  • In this video I show you step-by-step how I design my own planner for April using Canva.com. For this month's setup, I created a cover page, calendar, goal planner, monthly task list and a weekly planner. I decided on a navy and orange theme with line art leaf illustrations.

      Hi Leah. Your printer should have a setting where you select "fit" or "shrink." If you choose one of those settings, it shouldn't cut off. Sometimes when it's set to "actual size", it cuts off. Hope this helps 🌻😊

    Thank you for the video❤ do you use Adobe programs to create planners and all the other things? Or only Canva? Cause I don’t know where to start, do I need to buy those very expensive programs or I can only stick with canva and regular Microsoft programs while creating planners?

    • @JMThings
      @JMThings  11 місяців тому

      I always try to do things as cheap as possible while also staying professional. Canva has really provided that for me. I've never needed another program to create my planners. But I guess it depends on what you want. If you're happy with using Canva's elements as is, then use Canva. But if you want to design your elements from scratch, then you'll need something like Adobe. Hope this helps ❤️

      Hi Barbra. 👋 Hope you well. Did you get the answer to your question 🤔 I think that I saw the option in this video " add a page" which means automatically you will be continuing to the next page. Hope this helps. I'm just trying to get all the information to start with this great opportunity. I think that Amazon is way to saturared. However I subscribed to Bookbolt and it automatically generates the amount of pages you need when starting a project. Good luck and I hope you have been enjoying your journey with planners and journals. Greetings from Tanzania.

    I'm kind of confused with this video. I'm not following how you're creating the days of the week, lining them up evenly creating your side margins, your top margins, I'm just not following. Are you stating that in the video or am I missing something

    • @JMThings
      @JMThings  2 роки тому

      Hi Barbra. Canva has automatic guides (lines) that show up when you try to line up elements. Canva also shows you the margin lines when you move an element close to the margin. I rely heavily on these guides. I hope this helps 🌻

      @@JMThings Maybe I'm not explaining this the right way. I want to create a 5 by 7 planner page. I want that 5 by 7 page to have half inch margins on the top and bottom and both sides. When I tried to slide those guides over to the half inch spot the numbers on the rulers will not match up exactly to what I want my numbers to be. For example The half inch margin will read .499 instead of .500 and I go back and forth and it won't connect in that exact spot, it wants to snap to a different measurement.

    • @JMThings
      @JMThings  2 роки тому

      @@barbra429 Ah yes, I've experienced similar problems. Unfortunately this is an issue Canva has. The best way to work with it is to zoom in as much as you can. The more you zoom in, the more precision you get. But it might still happen unfortunately and there isn't necessarily a way to fix it.
