch the ENTIER HTTYD (movies, series, Netflix series) when I'm done with uni. And cry again after watching the 3rd movie🥲

And to all the people who say,” you’ll grow out of dragons”, ITS NOT JUST THE DRAGONS! Of course I love them and wish they were real but it’s the story and memories of this franchise. We grew up with it and now it’s a big part of our life going away. This franchise taught us determination, happiness, courage, patience, positivity, braveness, challenge, family and friends, sadness, love and now goodbye.... it hard to get a person who hasn’t grown up with this to understand like we do, actually it’s really hard to put into words how much this series means to all of us. I think HTTYD has actually taught me a lot of things in my life like betrayal and you have to work to gain trust like Dagur, Heather, or Viggo. And then there are the ones you can’t trust in life, like trader Johan. Even though it’s over it will forever be in my heart and I thank DreamWorks so much for allowing us to have this form of encouragement in our lives. Also the fan base is even more amazing, i don’t know how many people I have met over this franchise that I will never be able to forget. I love all of you guys and thank you for taking this incredible journey with me, I hope y’all will continue with me through shorts DreamWorks might make and continue our journey through life.
