Moira Russel, I'm late answering your post but perhaps you still haven't checked out Barbara Dennerlein. Check her out. Rhoda is senior to Barbara and they have played together a few times such as here: ua-cam.com/video/Ra4kYAYCdeI/v-deo.html Barbara has definitely done her homework......
You maybe thought that when you heard the name Scott (b3 organ), you automatically thought of Shirley Scott. I love them both as well as most jazz organists, but I have run across many who knew organ players but had never heard of Rhoda Scott. I'm happy you know her now!

--- I ain't kiddin ' ya........ If you have listened seriously to the Buddy Rich Big Band doing this number, then Rhoda's version here sounds like eating a piece of soggy toast on a Black Monday......
I'll go one further. Having just listened to both back to back I prefer (personal opinion alert) this version precisely because it IS funkier at this tempo. & this so far unnamed drummer lays down a fierce tight repeating backbeat that many Jazz drummers can't (or don't want to) achieve. Rich can swing & is one of the Jazz greats, but funk? Not so much. Groove drumming is a different art that developed way after Buddy Rich had already firmly set his style.
Superbe ! I have played drums with Rhoda in 1992 ! great Artist !
Such joy!
Even Jimmy Smith would be impressed, You Go Rhoda, you play the key to my Heart.
This is so fantastic. Look how happy she is!!! So much good, right here.
Mille merci pour ce partage Quel talent Si d'aventure vous avez la toccata de bach pensez a moi Bon renouveau 2021

From a mad keen 76yo Aussie fan.
This is a wonderful groove -😎smooth, relaxing and poignant - a duplicate I'll endeavor to obtain on saxes, clarinet, flute and/or trumpet.
Yes
This is the version that drove me to learn the actual piece

Great tune really well played.
la meilleur à l'hammond
What a talent. What a joy!!!
YEAH...She got those pipe organ chops!!!
The Intro with solo pedal bits is Prelude No. 8 in B-flat Major BWV 560 by J.S. Bach or one of his contemporaries.
Oh! Amazing Rhoda!
Great deconstruction of the Bach piece
Grooving hard
Bring it!
wonderful ludwig butcher set with acrolyte snare

B3 avec LESLIES !!!!!!!!
Girlfriend is definitely having fun!!!
3 people got no soul :-(
But the question remains... WHO IS THE DRUMMER?
Cees Kranenburg
Pretty good,
but I prefer cannonball Adderley’s version
ya se que tocas bien pero yo tambien toco todo lo que vos tocas vieja calienta pavas
Wtf?
Rhoda takes this much-recorded number far too slow and all the funk that was originally in it has already dissipated and evaporated....
ya kidden me ? come on

I love the Buddy Rich version also ,But you cant really compare the energy and arrangement of a big band to a Gospel Soul type Organ Duo.
OK, no disagreement there..... fair comment.
