For me there is at least one big design flaw in Falcon: You have to open the top with all the electronics only to adjust the suspension!
WTF were they thinking? If you do that you have to be very careful every time because there are 100V which you better not get in touch.

This is very true, its a bit of a pain but if the wheel is setup one time and you dont need much adjusting its a pretty great package compared to what is out there now.

Andre! hi again --- nice talk about the Begode Falcon, as I too watched the SoCal guys go through evaluating it under their usual "pushing the envelope" riding style. Roger and Chris Torina both challenged the wheel and the way it held up to their tests is impressive. Like you, a second wheel would be nice (as you know, I too have an S22), but a Falcon would offer a different ride experience/style, ...... and more suited for me as a "chill rider" rather than a "performance rider". I have on order, a Mten Mini from eScooterclinic in The UK -- just as a teaching unit for when all our grandkids come out from The UK in August --- just hope it arrives in time!
I am keeping an eye on the Falcon availability in Europe and see escooterclinic have it on pre-order at 1600'ish quid ..... very tempted!
    Keep on keeping on!
    Rick

Awesome Rick I hope you used my code for escooterclinic to get a bit of discount. Does not cost anything. Mail Patryk and ask him if you can use my code. I have also the MTEN4 for my daughter on order from them and hope to get it some time soon. But yes the Falcon looks like a great solid fun wheel.

now falcon needs firmware update otherwise is dangerous to ride it at 30 mile speed...also the range isnt good reports are about 30 miles chill or 20 miles adt 30 speed witk 190pound guy...i was considering the wheell becouse of the small factor,ip67 and it is really easy to work on it...range kills it for me...i need a wheel that does about 30 miles at least with 30 miles of top speed most of the time....i will purchase the t4 pro...

Yes I did spot this problem at top end but I would not ride this wheel at top end there is then no margin. I would say this one is good for 22-28mph max. I have a 20 mile round trip to work and back and this one might just work for me. I can only go top speed at two spot during the ride and this is also not always just because its narrow and I have to deal with people with headphones and dogs. Hope they sort out a firmware as it looks like a great wheel for the price and what is on offer at the moment.

@@Andre-Mostert i would say the a2 in terms price ratio is still better...from asia you can get it for 800 euros on sale...i would say it really depends on ypu weight if the falcon is good for you...otherwise get the t4 pro...

Fully agree with that. The main thing is I get the suspension, not much travel but will make my ride to the office if the S22 is down a bit more comfortable. Thanks for the comment. T4 bit hard to get hold of there in the UK and this makes the problem of spares or parts a problem.

Tne wheel to wait for is when Leaperkim downsizes the Lynx to the size of the Falcon. Hopefully that will be an agile/light wheel worthy of purchasing new. Until then, a used S22pro may be a better value than it's newer competitors.

That would be a good shout and we can only hope that they do it. But I must say Begode has stepped up if I look at the top end ET Max and the Falcon. Just looks like pretty good wheels and for me the key is the lower price. My S22 is still going strong, squeeks now and then but I cannot be asked to take the wheel apart to clean the rollers. Keep well and thanks for the comment.

Well there are already comparison videos and the S 22 is an old dog.

Agree, but still a good ride for the riding I do. The mid range wheels is what I like as they are not 4000 pounds. But if you want the range then the big wheels is where its at.

This wheel getting lots of good praise but i think it falls short.
No BMS, spings and power not good enough for 200lb + riders unless you're just doing light trail riding like in this video.
I was thinking of getting it for slow technical trail riding but i wont purchase purchase another wheel without a active BMS.
    Love your riding area👍

All good points and I do agree that its not really for the heavier and rougher trails but I come in at 75kg - 165lbs and most of my trails are narrow and parts technical where this wheel with the off road tyre would make a great second wheel to my S22. Also at this price its pretty good. I also very rarely go past 30 mph so riding it between 22 and 28mph should make for a great little light fun wheel. But yes I need to check out the springs. Thanks for watching and the feedback.

Hi Andre! What is the maximum speed of your S22. I am thinking to buy the S22 pro + with 50S batteries. Is the S22 worth it in 2024? Thanks!

    • @Andre-Mostert
      @Andre-Mostert  3 місяці тому +1

The top speed on this one is about 40mph but I would not go that high as I dont want to come off or have any issues if something runs out in front of me or something like that. I have my first alarm set at 31mph and this is for me a great speed to ride with the kit I wear. The faster you go you looking at kitting up like a motorcycle riders and that is just too much for me. I must say the wheels out there are solid, they have all the bits updated and if you get the pro you have the new motor, batteries and roller sliders and a great suspension wheel that can tackle pretty much anything. Range 40miles at least that is what I get. If you ride slower you can get more. Its not too heavy but still a heavy wheel and it looks awesome. The price is also not top end and this makes a good mid range wheel. Oh and there are loads of aftermarket parts you can add on. Fairing plates and Grizzla pads. Hope this helps and good luck. Let me know if you have any further questions.
