    I like the Quasar, though it would be better with 12.5 seconds for the cooldown instead of 15 seconds.

      It would, but then it wouldn’t be remotely balanced. It’s already sitting comfortably at the top of the anti-tank class with the Recoilless.
      The RR is the undeniable king of firepower, but is a challenge to aim past 300m and requires ammo. The Quasar is the tank sniper easily capable of 600m kills, but lacks the raw firepower to nuke a bot drop.

      I think the cooldown is fine, but the actual charge time to shoot should be reduced. Idk how long it is now, but I think they could afford to shave off 1-2 seconds and it would feel a lot better

      How about 5 second cooldown. Still enough disruption, but not game changing.

      @@adeadfishdied It wouldn't be unbalanced, as to why 12.5 seconds as standard cooldown, the planet modifier because on cold planets you get 2.5 second less cooldown and on hot planets 2.5 second more

    I wish the Quasar Cannon cool down time was cut in half. But I love when you have access to 2 of them. That way you can shoot one. Then pick up the other one and shoot it off while the first one cools down. You can effectively keep firing shots nonstop

    I always use the quasar on bots with my stealth build! Typically run the Diligence counter sniper, senator, thermite grenades, strafing run, orbital laser, jump pack and quasar with scout armour, works wonderfully on cold planets like vog sojoth

    I like fighting bots and one combo I like is Quasar + shield generator backpack. The backpack helps if you get hit while charging up the quasar shot. I can imagine it'd be great with jetpack also to get to high ground and snipe fabricators easily.

    do you know that there is an option to remove or reduce all that camera movement when things are dropping and exploding around you ? might be good to activate it , reduces a lot of "visual Stress" induced by all the things going on, i removed the visual bouncing all the way and feels so good, honestly

    Quasar is great. I currently dont run a backpack, so id LOVE to take the recoilless, since it somehow just feels so nice / fun to use to me.. BUT whenever i do there is literally so many heavies spawning that i run out of ammo. So Quasar it is, pretty much always. Then it's just annoying when there is too many heavies per unit of time, but at least you cant run out. Two or more people using the quasar is really strong.

    Anti-tank turrets are really good right now, after the cooldown reduction, you can pretty much always have them ready at any objective or just holding back bot drops. Quasar's 15s cd really killed it for me, I get that Arrowhead is putting it on the same level of output as EATS, but with EATS you can fire two rockets back to back.

      Problem is that EAT-17 take a full minute plus calldown time between shots. You can fire 4 shots from the Quasar in that time frame.

    Hitting a tank on its underside before it drops will destroy it. Taking out the dropship feels like a 50/50

      ​@@levonflodqvisti dont know this for sure but the EAT dont require specific weak spot shots? While the quasar does? I see BG always aiming the quasar at the ships engines..

      @@spiritualviking8094The Quasar does not require gunship thruster shots. In fact, you should be aiming for the larger body to ensure you hit.
      Both the Quasar and EAT require two shots on tank front armor.

      ​@spiritualviking8094 at this point the spear is just a worse RR lol. And yes ik it has lock on but id rather have to deal with the aiming learning curve with 6 rockets compared to the spears 4. Also it doesn't oneshot factory striders in the head unless you get lucky and hit the eye, which the lock on doesn't even focus on.

    Unavailable to shoot down and explode dropships, one-shot ATAT, still not my pick.
    RR is far more better.

      Ice planets decrease cool down and so they are good for pretty much any laser weapon such as the sythe, sickle, dagger and even laser cannon

      Whats the cooldown on a non-ice planet then? Compared to the ice ones.. i wanna calculate the "worth" 😅

      @spiritualviking8094 12.5 versus 15 seconds. With the charge up included it's 15.5 versus 18 seconds for the total time between shots, if you're on a cold or normal planet.
      It has the power of a EAT rocket or one rr shot.
      The trade offs are: with EATs you technically have a free support weapon slot, with the quasar you have unlimited ammo and can fire as many times as you want as long as you have it equipped, and you can use whatever backpack you want, and the RR takes up the support and backpack slots both, but has less time between shots and potential burst damage if someone is on your shoulder with it
      All three are the same power, shot and ap wise, it just depends on what kinda loadout you want to run and your playstyle
