This is a fantastic review, mentioning the security of the pockets was a key thing for me and I'd avoid them based on that and how I'd use them. I have some old North Face bibs I purchased around 1987... they're built fantastic but overkill for just a day out (great for skiing though!). Bibs are fantastic how they transfer heat from your legs to your torso and you need far less clothing to stay warm, I wish they were more popular with better offerings.

They are definitely an athletic fit. I had a large thinking that should be plenty and i felt like my stomach was going to pop the seams on a squat. I returned for an XL and waiting to see how that fits. I think its a good value and no frills bib design for the price.

I would definitely recommend. I've been taking them skiing and stomping around in the snow, I love them. Thanks for watching :)

I tried them on in store and L was a good fir for me 6' 4" 200 lbs About 37" waist. However, reading the reviews, it seems the material is very prone to tearing. I'm really just wanting to use them for deep powder skiing which isn't that often, so I'll still consider them.

Yeah the reality in my case is they'll be worn a few dozen times per year (for skiing). I'm loving mine, and it won't ever see extreme mileage so hopefully it's a very long term lifespan!

Thanks for the review man! Best one out there for these pants for sure! Really helpful! I’m torn between getting these or the insulated ones. Any suggestions?

I appreciate that thank you! Personally I try to ski in "good" weather and that usually means it's warmer. I feel like no matter what I always leave the mountain sweaty or at least hot, definitely with all my vents open. I'm in southern California and our local mountains get a lot of good days compared to northern USA or the Rockies. So I don't see the need for a more insulated bib for myself. You can always add a thermal layer underneath so it's versatile! Hope that helps. Also if you're not a skier and just want to hike or camp in the snow, I'd definitely play it safe and go warm. Thanks for watching :)

Is this waterproof? Thanks for the information.

Water PROOF is a stretch. It's highly water resistant. I have had it wet out on me in areas after about 6 hours of skiing wet/sleet conditions. I think that's reasonable. 99% of the time you can spend the whole day falling and sliding on your butt and stay totally dry.
