- How to replace the Rear Wiper, the EASY way!
For the 2020-2023 GMC Acadias, This is on page 286 of the manual. From what I’ve seen this is the same 2017-2019 models, I’m just unsure about the manual page #.
Most Of the videos on here are making it way more complicated than it needs It takes about two minutes once you figure it out.
Pry Back the whole wiper arm Assembly from the rear windshield, it will only come out about three. You’ll need a short screwdriver/tool To get in there and press a tab out (away from the windshield). To get an idea of what the tab looks like and where it is, look on your new wiper that you want to put on. Once you push on that tab, the wiper should slide out to your left (Toward the center of the car). Put the new wiper on the same way the old one slid off, you’ll feel it click into place.

Thank you for the video. I had just bought a used Acadia and the first rainstorm I noticed something was not right with the rear wiper, it was making a loud "clunk" with each swipe as though it was not secured properly.
When I got home, I inspected it, and as I lifted it away from the window, the whole blade just fell to the ground. Upon inspection of it and reading the manual, I noticed the tab it mentioned (that you showed here) was not present on the blade installed on mine. The picture in the manual ans description where not clear, so I was unsure if the tab mentioned was meant as a permanent fixture on the Acadia itself and would require a new wiper arm assembly (expensive, but unlikely) or if the the tab was part of the OE wiper blade and someone had cheaped out with a knock off that didn't fit (easy, cheap and most likely) . After viewing your video, I can now confidently order the proper blade directly from my GMC dealer instead of involving their service center and paying labor on a simple wiper install.
In fact, it will be here in 3 days. Minimal rain predicted in that time.

Just finished mine I knew it was something stupid silly. Just an FYI I was able to pull the arm on my 2019 out past the stopper to see clearly without damage to the arm or spring. I just had to give it a little harder pull
Really? That’s what I figured you could do but just too scared to try it. I’m gonna attempt to remove my wiper tonight. Again.
Just don't go mental lol it worked for mine and the wife hasn't complained yet
I tried every youtube video with much frustration. Instructions are fine, but I cant see upside down. I bought a cheap small compact mirror from the Dollar Tree and put it against the glass and could see everything, making it easy peasy to see.
