This conjecture is all just hypothetical/for fun, and I wouldn't consider myself anywhere near an expert on these topics! I definitely don't know if this thought process aligns with what the character designers had in mind, but I do think it's possible!! I mostly wanted an opportunity to introduce people to new kinds of art/techniques they might not have heard of!
Wow, very high-effort content for a topic I haven't seen anyone else discuss! HG always goes all-out for their Sui events, so there's a near-infinite amount of angles to discuss Shu's event from, and I'm glad you got to contribute to the discussion with this unique insight. I'm sad I only got this recommended to me 2 months later so I cannot vote for it. I hope you make more AK content in the future, I think your perspective is very interesting!

Very fascinating, Shu's color design is very unique, the fact that there is historical inspiration for that makes the design even cooler to me.
