Wonderboy previewed this same jab, step off, jab + cross on his channel way back. He got a knockdown on Masvidal using this same technique. One of my favorite techniques to practice, and super cool to see it being taught from a heavyweight like Tom! You taking out Sergei in the fashion you did was insane. Cheers 🎉

Tom has great timing with his strikes and positioning. always adjusting his movements and distance then uses his speed to attack with a quick jab or counter what's coming.. pleasure to watch

MVP is an elite striker, probably knew what was coming but the bite he made at 1.38 was totally natural and unconscious. Shows how well Aspinall sells closing that distance on the feint.....great video

MVP is such a scary fighter, cool seeing him just being a chill dude outside the ring. Also, interesting how Tom's closer, more boxing style stance makes that shift to the side a bit quicker than the wider, more karate style stance of MVP.

I’ve always pondered since the origin of MVP in MMA why he never used the in and out feints to set up single legs, double legs, and body locks to trips. He’s moving at such an extraordinarily quick speed that most guys wouldn’t even be able to stop it.
Personally, would love to see him use it at least once in his career.
Yeah fr man a lot of people don’t realise that adding in a takedown or 2 a fight will make your striking a lot more deadly when you add in the threat of the takedown.
