- with the brass tank valve arriving yesterday plus the staff buying gas for the non-honda water pump, it was time to haul water. Thor the dump truck who was formally known as Thor the plow truck had no problems moving around the Kingdom and delivering the water being a short wheel base. Thor is a 1983 IH Paystar 5000 designed for plowing air force runways during the cold war. now Thor is in retirement at the end of the world being used to haul water. the water haul was success and we did not have to haul the 4th load because of the off grid or living remote ways of collecting rain water had collected over 1000 gallons so far in the month of June. a simple water collecting system saved a lot of money and was cheap to build out of recycled materials. now the black tanks are full for pressure washing the collectable plus on hand for fire protection too. the 6th book "Russian Roulette" in my winter-ice road book series is on for being free as an eBook from June 26-30 2024 on Amazon, link below. thansk

King🤴, do you ever take a break ? Thor The Dump Truck is a beast. I changed the oil and serviced my Freightliner today. I was wiped out after that .100F temperature down here in Louisiana makes work slowly. I guess being 61 doesn't help either. At least my oldest daughter (42) came over and helped. Talk to you later.
no, we go steady everything because the boss is an as*hole. working on a freightliner is a work out with going up and down. plus lots of money now for an oil change too thansk

Just like you, I chose to live in the Arizona Strip. 33c at 3:30 AM that’s 94* F, 43c at 3:30pm that’s 110*F . 4 months of Hell for 8 months of great weather.

Wondering what model of me-Phone you use, it sure seems to be doing the job. Edit: also wondering what size the Cummins is, seem to have seen a few different specs.
also too, we had no heaters or fans going in the cab like when we do the plowing videos in the past. 100% luck on the recording that was not planned. these Me-phones are the old almost obsolete ones. not sure of the model but the staff knows. the 250 cummins just sips the fuel and put out lot of heat. thansk

Tripping over the dogs. That happened to me once, except it was one of the cats. I didn't hurt myself, but probably hurt the cat. It really woke me up, took a while to get back to sleep after that. Cat never parked in the middle of the hallway again. One hell of a surprise for both of us, and the wife heard the ruckus too, so that meant more guilt, after the fact....
I am not sure if the cat ever forgave me or not. And I sleep just fine, not knowing the answer.
I cannot believe the friggin' kids are still starting fires up there. Has nobody sh*t one of them yet????? Did I just SAY that ??
On my way home from work Tuesday, I stopped in the local pizza shop. 4 kids had just trashed the place and some other things not worth mentioning here. The whole damn police force was there like it was a major murder scene. And yes, all four of them were caught. But I am certain they will be released to go back, Jack, and do it again.
Yes, the old W-wash fluid. Was a household mover for many years when I was young and foolish. In the winter, we would put a jug of the blue stuff into peoples' washing machines in the wintertime, so that pumps and hoses would not freeze and burst sitting on the trailer for several days. Back when you could get a jug for 99 cents, or less on sale.
I had a 290 Cummins for a short while one summer while my truck was awaiting a safety or something. It had some minor irritating issues, but never left me anywhere.
Does the muskeg water stink all year, or only at certain times ?
i think cats are worse then dogs for a walking hazard for some reason. yes the kids today who destroy anything and everything will never be charged or have to pay back the damage. it will only get worse in the new world. people do forget about the washing machines when moving. thansk

The bubbles in the water are gasses from decomposing organic matter being held down by the weight of the water above, and are released when the weight of the water is removed.
