Good video. I've subbed. Question, can you show multiple streams on yours? So say I have four teams in a tournament, and I am showing my viewers their Gameplay. Can I show all four at once, or do I have to switch?
You absolutely can! Either through RTMP streams (taking them as 4 separate ingests) can also do this with Twitch links as well. Just have to have a good PC to run all of them at once!
So often times they don't. Often they will be in the game as well as an observer and will craft their own POV. Otherwise, you will also have to stream your POV via discord as well so they can see it. That is very CPU and Internet intensive however, so you need a good rig to do it. Easy to do using OBS virtual cam, which now comes stock in OBS.
Great video! I have a question, do you have any idea if OBS could run on a Chromebook? I have a good Chromebook it runs pretty fast but it’s not on windows nor it’s a PC. It’s a laptop. Do you think I could host eSports streams (starting)? I don’t have a standard Chromebook it’s pretty alright. It’s a “ASUS Chromebook” since I don’t have a PC or windows computer I’m not expecting the best but if it’s alright then that’s good. Im starting anyway.
Hi! Thanks for this video. I have a question and I would greatly appreciate your help. I'm trying to host an Esports tournament remotely and stream it out on UA-cam. Do you have any advice on how I can capture the gameplay of the participants and input it into my encoder so I can stream it out as part of the broadcast?
Ideally you'd be able to observe gameplay from within the game itself in an observer mode. If your game doesn't have that it gets a lot harder. Easiest solution at that point is to get your players to stream their POVs and you need to manually grab those feeds and bring them into your setup. There will be quality loss unfortunately, and even if you have them all stream with the same delay (say 30s) it still won't always line up exactly. Not an ideal solution but probably the simplest.
@@InVerum thank you so much for this! The tournament I'm trying to organize is a Fortnite tournament but unfortunately Fortnite doesn't seem to have a spectator mode. Might you have any advice as to how I could get around this?
@@brianwhitney3879 pick a different game? Fortnite does have customs for certain creators I believe. There is an obs mode for their esports. But doing a battle royale without access to an observer mode is impossible.
Nicely explained buddy, I’m sure many will find it really useful.
Judo sloth here? God dayum. That's what you get when you make a banger tutorial

Unfortunately not, it doesn't look like OBS is supported on Chromebook.
