The game that introduced me to Ace Combat. This was the game that made me who I am today. It took until I flew a jet in GTA to realise that I was a terrible pilot, flying with "inverted" controls. Didn't take me long to fix that problem. Now I am an ace. And I am glad to fly amongst the angels in the skies above with all my fellow ace pilots. FASTER! HIGHER!

I used to run to this 5 days a week at sunrise on the national mall in Washington DC. When you are on the last leg of the run and you get to the reflecting pool in front of Lincoln, this music really sets the tone when you feel like you can't keep going and you can't go on: you can.
This is my fave song in the whole series, and my fave game. Been playing the Ace Combat games since Ace Combat 4 on the PS2. Even while playing Ace Combat 7, I only listen to the music from Ace Combat 6

each ace combat game has it's own style of soundtracks, ace combat 7 does well with what it's trying to do, going back to it's roots. It's soundtracks being more "arcadey" per se.

It would be one thing if it weren't good boss fight music, which it absolutely isn't and Liberation is, but it's low tempo, worthless, and generic as fuck and doesn't fit anywhere. If Namco had been thinking they would have used Malebolge for the mission music, truncated the intro of LoG for the boss intro, then played the desperate portion on loop throughout the dogfight, then gone into the epic orchestral bit once you struck the final blow. This was MADE to be boss music and they utterly WASTED it as a normal mission BGM. If you disagree you are utterly and irretrievably tasteless.
