these builds are awesome. they are realistic compared to other channels that show you builds with unlimited funds. great work !
Those seats look good in there. On the doors u may be able to spray some Adhesive on the area u wana cover and cut the material alittle bit bigger then the panel and use a trim removal tool to tuck the material in behind the original material so u don't have to risk breaking the part. We did that on my brother's eclipse years ago
Seats look great. I agree the red inserts in door panels are a bad idea. Either leave it gray or paint it black. You may change out seats later and if they’re not red, you’d have to do insets all over again.

I would grab either the VHT penetrating spray dye, or SEM makes a spray dye that both work fantastic if you prep the surface, make sure it's clean, and do multiple lighter coats. I've dyed a bunch of interiors with both products and you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference between the dyed piece, next to the OEM one. The seats look way better than those ripped up stock ones. They're no recaros, corbeaus or anything but there's nothing wrong with the NRG ones at the actual price point.
I like the white exterior with red seats, it goes great together like a type R. I think silver integra looks the best though.

For the door cards and if you don't want to paint them (I agree with you on it looking tacky) try a product called "Solution Finish Black Plastic & Vinyl Restorer" available at a lot of detailing webstores in the UK at least. Its mega. Mask around the area apply, apply with a sponge or folded microfibre, leave for five minutes and level it off with a second microfibre cloth once it has initially bonded. A little goes a long way. If you want a really really deep black you can add a second coat. I've found one is enough. The stuff is the best I've tried and I've tried a lot. It outlasts anything and actually dyes it again. I use it on everything now (windscreen cowl, grills, wingmirror plastics etc.) as my go to when doing my own and people's cars. It transformed the interior of my EP3 and the plastics which was more grey and heavily UV'd and weathered. A small bottle will do a complete interior. Absolutely recommend. Huge change for a small price, so budget build it will make it look new again. Great to see another video from you and an honest appraisal of the seats. You get what you pay for. Hope you'll give it a try.

RED INSERTS
Maybe in the future you should look for a nice used pair from a top tier brand. Dunno how it will look in 3-4 years against a brand new no name set, but they're probably better quality. Maybe hard to find though. I don't see too many people swapping racing seats these days. You could also try to redo the OEM seats, but I dunno how much work it is filling in the missing voids in the foam. I replaced the seat covers on my OEM seats. Me and friend did it in 2-3 days. But I didn't use that little circle clips to put the material tight against the seat. They've lasted a pretty long time though. The kit was like $400 back in 2002 but it was vinyl.

Before I watch the video, I will note that I remember back in my souping up days that new seats would come with the sliders, but they'd never come with the brackets. And I never really figured out how to get brackets even if I wanted to swap them. That''s why a lot of people would swap with OEMs from another car cuz I guess they could be easily modified sometimes. But I dunno where you'd get brackets from if you went with aftermarkets like Tenzo, Sparco, Bridge, Recaro, etc.

I like the way you think, stock interiors are just fine. But, if you can’t find factory, use what you have. I was going to say try to add some red somewhere in the interior, but maybe wait a while see what turns up.

I don't think you should paint anything inside, especially a glossy color other than black. I think people who do that make it look tacky. I used to paint stuff glossy colors before, but eventually it gets dirty or old looking or it chips and it doesn't look good anymore. And if you don't do it perfectly, and most people won't, the paint won't come on evenly and there will be drips and all that.

Leave the door panels be, the next person may be a purist and like the factory seats and colors. Usually when I am looking for a car, I tend to dismiss cars that are DIY modified/upgraded. Awesome content.

no red inserts!its enogught red for the car with the seats on my opinion, a great detail on the interior maybe some nice floor mats, a short shifter and a new steering wheel would create a perfect experience
I wouldn’t mess with the door panels at all I would leave it all original the more original the better just get a black with red stitch boot black and red nrg quick release things that will go with the color scheme but don’t ruin really good door panels

There's like a 2 year waiting list to get one off these units. There $300 for a 35x15 unit, can't find it cheaper anywhere else. They come with power
