Bliss-out 💚
Loved that, thank you. Always loved that song and love the way you play it. Great.
Ta! x
I've been trailing the net for as good a transcription than Watching Wellar Work, you comrade just won..,..hands down X
Thanks very much, that means a lot x
One of my favorite songs. Great rendition...Beautiful
Thanks x
There's absolutely no shame in your rendition of this Masterpiece. Many have tried and very few have gotten as far as your proficiency. Cheers from Cleveland, Ohio
Thanks very much. Fire and Skill 🔥✊🏻
I’m a huge Weller fan and this is how I first discovered you. Bravo x
Ta! You wouldn't believe (or maybe you would?!) the dog's abuse I got off gammon Weller fans when I posted my couple of Jam covers online during the pandemic. They were apparently enraged (I've learned they do three emotions: rage, hatred and anger) because I don't have exactly the same voice as the Modfather, or I don't sing like him or whatever. I filmed cover versions of lots of different artists during lockdown and the only ones I ever got hassle over was my Jam one. So I filmed another one and invited them to do their worst and bring their dinner (which they did haha). So it's nice to hear something positive regarding a Jam cover for a change x
I’m sorry to hear that, Keeley. Sadly, some of those ageing Jam fans can be narrow-minded gatekeepers. Most of them are still cross that Paul formed The Style Council and began making soul music. I would have loved to have discovered these videos during lockdown. I really enjoyed watching and listening to all of them and I also really dig the original music that you write, play and record with your band.
Wonderful 😍 The song that famously left the knuckleheads scatching theirs... while the rest of us embraced the genius of his songwriting. Great stuff Keeley 👏 👍 👌
Thank you Jody. Wow was that the reaction to The Bitterest Pill upon release?! Shocking. It's the most perfect song I've ever heard - lyrically it's pure poetry, musically it's awash with melodic ingenuity. X
@@Keeleysound as you know, number 2 and did well at the time. I'm more on about the sort that still haven't forgiven him for everything post Sound Affects. Unbelievably they exist! The Jam Society types!
@@jodymaguire2660 God yes, the sort of oafs who regard progress as an uncomfortable disease! I think The Jam with the staunch and enormous 'lad' following they had suffered from that more than most. I'm sure The Modfather found it such a creative straitjacket being expected to churn out In the City replicas until the end of time. No wonder he rebelled so radically and explored Calypso, Soul, Funk, R n'B, Psychedelia and the rest of the bitches brew that was The Gift (incidentally my favourite Jam LP). A move which was ultimately more punk than anything, not that the knuckle-draggers would realise!
@@Keeleysound Great taste. My favourite Jam LP too 👍
Go on girl
Awesome, as always. Beautiful song. Bought my first Jam album when I was 9. The band had been split up a year.
Thank you x

Brilliant as always. You are such a natural!
@@Linda2011ism Thanks so much xx
@Helder Julio That I do 😊 I want to resume trying to cover the entire Smiths canon - finding sufficient time to do so is a significant hurdle what with the amount of promo I have to do for the single I have out at the moment. But I wanted to have a crack at my favourite song (this) before moving on to anything else. 😊
Very well done Keeley, I am no expert but you seemingly played this in a way that incorporated some of the bass line, Weller and Foxton , no mean feat.
Thank you. Yeah it's a job for about 5 people really 😊 I kept laughing during this because the lyrics are a tongue-twisting nightmare to try sing, let alone the guitar parts and bass line! Amazing lyrics but intensely tricky to sing, not to mention it being in an incredibly high key vocally. I'm going to post this in The Jam/Weller fan groups on Facebook in the coming days and I guarantee you I'll get dogs' abuse off the old punks because my rendition doesn't sound identical to The Jam's version. But fortunately I don't give a flying f**k what they think. 😊
@@Keeleysound For sure, how dare you indulge in such sacrilege, you will be rightly subject to the wrath of florid, beer gutted, Ben Sherman adorned older white men who would get into a fight over what colour polka dots were on Weller's shirt at a certain gig in 1980. (I am also a beer gutted older white male who loves The Jam so I can put shit on them ha ha ). I look forward to your next tune.
@@davidbidgood3987 Haha, love it 😂 Thanks David x
And that’s how it’s done. Beautiful job. And Weller’s finest hour.
Thanks very much. And I agree! It's a stunning song, SO underrated (especially by the cavemen but then what would they know?!) x
I like your voice.
Ta!
My 9yr old daughter asked for you play any Who tracks? She loves Behind Blue Eyes :)
Aw that's lovely. I really like The Who, I only know their singles though. Is Behind Blue Eyes an album track? I'll have to check it out. I'll have to teach myself to play a Who song especially for your little girl. 🙂
@@Keeleysound its off Who's Next. Beautiful song. I played all my music to her when she was younger and she loved it. She now has found her own path in music appreciation and I encourage it, although not really my taste! :) Behind blue eyes will always be a special song for her and I though.
@@GisForGolf I find that so beautiful. Thank you for sharing that with me. X
@@Keeleysound why can I not comment on your Facebook posts? :(
@@GisForGolf I have no idea! Sorry Graham, this is the first I've heard of this. I haven't yet had a chance to check any notifications on FB today, let me check and I'll get back to you x
Watch it not play it love ffs
What does that mean?
