Thank you for focusing on something a bit more obscure and helping to demystify it some. The alt firmwares make me a little nervous but your videos are helping me get over that!
thanks for getting around to this joe!
Hope it was helpful!
Just what I needed. Many thanks.
Great video! Thanks
I am using an ES Disting mk3 in the same way.
Nice video Joe!
Thanks for watching, my friend!
This is such a great video! I'm having a lot of fun with the drum machine. Has anyone been able to run the CV/audio sampler? I can't get it to trigger samples.
Thanks Chris! I haven't tried that one yet, but it's on the list!
Where can I find the Teensy loader app? Just look for it through google?
Martin Hoffert it's linked in the attached blog post...
Is there any way to change the sample set from the inital 808 sounds?
michael perkins not in this particular firmware, as the samples are flashed to the Teensy memory rather than the SD card. I'd suggest trying my other video, on shutting off looping in radio music so you can just load your own raw samples.
That's what I suspected, but just wanted to make sure. I guess my follow up would be, is it possible to just open up the code and add desired samples that way, or is that way more trouble than it's worth? Sorry, total Noob to the world of Arduino.
michael perkins probably not nearly as easily as exporting samples in raw file format and using the original firmware, but definitely possible. just have to use very short samples, probably lower quality audio...
Probably POSSIBLE... Though it might be difficult. It may require creating a text file of the sample data or something convoluted. Maybe contact James Carruthers and ask!
great stuff..guess I'll build a few more Radio Music modules...wayyyyy cheaper than getting even a standalone drum module !
Definitely cheaper, though keep in mind they are digital so latency exists... Just a consideration.
depending on the latency, I'll accept this as a free shuffle feature ;-) Thanks for all of your great videos...really helpful. After almost 20 years of modular experience there is still so much to learn from guys like you !
pxguru2329 so much to learn for all of us!
no luck getting teensyloader to work on windows 10. im already effing over it ... lol jesus
