Awesome ride dude. Love to hear your story and experience with it. I swear so much knowledge about these has been lost to the past. I'm a younger guy who wants to get into these but seems like high performance examples are so rare these days
That's a sick ride, not overly modded, it's super clean and I like that it's lowered but not sittin on the pavement...all it needs is dual exhaust and airbag suspension....motor looks bad as f*** too....nice rig bro....🇺🇸✌🏻
What a BEAST! Back in the day I knew this mechanic that had a black and silver SC. He did so much upgrading of the engine WITHOUT beefing up the 5 speed gearbox that one day while at a stoplight he blew the gearbox all over the road trying to impress some woman. This era Thunderbirds and Cougars are some of the nicest cars Ford ever made. I would take a non SC Thunderbird/Cougar just as much as I would take an SC. They are just that nice.
The ONLY thing a non SC has over the SC is the fact it doesn't have side skirts so u can watch ur rockers rot out instead of being surprised the day ur skirt falls off when u tried to get a jack under it(I mean one minute ur happily putting the jack under your what u think is beautiful SC,and the next u just don't even have an SC anymore because the rockers were completely gone). Also in the mechanics defense, back in the day there just wasn't many transmissions available that could handle the extra power that were also available for the Tbird let alone a supercoupe. There just weren't enough of these out there and WAY too many mustangs that got all the support. If it wasn't in the"summit racing" catalog it was tough to find.
Love the wheels and everything. That looks like some German / Japanese collab . Good job. Love the color too and also I learned to drive a manual transmission on one of the anniversary edition super coupes
Wow.. I remember you from TCCoA years ago.. I had a 92 LX 3.8 that was such a slug, and I spent so much time and money to get it more "lively" and then the damn engine ate the HG's. New heads were installed, and the damn engine had a knock after unfortunately.. not long after that, it was stolen! I had a 90 LX 3.8, and later on bought a 93 LX 5.0 and I was surprised as hell when I went to test drive it.. I thought it would be so much quicker than it was.. It was actually not too impressive off the line! I recently bought a 98 Mark VIII LSC a few weeks ago, and love the car - it was $5k with little over 60k miles on it, elderly owned still on air and VERY well taken care of and cherished. I am going to play with the engine and trans a bit, and maybe throw on some knock-off Cobra R rims like I had on my Tbird years ago, and will leave it at that. I have a newer model Lexus SC430 that I am really playing around with and its my fun car. I have a 2009 parts car, since my first SC430 was totaled. I have the 4.3 V8 engine on a stand (300hp / 325lb torque stock) and I am installing longer rods that are forged to make it a 4.7 engine, and will play around. My Mark VIII will be the perfect daily driver for now and plan to keep it!
That is sweet ride. Good job, not overdone. I cant believe the wheels fit so nicely under the car. I thought i could see special car given to the rear bumper lettering? I have a stock 93 sc myself. I do like what you've done with yours though. I may have to borrow from your success. Thanks for sharing the video.
Haven't seen you or the car in ages since one of the shootouts in Dayton. Hope all is well with you and the girls. I've still got my black 92 5-speed and I now have an white 89 automatic also.
Beutifull car bro I had a 91 stock I threw a k&n filter on it but ya stock and it ate up countless cars my cousins 91 5.0 being one he always missed a gear lol or whatever ofcourse would be his excuse but ya it's missed for sure hopefully I'll have another someday..
I just bought mine, it has 200k on the body, 115k on the motor. She has arp head studs, rear muffler delete, cone filter and an airbox silencer delete so far, so just little stuff. I plan on fully modding her out as a track spec
Wow I bet import problems suck especially for that one. That's awesome tho. Love super coupes . I learned to drive on a 5 speed super coupe . I remember outrunning alot of stuff with it because even in America , not many people know what they are
That SC is done proper. 2 questions please? What is the exhaust layout? Muffler(s) Resonator, Cats and Pipe size and is it Crossed or H? Brands too. Don't be shy. Please share the 411 my brother? Sounds great even being that it's the six. Usually the six sounds embarrassing compared to the twins of an eight. Yours sounds so sweet. Real deal, but in a sleeper sort of way. Plus you have the hint of the galloping cam in there, Nice! Leads me to my second question. The Cam with the heads, what you going on there? You have created such a sweet ride, it's like my dreams. Lol. I want my baby to earn the respect like that. Well done! The quarterhorse is an awesome addition to any iv ecc. It is pretty much a major essential for maintaining a successful relationship with the SC. Since they were orphaned by Ford. It' takes some heart to put up with the "precious" little SC. Lol. Thanks for sharing your little gem. Hope to hear from you.
Dual 2.5's with dynomax bullets into a Y. Single 3.5 all the way to the back with a small borla. Not much muffling. Kooks midlength headers too. No cats. Cam is solid roller. Cant even recall specs. Duration maybe 215-220? Lift not sure. Holds good vacuum.
@@micahmiller7313 i really appreciate the information. I really like how you did yours up. The sound, the look and the performance all perfect. The wheels are so awesome, they really show how well the car was designed. The size and the way they fit up under there. Again perfect! Thanks for getting back to me. Take Care and Stay Safe my brother.
Do people still put risers on their SC supercharger for extra HP? I mean u got the hood for it. I just remember in like 01 besides the pullies, tossin a risers on the supercharger was the quickest way to add some extra "pep"
U ever consider going back to the stock hood? I just know I had put the cervenis cowl induction hood which I LOVED,it looked badass and actually ran cooler, but over time I ended up wishing I had kept it stock, but then she rotted away under the rocker skirts without me knowing before i could ever do anything about it. U ever have any issues with the rear axels with the extra power? I only ask cuz I snapped 1 under stock conditions back in the day
The wheels are a bit much for me, but otherwise dope whip bro. I bought a mint 96 LX a week ago as my first car, so I'm just looking up everything about Tbirds. Are there any forums, or somewhere I can do some research into them? I honestly don't know where to start other than wheels/tires/exhaust/intake. Love from the 503.
U can get upgrades for ur base tbird from the SCCOA parts forums, like the 8.8 rear end. I've also seen people get the body kits and fill in the lettering to cover up the embossed "SC" logo's
Micah Miller. Same old same old. Sc is still looking good man! I bought Wagners whipple and went, 11.36 earlier this year. Going to try to get it in the 10s
SUPER BEAUTIFUL, BABY 👶 😍 ❤️

The rear bumper lettering was something someone aftermarket sold back in the day, might still be able to find it

Gorgeous car man, love the setup and mods!
Probably one of the coolest cars I've ever seen👍
Omg what a perfect car
That single exhaust
I would take this over a Grand National and day. Nice Job.
What a great comment! Ive always envied how easily those cars responded to mods. It took a lot of work to run 12's with my SC.
Ese es el mostro mas hermoso que aya escuchado antes 😍
Thank you! I have worked hard on this car

Where did you get the clear lights from I hate the stock ones that are in my 2 Sc's im gonna scrap one of them and put a turbo inline 6 in my Sc
I honestly cant remember. Think I bought em in 2005

So clean!

Thanks. Tccoa.com is geared more toward the LX. Sccoa.com for the supercharged 3.8's but you could learn alot at both places.

Lc-1 with an O-meter
Fully built engine?
No. Stock rotating assembly. Fresh bearings throughout and some ARP fasteners, etc...
If you dont mind me asking, what's your exhaust set up?
Dual 2.5 inch with dynomax race bullets into a single 3.5 inch exit and one borla muffler in back
