Glad you are spending more time exploring NC. I believe your dates are incorrect. The parkway was started in 1935 and mostly completed by 1966. The viaduct around grandfather mountain was completed in 1987 not 1938 and that 7.7 mile section completed the blue ridge parkway..
When they were building the Linn Cove Viaduct people had to drive 221 around that section of the parkway. 221 was nicknamed the "get right with God road." It is a beautiful ride.
Makes me sad there are 40K views and only 2 K likes. If you like this channel enough to watch it, the least you can do is hit the like button. Come on people, show some love for Chad & Tara !!!!
Once again you're showing me an Undiscovered Campground in my home state!! I too have spent most of my camping tire wear heading south ...looks like I'm going to have to start exploring the Carolina Hills.... Thank you again for the excellent excellent info!!!
ha ha ha.. you said the viaduct was finished in 1938, Actually 1983, I was there and helped cut the ribbon. Very cool. In 2019 the "refreshed" the via duct with some repairs and asphalt. First time since it opened!! Wonderfully built road!
She had them start their bikes and gave them treats to feed her horse...really good training for a young horse...wishing all motorcyclists would do the same.
My wife and I camp and love the Linville area. We go to blowing rock for our anniversary and stay. We’re about an hour south from there. Every bit of footage I can finally relate to. Glad you guys enjoyed beautiful NC!
That was a very interesting place to visit, thanks for the invite. Always enjoy following your ventures, saving us a lot of $$$ along the way...lol. Glad to see everyone seems to be doing fine. Safe and happy trails.
Its so refreshing to watch this video, it's truly great knowing you enjoyed visiting my childhood home. My family is from Pineola, and the Jonas Ridge area. Growing up with the Linville Falls and Grandfather Mountain as my playground was an incredible experience. It's really awesome to hear you enjoyed your visit. You guys are definitely on my watch list. Thanks for all the videos you share.
Glad to see you in our home county. Cannot wait to see more. The season has changed since you were here 🤣. 38 degrees and windy in Blowing Rock today. Safe travels.
We were JUST in Banner Elk in June at our Timeshare. We did NOT see this campground. You are correct, Banner Elk is a very NICE area with some $$$ homes. We hope to go back and camp too now thst you found this campground. Grandfather Mountain was so beautiful!
We have stayed at the pineola in a room and the actual first trip in Author (our camper). Not the cheapest site but very nice place The bar area and the games the entire place has a very different time vibe and feel. If that is your thing. Wish I'd have known we'd have brought our little rig to hang out. 😅
That's an amazing video! RV life is such a wonderful way to enjoy outdoor adventures and quality family time. Speaking of outdoor gear, I highly recommend checking out the Segway Portable PowerStation Cube Series. It's a versatile powerhouse that can provide ample power for all your devices and appliances while on the go. Its massive capacity, fast recharging, and waterproof design make it a must-have for any outdoor enthusiast or RV lover. Happy camping!
We use tsd open roads as well! We love the discounts. In the video you went to a ta, if you use the app you can start the pump with your tsd card. Less prompts, safer and you get rewards!
Not sure if you have already been but, the Biltmore Estate in Asheville is fantastic, and you get a free wine tasting after your tour. My husband and I always enjoy visiting. Christmas time is beautiful because every room is decorated. Have fun you three!
Hey guys, great to see ya'll out again. Beautiful scenery out there. It's always a special day when there are people that are so inconsiderate and never think about anyone other than themselves. It was probably more important to get that shade. Anyway, great to see ya'll out again. Hope ya'll have a great Thanksgiving. God bless ya'll and stay safe on your travels.
Just done the Southern section of the Blue Ridge Parkway and absolutely loved it. Also did the Tail of The Dragon and Foothills Parkway, highly recommend these awesome rides. Great job on the editing Tara.
The name cimes from: The phenomenon is so called because the rocky walls of the gorge form a flume through which the northwest wind sweeps with such force that it returns
We love the Boone/Blowing Rock area, so thanks for showing it in your travels. In fact, we are headed there this weekend to cut down our Christmas tree from one of the many tree farms up there. It’s a 16 year family tradition for us. BR has a great Christmas vibe and tree lighting ceremony.
I am guessing that you noticed how rough the BRP is in that area. And the viaduct being the last thing built on the BRP, the project was running short on funds. Instead of digging up the stumps and roots from the trees that were removed for the road they just cut them at ground level and built the road on top of them. Well, eventually those stumps and roots rotted and cause the pot holes and very unevenness of the BRP through that area. Glad you guys are back on the road and enjoying what God created.
You guys hit the road for the umpteenth time and I hit the road for our full time adventure two days before this video came out. So far go good. The Blue Ridge is a nice ride. My wife and I did it from beginning to end a few years ago. Nice ride. Keep the good stuff coming guys and maybe we'll run into each other at Tampa.
We have family in Blowing Rock and now we can consider that Parkway with our 23LDE. Gloves are a must with diesel but I find Harbor Freight disposables work best as I don’t want dirty gloves near the inside of my truck. When you pull off the vinyl gloves, they turn inside out and are safe to handle and throw away. We have your truck but an F350 SRW. Rapid Red is beautiful!
Road 221 is part of the Riding the Dragon Motorcycle Ride in the NC Mountains No Wonder you thought it would be good for motorcycles. Wow good video. My wife and I spent many summers in that area. charley and Laura from Ocala.
Next time you go to Grandfather Mtn area, do it via I-26 through Weaverville and stay at Mountain River RV. You'll love it. It's in Spruce Pine and 4 lane all the way from TN to there except the last few miles and that's still roomy roads. I'm with you on holding your breath on Hwy 221. Definitely not for big rigs!
The roads do kinda remind me of the Tahoe area but the trees are not the same. When you were at that overlook it did resemble looking out off of one of the overlooks down in the lower Oak forests out here, I was thinking the same as you. Very pretty for sure, but as the locals used to say..."There is only one great lake and that is Lake Tahoe". The traffic in the Tahoe Basin is now dang near unworkable in the summer. We are less about an hour away and don't go at all in summer...especially weekends.
We drove the complete BRP back in July 2019 and the day were were at the Lin Cove Viaduct it was so foggy we couldn't even see it! Maybe we will see it next time...
Been following you guys for the last year. We just started our RV traveling. Retired and purchased a Ford F250 and small 5th wheel. Not bringing the bike with us at this point. Love the BRP and have run it start to finish many times. It’s a great ride. Have you run the Cherohala Parkway? It’s like a ‘mini” BRP. Only 50 miles and runs from Robbinsville NC to Tellico Plains TN. Not too far from your home base. If you haven’t you may want to check it out. It’s also near the Tail of the Dragon, Hwy 129.
Another great video! Can’t wait to get out there with you guys, we are down to under 11 weeks 👏🏼👏🏼 hope we can meet up 😊 we are getting the cruiser lift put on after Thanksgiving
That area of NC has a bunch of stuff. If you guys like waterfalls, you need to check out the Brevard area. Reverse on the motorcycle can be tough at times. 😜
Once hauled horses to a beach where we could ride...circle drive, somebody had parked their Prius half way through the circle, halfway into the roadway. I got past and we unloaded and went riding,. My wife put a cardboard sign on their windshield saying..."You park like old people Fu$k".
Hey Chad, My name is Lamont Lancaster, My Navy name was Burt. I have been watching for a while and just noticed some of your Navy Patches on your biker vest. Were you really a Bulleye Hummer. I served in VAW 124 in 1978 and 79. At that time I was a Second Class Petty Officer. In 1980 the squadron lost my billet and I was trasnsferred to the USS Coronado. Small world.
I was active duty in the U.S. Navy from 1986-1992. I was an AT2 (Aviation Electronics Tech) on in VAW-120, then VAW-124 for most of my time. Back in the good ole days when the "bare ass" patch was legal. Very small world!
As much as you guys travel. Have you ever thought of installing a larger fuel tank in place of your existing. I replaced my 27 gallon factory with a Titan 57 gallon. What a difference, obviously less fuel stops.
See the Starlink pointing straight up on the roof. Lov my starlink.
Glad you are spending more time exploring NC. I believe your dates are incorrect. The parkway was started in 1935 and mostly completed by 1966. The viaduct around grandfather mountain was completed in 1987 not 1938 and that 7.7 mile section completed the blue ridge parkway..
Love how your choices of music all flow together nicely, good job editing Tara!
When they were building the Linn Cove Viaduct people had to drive 221 around that section of the parkway. 221 was nicknamed the "get right with God road." It is a beautiful ride.
Daisy is such a cutie! Y'all do such a great job editing the videos stopping to show us the important signs!.
😊 loved this video and stayed at The Pineola and same site too base upon your experience.
Thats a beautiful road to your camp nice and secluded I would never leave the camp cept for groceries if it was me
14' 3" I was ducking too watching it! I was a little concerned with banjo music playing as you were walking on the path into the wooded portion. 🤣
Tara, you have a magical ability to tie the music to the scenery!
Makes me sad there are 40K views and only 2 K likes. If you like this channel enough to watch it, the least you can do is hit the like button. Come on people, show some love for Chad & Tara !!!!
Started watching you guys, again, your always on your honeymoon 😉, I am so jealous, love the new RVhomee, it's fantastic love you both ❤ thanks 😊

Great editing! Love the music and really appreciate how you pause the video so I can read the signs. All the extras are really appreciated!
Your new hair do is so cute!!
She had them start their bikes and gave them treats to feed her horse...really good training for a young horse...wishing all motorcyclists would do the same.
“Tap Room” spoken like a true sailor!😊
I always LOVE your music selections.
My wife and I camp and love the Linville area. We go to blowing rock for our anniversary and stay. We’re about an hour south from there. Every bit of footage I can finally relate to. Glad you guys enjoyed beautiful NC!
My mom and I got a smart TV that has UA-cam. And you guys are the first video I watched on my account for youtube t v.
I love Grandfather Mountain, my mom has time share at willow Valley and we were there in 2022 Thanksgiving.
We stayed around Banner Elk several years ago. Beautiful country up there!
Our radios have saved us so many times
I always love the music you put to your videos. Happy travels. Oh, motorcycle rides, yay. Wow, what views from the Blowing Rock area.
Very nice
Welcome back Chad n Tara miss you too
That was a very interesting place to visit, thanks for the invite. Always enjoy following your ventures, saving us a lot of $$$ along the way...lol. Glad to see everyone seems to be doing fine. Safe and happy trails.

Thank you for taking us on the ride with you.
Oh great, we are moving close to there. Can’t wait!

Great show tonite and mercy, the truck and trailer are still stunning!!! Safe travels to you.
Nice ride, good tunes too!! I use to own a virago 1000, was lots of fun!!!
Enjoyed your video and music selection. Good job! We trailer our Harley behind our motorhome so we appreciate the motorcycle portions.
I forgot to add……thanks for your content. Some of the how to’s and don’t do’s have been helpful as we start out!
Can't wait for part 2 !! Thanks
Little Daisy is the cutest!!❤🐶
We loved staying at The pineola. Great location 👌🏼😍
Always nice music with your video adventure. Love it ❤

Pegs out on curves, great. No troll. It’s life!
Glad to see you in our home county. Cannot wait to see more. The season has changed since you were here 🤣. 38 degrees and windy in Blowing Rock today. Safe travels.
Thank God! With you guys back on the road, my RVTV programming is now complete. I'm excited to see what this season brings. 🙂 Be safe and be well.
Nice tour and I enjoyed the music.
Part of the Viaduct was built overseas. It was finished 1983.
We were JUST in Banner Elk in June at our Timeshare. We did NOT see this campground. You are correct, Banner Elk is a very NICE area with some $$$ homes. We hope to go back and camp too now thst you found this campground. Grandfather Mountain was so beautiful!
Love my TSD card
Chad may qualify as classic but Not antique. Thank you for another great adventure video.
We have stayed at the pineola in a room and the actual first trip in Author (our camper). Not the cheapest site but very nice place
The bar area and the games the entire place has a very different time vibe and feel. If that is your thing. Wish I'd have known we'd have brought our little rig to hang out. 😅

Thank you for the video.
Love the video. Stopped at that same T/A when we went to Pigeon Forge a few weeks ago.
Linnville falls is pretty awesome. Stopped there as part of father/son motorcycle ride from Front Royal VA to Smoky Mountains on Skyline Dr and BRP
Great bike footage!
Couple to catch up on. Just wanted to wish you and Tara a wonderful and happy thanksgiving !!!!!!!
We use tsd open roads as well! We love the discounts. In the video you went to a ta, if you use the app you can start the pump with your tsd card. Less prompts, safer and you get rewards!
Boone NC is a cute town. Try out Mast General stores around that area. I love them.
So love Lucille ❤️ 😍
We were at the Linn Cove Viaduct about 4 weeks ago. Beautiful area.
I bet the colors were amazing!
Not sure if you have already been but, the Biltmore Estate in Asheville is fantastic, and you get a free wine tasting after your tour. My husband and I always enjoy visiting. Christmas time is beautiful because every room is decorated. Have fun you three!
Yes! We visited there a couple of Christmases ago.. 😀
Nice road trip, you two! Happy travels!
Love Boone NC area!!!!!!

I thought the very same thing re it looking like Tahoe😁
The name cimes from: The phenomenon is so called because the rocky walls of the gorge form a flume through which the northwest wind sweeps with such force that it returns

The viaduct reminds me of the newer section of the Foothills Parkway out of Wears Valley TN.
Happy Thanksgiving
Besides that, there is Kennesaw Mountain Battlefield. 20 miles away. Some of the most fierce battles of the civil war on Sherman's march to Atlanta.
I am guessing that you noticed how rough the BRP is in that area. And the viaduct being the last thing built on the BRP, the project was running short on funds. I can't believe I am saying this. Your music was nice during the ride. YT music usually sucks. I have rode those roads...I miss it.
We would love to be able to move to America and do the same thing you are so lucky especially with an Indian in tow!!
The roads do kinda remind me of the Tahoe area but the trees are not the same. Just started following you. Just an FTI…the bridge heights are given at their lowest height….most likely on the sides.
Pulling into my driveway...12 feet high...I pull past the entrance, back to jacknife...twice, then I can just drive on in.
Been following you guys for the last year. We just started our RV traveling. Retired and purchased a Ford F250 and small 5th wheel. Not bringing the bike with us at this point. Love the BRP and have run it start to finish many times. It’s a great ride.

We watch you all the time, Dailey is amazing! What is she?

How do you find some of your music, it sets the mood.
Please see: changinglanesrv.com/faq/?Display_FAQ=2178
My wife and I were riding...on horseback...up a road, when two young people came roaring onto the trail, on dirtbikes. Scary situation for her horse.
The show Outlander (Scottish) has lots of references to places in NC.
Where do you find your awesome music I just like listening to it
As much as you guys travel. Have you ever thought of installing a larger fuel tank in place of your existing. I replaced my 27 gallon factory with a Titan 57 gallon. What a difference, obviously less fuel stops.
Our F450 has 48 gallon stock tank. 👍🏼
Something else I do, when I need to go slow, or move slowly over bumps, is 4 low.
I want to do the Christmas Train.
Guys when you zero turn your trailer like that especially a tri axle,it is extremely hard on those axles.thast a lot of weight pivoting on one point.
Which is why we very seldomly do it. but, sometimes it's necessary.
