I imagine that North Korea is a "hell on earth" and I would beg anyone who is on any trip to any country where a side trip to North Korea is offered PLEASE DO NOT GO! DO NOT LET YOUR CURIOSITY OVERCOME YOUR COMMON SENSE! You have a chance of never being seen again or at the very least never returning home in good health. It's just not worth it unless you happen to be a military person invading to try to bring freedom from that evil empire😟

@@EvidentlyFire Bullshit.....I spent three weeks visiting China 14 years ago, have now visited 19 countries, but never went anywhere near N Korea. Absolutely NO point in rolling the dice and there is absolutely NOthing in either Korea I EVER want to see.
Here's a reminder that Otto was supposedly attested for "Harming the work ethic of the North Korean people" or, in other words, tearing down a poster. In his public spoken confession, reading off a paper that "he wrote", he said, "I put on my quietest boots. The best for sneaking" in a true and legitimate American speech pattern.
The poor boy was also documented being dragged around like a ragdoll, barely conscious. The excuse given was that he "was sick", and despite medical intervention, he died.
I guess sometimes the North Korean government forgets that the other people of the world haven't been conditioned from birth via brainwashing, censorship, isolation, and fear of death to believe anything they say.
Let's say he was actually a spy though. They sent him back so he couldn't de brief.
@EvidentlyFire They murdered this man. Not only that, they tortured him to death. The main argument wasn't that he was a spy. It was that he was "Harming the work ethic of North Koreans by removing the poster." You can't make up those levels of BS, but they did make up his "confession." If you listen to him testifying about what he did through reading the paper he supposedly wrote himself, he sounds nothing like an American in the manner of speaking.
He committed a crime in a country that didn't care about is American privilege, he should have made better choices.And for the record, Americans are just as brainwashed and dumbed down as anywhere else.

This is sad! Starvation is the number form of torture. My friend is a North Korean defector and told me many stories. He is from the elite too and even he could not stand it. I don’t even want to imagine life for a regular citizen.

If you see the "video" evidence you can clearly see it wasn't Otto taking the poster down. Otto was much taller than the person who took down the poster.

Your accuracy is usually less than perfect but your first story is laughably wrong. For such a well publicized story, you think you could get the simple detail correct of why Otto was arrested.
