LOVE that little side table, lol. It looks quite Mid-century Modern. The outdoors picnic table/seating areas is quite clever, too.
Thanks! While making the side table, I had someone insisting I give them a price for the side table, but didn't know what to charge.... because as you can see, it's only a 5 minute job! 😂
Very cool love it 😍😍 particularly love the lazy Susan that was a genius idea. Plus you know this is gonna last years 🙌🙌🙌
I hope so! 😂 And thanks so much, Claire! It was my father in law who gave me the idea of a Lazy Susan... probably because they raised a family of 5 boys fighting to eat 😂 Love how it turned out and can't wait to use it!
It looks great! I love the design with the half cut seats - so clever. Definitely worth supporting the seat bottoms but that might be better done when it's in place I suppose.
Wotsits and onion rings = instant like! 😁
What a cracking project. Just brill. 👍
Thanks ☺️ Don't forget the mixed nuts too... they're mine because they're Keto lol 😆
I love it! Beautiful color of stain, very natural. And you gave me a great way to refinish my old umbrella! It was tan, now it’s faded, stained and gross. I thought I would have to throw it away but not now! Thank you for sharing this! 👍👍😊
Definitely try and restore it! 😊 I was surprised how expensive they are full price 😲
Haha.theirs just no stopping you is their mate.good job and well done vikkie.always love your vids. Keep em coming OK.👍x
haha... I just get so excited when I come up with a design idea😊 especially as this is going to be used a LOT 😂
Good vid , I've seen loads of people do these using water board or open reach drums 🤣👍
Hope you've never seen this exact style before though?? 🤔😂
Fantastic Vickie. Love them. Well done
Thanks so much ❤️
Brilliant adea
Thanks Dene :)
Good job, love the idea and how you made it.
Thank you very much! You're more than welcome to copy the idea ;)
Nice job Vikki enjoyed watching very inspirational popsi🇬🇧
Thanks so much for watching :) Really appreciate it!
Very nice video! I love your creativity! Thanks for posting this.
Thanks so much, Mike :) Had so much fun coming up with it... I'm pretty sure I'm going to be using it a LOT after DIY projects😊
I love this! I have always wanted to up cycle a cable drum! If you really want to go posh you can make little semi circle seat cushions for next year with elastic straps!
And who ever was Suzanne, she was never lazy just smart! lol
Great idea!! I may also look into playing around with seats that hinge! And I'm curious where lazy susan came from!! Apparently it's something to do with Thomas Jefferson, but nothing's confirmed online! :)
@@TheCarpentersDaughterUK Ok. Is that to keep it upright when not in use to keep the rain off? Could you make a little cupboard in the middle underneath or is there too much in the way? If so, you could always run a hose through the middle and connect it to a beer tap that runs back through to a beer keg? Then you can make the excuse of buying one of those wooden beer kegs by bulk buying beer and you can make something from it afterwards. You see where i am going with this! lol ;o) Those beer barrel kegs would make a nice cabinet plus you have a serving table on top!
Apparently he invented the revolving book shelf too. Those sorts of things are great for corner cupboards too unless something gets stuck. I saw a video i think on twitter of a guy who made a sliding drawer and corner storage like a backwards Z but the centre bit is straight. Hard to describe but he pulled out the first drawer and then slid it left so he was able to access the corner drawer and pull it out. All using those drawer slides. Quite cool concept.
Yes, for rain to run off :) I considered a cupboard initially, but with the top being so heavy, I feel the middle slats offer extra strength to the metal rods inside and the thought of it potentially breaking bones turns my stomach. But the keg idea is GREAT... I love how there's so many potentials with them!
Fancy that it is, it seems quick and easy in the video but I bet there was a good few hours work in that. Hope you get the chance to do some more boat stuff soon too.
Thanks! As you can imagine, the cutting is what took the most time :) Other than that, it's relatively quick! I've got a few videos to edit regarding boat content, but that will be on my new boating channel.
@@TheCarpentersDaughterUK Oh fantastic when will that be starting, what will you call it, Vickie Lee goes to sea? 👍👍👍
It's already LIVE :) ua-cam.com/channels/wH9T95W4QXYqQo8UJFC2LQ.html
Wow! Another fantastic couple of inspiring projects. I'd only be able to put three legs on the coffee table as I just know if I used four mine would always rock ;-)
3 would work :) Does that mean your floor's uneven?
@@TheCarpentersDaughterUK nope, it means I'm nowhere at your standard :-D
Lol... there's absolutely nothing to this table 😉 It was funny while building it, I had one of my Dad's customers try to buy it off me 🤣
turned out good. the coffee table worked out well too, its a pity it can only be used for coffee though.
haha... or maybe the hole in the centre could be made larger for an ice bucket/wine cooler 😜
Genius🤗❤️🙋🏻♀️🇬🇧💕jane
Thanks so much! ☺️ I love how quick this was to design on Sketchup and worked out perfect for me 🥰
Very nice Vikkie, it looks fantastic, got me thinking now there are loads of them reels near us 🤔
Keep them coming thanks
Thanks! :) Definitely worth making a few if they're accessible... to sell... not just for yourself!
Every time I've gone to my Dad's woodyard since making it, so many customers have asked how much, taking photos of it or sitting on it to wait til my Dad's available.
@@TheCarpentersDaughterUK great little earner, get them ready for next summer 😉
Crack on with your inventory then 😂😂 But seriously.... I really should do that too!
@@TheCarpentersDaughterUK you’re doing it already I appreciate your hard work and effort you put into your videos
Very good 👍 👏
Cheers 🍻😊
Kool!!!
Thanks ☺️
Cool project, Vickie and a testament to your creativity. I'm an old coot, so I remember back in the 70's or so when projects were all the rage, but I haven't seen one in a coon's age.
Thanks for the video.
BTW: What would a girl do without her dad?
Thanks! It was absolutely fun to design and make! I can see myself making more down my Dad's woodyard... his customers have been asking about it so much while he stores it for me 😂😂
Would love one like that in my garden just don’t have the space
That's a shame! What about making one as a 2 seater from a smaller one?
Quite imaginative, I would have just plonked them down as is and be done with it. One suggestion, flip the bolts holding the top down on your lazy susan, especially if they're cup heads.
That's definitely one way to do it 😂 And thanks for the tip!
What would make from a cable reel??
I haven't a clue.
Nice work. Nice Finnish. I had a cable drum but sadly it was to far gone to try that . you're lose nuts ! You can get nylock locking nuts or a drop of super glue , super glue will undo with a wee bit of heat if needed.
Thanks so much! Love the superglue idea as can imagine most will have some in their home!

Thanks for watching ☺️

Out of interest why is the brand of your drill pixelated?
I was wondering the same, suspect it is an eBay requirement though.
Probably as it’s not from eBay ? Or eBay has an issue with Dewalt 🤷♂️
