I never saw a women race in live ( except the last 3 world champs ) and sunday i will see LBL live due to LR who created to me a real interessed in those race with all his work ! 😁❤️💪

And the thing is that women’s cycling is just cycling! It’s no different other than race length. Same mountains, same level of skill, same bikes (negligible difference in some). If you like watching elite athletes attack climbs and sprint it out... here it is. Why it’s treated by media and sponsors as less than...? They’re all out of excuses.

Pro cycling in general is in a good place at the moment - exciting races, potential and delivery of different winners. Some established stars, some new riders coming through. Lots of personality. I'm talking about both men's and women's cycling. I was screaming at the TV for Niewadoma/Van der Bregen as much as for Roglic/Allaphilippe. Looking forward to two races on Sunday.

Agree: She's a great racer who, unfortunately, like Longhi Borghini, has been bested by Van der Breggen and Boels Dolman and, now, SD Worx for most of her career. Lots of podiums and these two deserve to win some big races yet.

Van der Breggen looked like she had it the whole way, but Niewiadoma made her work. Great riding and great racing.
Loving the girl's coverage, commentary and analysis.....the sport is WAY, WAY, WAY BETTER for it.
And AVDB 7th consecutive title in WC jersey, from the front, with no attacks, from the middle of the toad at tempo.......HAS THERE EVER BEEN A MORE COMPLETE, CONFIDENT, IMPERIOUS RESULT.....against, clearly all the very, very, very best all on incredible form.

Funny that Niewiadoma was so reluctant to say she was disappointed. If you're going for the win you're perfectly allowed to be disappointed lol, even if 2nd place in a race like this is obviously extremely respectable.
I didn't really take it as her being disappointed. More like her being happy about a strong performance and slightly disappointed that it wasn't quite enough. As an outsider imo Cycling has this win or bust approach and especially for these 1 day races I feel like the community should open up towards the 2nd winner rather than first loser approach.

Awesome to see how these women handled three minutes of hell. From the base to the line at the top the Mur, it's show-your-cards time; how many watts have you got, and can you put them out for three minutes. OUCH!

Its sad to see the 7 time winner retire, but hey not many can say there were a 7 time winner! Its good that you are covering women's events too, gotta help them get the coverage they deserve for these great races!
Women’s cycling is one of the special sports where not much is lost from the fitness differences between men and women, love this content
Uphill finishes for women's races are where the sport really shines. You get the unpredictability, the ability to see things happen slower and really get to appreciate how it is endurance, power-to-weight and the team effort that make the win. In men's racing, it is often a show of freaks of nature, and burning matches.
Epic finish. These boss level women makes some damn fine bike race.
Anna is a beast on that climb, she owns it.

I didn't look women cycling in général, just the last kilometers of the world champs the last few years... But your videos made me wanted to see some women cycling and this sunday i will watch Women's LBL live ! And except world champs it will be first time i see a women race live ! And with all your videos I pretty much know all the big names now even i don't watch it live or even highlights, until now i allways looked it in your chanel. On sunday i will be with Niewiadoma in live all the race ! 😁💪

Niewiadoma rode Huy very smart. She knew AvB's weakest sector is the steep part, so she gave an attack there.
She also forced AvB to the outside. Kasia knew exactly how to ride it.
Both, mistakes that Pasio made against Boels AvB in very similar circumstances- though Pasio had to contend with AvB's teammate blocking in the finale, which I thought showed no class.
So, Niewiadoma did start the Huy too far back and maybe wasted a bit of energy trying to stay side-by-side, forcing AvB to the outside, but the real mistake was the peloton allowed AvB to set her own pace.
But when someone as classy as AvB has the legs, not much anyone can do against it.

The Belgians are one open-minded bunch naming their most famous climb after a British track cyclist;-) While it will be hard to pin down the correct French pronounciation ("ü-ee-"), the walloon way of saying it might be feasible: oo-ee, pronounced rather fast. Doesn't' matter though, as long as keep posting those great vids. Thanks!

I know you make a lot of pronunciation efforts, but I feel like I have to tell you: "mur de Huy" is pronounced "mur de Wee" and not "mur de Hoy" 😅

Laterne’s women’s world tour coverage is second to none. Chapeau for championing these races. I’m a huge fan of watching cycling (mostly via LR’s superb range of cycling media over the past few years changing the whole game!) and in my opinion the women’s races often have more excitement from start to finish than the men’s races. Looking forward to continued LR coverage 💪

Love the breakdown that was amazing as always you're phenomenal as far as breaking down a race. And I agree completely it's mind-boggling to me such a talent to retire at the end of the year. But I do understand it's her life to live it the way she wants to live it. But as a fan oh my gosh what a talent seven in a row just incredible!

When you are right behind someone on their wheel but then they get a gap on you means you lost the wheel.
Been a fan of Kasia Niewiadoma since her wins in The Womens Tour 2017 and 2019 Amstel Gold both gutsy wins. Gutted for her for last week's Dwars door Vlaanderen but she's on an upward curve.
What I like, she digs deeper than anybody, man or woman, and it's a trait I admire. Hope she wins a big race soon.

Why was the italian not in the champs jersey at amstel?
Longo Borghini was in the pink/purple Women's World Tour leader's jersey at Amstel, but Vos took over the lead of the World Tour by winning there, so Vos was in the leader's jersey today and Longo Borghini went back to wearing the Italian champion's jersey. Even though Longo Borghini finished third today, Vos finished 11th and still (just) leads the World Tour so will continue to wear the jersey.

When you have already won everything, it is probably not so exiting to win another edition of the same race. Then you want to try something completely different.
Interesting how both today's winners "took the day off" last Sunday yet were ready to win today? Color me sceptical but a racer like Alaphillipe rides to win not to go backwards. The incredible returning form....
