Hello Kaori,
really enjoyed your honest review on this car.
I would be interested on getting to know your opninion in terms of repairs for a daily drive.
- it easy to find pieces/parts at the local dealership ?
Obviously, I have fine with having repairs here and there.. but this is an issue if part are hard to find and it takes me 4-8 weeks of repairs each time...
Thank you again for this video

Hey Sebastien! Thanks for commenting. I've owned this Skyline in the US for about 6 months now and I have had to do some maintenance and repairs. I've done a timing belt, water pump, thermostat, coolant sensors, replaced the driveshaft and driveshaft seal, and a couple other little things here and there. I must say it's not as bad as some may think, this car shares lots of parts with the 240sx/S13 and 300ZX. The few parts that were specific to the Skyline I either got on a local marketplace, or an aftermarket replacement online, which was stored in the US. No long wait times yet! Hope this helps!
@@kaoriisdriving Hello Kaori,
Really appreciate the thorough answer . This gives me a better idea on what to expect.
On another note, I have to say that I am not that much of a car enthusiast but I really enjoyed watching some video of your channel. I like the pace of the video and the honest review :)
But yeah, it is extremely competitive niche that you are on :) have to find a unique angle.
Take care Kaori,
Sebastien
Came here to say that I love your nails! Sweet wheels, too. Your MINI JCW Clubman review also further inspired me to want one on a side note. 👀
@@kaoriisdriving I mean the Clubman is on my wishlist for sure, but that's so sweet! Hopefully I'll see you driving and reviewing a JCW GP soon; now that would be a riot. 👀
Great video! Hello from Russia. Record a video with acceleration up to 100 km/h)
thanks! after i change the water pump ill gladly record that video for ya buddy
Damn its so cute 😆😍♥️🔥
This car looks cleeeeaaan as fuck, perfectly holding the line between generic sedan and sports car. The basic skylines look fairly awful though, so bad I haven’t even found any video about one. But it’s a Nissan so you get what you expect.
even though it's a sedan,it's still more cool than the coupe, but fr though, dafuq is that guy naked😂

if only lol. it was hard reviewing my own car because there were 0 fresh opinions or feelings in my head lol. any advice going forward?
Are the rear seats of the car useable or atleast bigger than the 86/BRZ? Also any idea whats the gas mileage of the car?
So yes! The backseats are actually pretty good. Leg room could be better, but head room and getting in (rear doors) are way better than an frs. In my skyline (rb20det, rwd 5spd) I was averaging 21mpg combined
@@kaoriisdriving For a 6 cylinder, RWD car, 21mpg's aint so bad. They dont usually make these of kind of cars anymore nowadays.
@@asdowo111 yeah I was pretty surprised a modified ‘91 turbo i6 got 21mpg lol
Nice! Have always been curious, how much is insurance on imported cars like this in the US? Given that you have a clean driving record lol
As a male under 25 without a clean driving record, I pay about $114/mo for my r32 and miata under Hagerty (in New York)

I can’t seem to find much GTEs on the internet. How rare are they and how much do they normally go for?
They’re pretty cheap. You can probably find an auto NA GTE r32 for around 9-10k USD
@@kaoriisdriving ill be on the lookout for sure hopefully i can find some
@@romanrendon103 I can help ya look. I have a dealer log in for Japanese auctions as well as friends that are importers
i’m looking into buying a GTS but i don’t kno bc i’ve heard parts are rarer then rare, i want to use it as a daily but my friend says that i might as well find another car that’s easier to get parts, i’ve also heard that their hard to work on, what do you think?
From first hand experience- mechanical parts, relatively easy to find locally and online as well. I’ve done some repairs and maintenance on mine without having to order anything, all of it’s been from like a 240 or 300zx. The rare parts are body and interior parts, that’s all. It’s a very reliable car and I daily drove mine for almost a year. But I would be devastated if I got into an accident in it, so I wouldn’t really daily drive one if you commute far for work. Also pretty damn easy to work on. Easier than a mini cooper lol. Easier than an RSX too
@@kaoriisdriving thank u bro i appreciate u for the fast reply, me too i feel like i’d be scared to daily drive it for that same reason hahah
@@kaoriisdriving also do you think it would be harder or to do a manual swap or just wait for the manual? because the car i’m looking into is an automatic but i guess it comes w a z32 5 speed transmission
@@erimistar imho, just wait til you find one that’s already manual (I’m lazy)
A 1990 gts coupe was my first car, in 1999. Wasn't that fast but it was fast enough to be fun, especially for a reckless 18yo who wanted to put it sideways around every corner possible.
