Ok, Wilhelm did get a phone call before he and Simon went outside, take notice, when he was asking Simon if he could go to his house instead, he took his phone out of his pocket, looked at it and closed it. That would have been his mum or someone from the palace reaching out to him with the news about his brother Eric. ❤
