One common sign of a heavy flow period is whenever you feel like your about to faint or you fainted and just to let you know having a heavy period is someone who bleeds more than 80ml during the entirety of their period. A lot of girls overestimate the amount of blood they actually lose, anyone bleeding way more than 80 ml per period or vomiting should go see a doctor because it can be a sign of other problems. Also didn't they teach yall this stuff in sex ed classes I learned this when I was 14 and that's because I'm a guy and didn't think it was necessary to inform us of this stuff before 14.

You don’t lose more than 6-8 tsp of blood. Heavy is at most double that. It just looks like a massacre when it’s absorbed into thin pads but if you put it in a measuring cup it’s like 80 ml. You should be concerned if that much blood is what you woke up too. That’s like 2 menstrual cycles in one nap.
