Oh heck yeah, an hour long video on one of my fav decks? That’s what I’m talkin about
Literally the EXACT video I was asking for like two days ago hahaha. Preciate it!! 🤣
I love these types of videos!
Thank you for the video VV! I was inspired and made a video about the wano build for op-07. I think the deck has potential!
Support this man !
Feel like the 10c kuzan into 9c sabo the next turn helps clear bored so much plus with being able to play ryuma with gecko after also just helps so much more
9c zoro in this deck is crazy
This is what I’m talking about vv
This video helped me improve my Perona play a lot. Now I'm no longer losing endlessly on the sim. I was wondering how would you deal with Lucci? I feel like I can only win when they get dealt a bad hand.
Lucci is very strong in OP07 and will pretty much remain top tier in OP08 as well. I think tech'ing in cards like the 6 Brook that can Trash cards will be something worth messing with, but honestly it's just a tough matchup. If I come across any good answers I'll make a vid on it
@@Vvulfrik I already include him as a way to either deal with characters I can't easily rest or mess with the gameplan of Nami players.
Man that Kaido had game in the first one, he must've not played in set1 XD he missed out on the wombo combo
7:20 sabo and ryuma are also unsearchable
What you think about hody jones? I always lose to that card, decks like yamato just rest my bors and sabo and i’m done
Honestly, I think it would be interesting to try out in Perona, but it is meant to be more of a Control/Defensive deck. If you give it a try let us know how it goes :]
Whats the difference of an "activate: main" and an "on play" when they both come back on the field from the trash. Im lost at that part
So an On Play Effect happens when it enters Play. An Activate: Main Effect happens whenever you want in your Main phase.
So with the 8c Gecko Moria's interaction, you get to Play a 4c or Less and a 2c or Less from your Trash. In one of the examples I used in the Video, if you were to get back a 4c Ryuma (On Play KO a Rested 4c) and a 2c One-Legged Toy Soldier (Activate: Main Trash this card and -3c) You would not be able to combo the two together because the On Play Effect would happen before you had the chance to activate the Activate: Main.
Now if you were to combo it with the Hiyori I talked about, which has an Activate: Main Effect to play a 5c or Lower Land of Wano Character from hand, you can then choose the order of the Activate: Main's.
So that would look like this:
Say your opponent has a 7c Character and you have a Ryuma in hand when you play out your 8c Gecko Moria.
-Gecko Enters Play and his On Play Effect Triggers
-Hiyori and One-Legged Toy Soldier are chosen
-You activate your OLTS first to give the 7c Opposing Character -3c for the turn.
-Now you can Rest that Character with your Leaders Effect.
-Finally, you can activate your Hiyori to play out the Ryuma from Hand, which now has a 4c Rested Target to Attack.
Now, if you were to try use that combo without the Hiyori and just play out a 4c Ryuma and 2c OLTS with the 8c Gecko Moria's On Play Effect, you would not be able to use the 2c OLTS's Activate: Main before the Ryuma's On Play resolved.
Hopefully this helped, if you have any other questions I can try to answer them!
@@Vvulfrik yea that's awesome thank you. I have a navy/donquixote build for Perona, but want to try this build after
How to win against blue deck like dofla/boa in op08
Because Blue can Bottom deck it gets around Blacks resilience and trash recursion, so it will be a rough matchup no matter what.
Not really part of the point here (especially when this is more for the Moria deck than Perona), but man, I really wished that Captain John would lower the cost by -2 instead of -1...
It might not be meta, but it would make it so much better...
My deck
I didn't copy your list or anything I just straight up made this up for the video, but they're like identical from our playtesting lol. I just run the 4 Yama San's and you run the 3 Issho's, literally the only difference we came up with haha
This is what i will be playing in OP07. Fuck RP Law. Id rather lose to Enel.
That's a wild take there's nothing worse than losing to a deck like enel
Coming from magic being best of 3 to win the round. I believe all best of one games has more luck than skill involved to win. Not sure how much but definitely more luck than skill is involved in winning.
Ah yes, Bo3 is more skilled because you can *reads notes* sideboard in cards to make sure your opponent can't play turn 1 (think Chalice of the Void etc)
I know what you mean @roderick, but I do think that there is a way to fix best of 1's like how Flesh and Blood did it. If translated over to One Piece, essentially, you would start the game with a 70 card "pool" and at the start of game procedures, when both players sit down, they would reveal their Leader and both players would adjust their deck down to 50, according to the matchup. This works as a "sideboard" in a best of 1 game and I really wish that One Piece would take up this model, but I doubt they will.
Idk why people aren’t using Krieg in Perona…
Some people do, it’s me, I’m some people. I replaced brook in some of the standard OP6 lists and really like it. Haven’t had much time to test further but went 3-1 at my locals with that list and the Kriegs came in clutch for sure
@@michaelsindaha2507 I'm some people too. Have a good few of the players in my area that will target him down after I play him even if that isn't the optimal move just because of the emotional damage he can cause.
