Some stellar musicians on that stage. Been going to his concerts since Live Bullet in 75. No bells and whistles, a stage, some lights and some top drawer rock and roll. Best concerts I have ever been to....
Lorraine Gagnon , I agree with you. I went May 25, 2019 in Va. and it was the best concert I have ever seen. I have seen a lot of groups but Bob and his Silver Bullet Band were excellent. My granddaughter likes Old Time Rock and Roll. She has been learning the words and dancing like a crazy person. She is three years old. When they played that song at the concert, I thought of my little sweetie. When she sings it, it is Old Time Wock And Woll. 😂😂😂
Was a senior in high school he played two nights at Richfield Coliseum had to bail my brother out of jail to take him heard stories of Bob Seger playing the Sugar Shack in Columbus Ohio supposedly the Nancy he mentions and Fire Down Below is my wife's aunt don't know if it's true but it's dead on Seger tells the Story of My Life
Same here! 1955 was a magical year for us too. It was when they came out with the small block, to compete with Ford’s V-8, around since 1932. But that didn’t have near the Aftermarket ability that the Chevys did. And you know Bob worked for both companies.
As far as I'm concerned, parts of this video are visual footage of a live performance synced with the album version. This song is featured on Seger's 1982 album "The Distance", and the album's liner notes credit Bonnie Raitt on the harmony vocals.
@@kevingavigan7883 yeah you're right about that I didn't realize that until I noticed a lot of videos synced up with the original studio recording and it's not the live as it happens. this was a 3-year-old comment I made. I started to realize that more now when I realized some of this live stuff has horrible grainy sound too it's terrible and sometimes people will reupload it and put the actual track in and try to sync it the best way they can.
Tim Many of the rock stars of the past were robbed blind from the record companies. Life has passed many by and want some financial security for there family
This song says it all, We were young and proud, we were makin Thunderbirds... Bob Seger and Ford what a great combination...
Just had to have a listen to this song.. We had the best music in the 60s to 80s and I'm still rocking at 69..and still running against the wind..

Bob still kicks it after all these years kick ass Bob.
They were long and low and sleek and fast, they were classic in a word. The song's really about the decline of America though.
Truly a great song that never got the airplay it deserved. Still a classic, and still takes me back to a better time in my life and our history.
Makes you wanna go fast in a great car with a big V8
One of the great workin man anthems of our time (along with Feel Like a Number).
Three people were not long and low and sleek and fast enough to dig this tune.
They don't make music or even car like this anymore. And there can be only one Bob Seger.

Incredible song about a great era.
Now we have Mr. Potato Head in the White House and a cackling witch waiting in the wings……😕

Back in '75, I was making Firebirds!
Seger's the best! An American legend.

He's said the main reason he agreed to do it was to try and help preserve assembly line jobs in Detroit.
Do you have any idea what you’re talking about? Invincible ignorance may be a bailout for you
