Here is the huge issue that is never mentioned regarding Ionizers, most being sold today. Yes some ionizers trap particles on an ionization rod, which needs to be cleaned on a regular basis {more of a PIA than a filter} or the unit becomes less and less efficient. But most of the SCAM ionizers being sold out there today don't really collect anything. They charge the ions in the air and tout that the charged particles will "trap" the dust and pollen.
Ooooh that sounds so good doesn't it.. But wait people, let's use our brains and think for a moment.. what happens to those "trapped" particles? They fall to the ground you say? I mean, they're not in the air anymore.. Right? So ok, now you have all these "trapped" particles falling to the ground, all over your house. Why do I say all over your house? Because there's no way to predict where a dust or pollen particle will collide with a negatively charged ion, and when that happens is when that dust or pollen particles will fall out of the air.
So let me ask you this.. how often do you vacuum? Cause if you're not vacuuming every day and you're walking around your house or have pets or children, all they are doing is kicking those same particles back up into the air.. over and over. Sounds pretty stupid to me and a total waste of money, not only in purchasing the device but also in the constant use of electricity that accomplishes absolutely nothing. At least with an Air Filter you can pull the filter and see that stuff is actually being removed.

What about air purifiers with an ioniser built in them?

Yea. Same doubt. Theres a button to turn off ionizer on my purifier. If i turn it off will it create ozone(through leaks)

Just 2 Scams in 1 device instead of 1 scam per device.
Just another scam for crap people dont need.
Except those with bad asthma and breathing problems.

What brand would you say is best?

@@dl54 I would focus on a product from a reputable company example Honeywell or GE it doesn't have to be the most expensive one either as long as it something that reputable and meets some certification.
Also pay attention on the filters and make sure the product doesn't have special filter can can accept standard sized filters that you can buy from 3 rd Party.
This way you're not forced to buy filters from the manufacturer or if the they stop making they you're not out of luck

Great video, Both the air purifier and ionizer offer 2 different roles and purposes.
For me the air purifier with filters cleans the air.
The ionizer uses charged particles to bond with dust and smoke and odors to take then out or neutralize them. ( This release ozone and other materials. I would maybe use a ionizer in my kitchen or my living room or by bathroom ( it also a disinfectants) once in a while just to clean out and decontamination. But use air purifier as by main source of clean air living room bedrooms

so you only want to use an ionizer only if the air is very polluted. this is a good idea cause i have asthma i don’t want any respiratory problems . i just want no dust in my room.

I just bought one with a voucher, even though it came from China, there is a warranty card and certification mark,i also do some teardown,i found it legit because there is an ionizer module with a brush on it

Should have mentioned noise levels as well. Air purifiers are noisy while ionizers are dead silent.

The principle of action of the air ionizer is to saturate the air with negative oxygen ions. In turn, aeroions inhaled by a person give their electrical charges to blood erythrocytes, and with them - to the cells of the whole body, normalizing metabolic processes.

Les ioniseurs ne produisent pas systematiquement d'ozone.

Ionizer for sure. My air purifier does O% at getting rid of my neighbors cigarette smoke odor that sneaks into my apt which is driving me nuts.

Heres something wild: cant ijust use a vacuum with a thin cloth to filter dust lol

    • @gamechannel1271
      @gamechannel1271 3 місяці тому

Most air purifiers come with HEPA filters which trap very small harmful particles. Dust is only a small part of the problem, and cloth will not trap those. Air filters are also designed to run quietly all the time so you will have clean air consistently.
