NFS Unbound is so fun tho. I don’t want just the same game with a new name slapped on it. I’m glad to see that the NFS franchise stretched their creative arms and actually tries different stuff. Unlike a lot of the franchises like Forza, COD and all the sports games. Keep the creativity goin NFS!

@SohaM-7 Yeah it seems to be a good game, like Heat was, but it's just not breathtaking. I personally am a big fan of nfs, but I don't want to spend 500€ on a series X just to be able to play a NFS Heat part 2 (even if it's a better game). Maybe in 2 years, if the gap between the two games becomes real!

I couldn't even finish heat. Once it got to those off road missions I just clocked out
I beat the game with only doing the tutorial off road race, they're not utilized like at all if that's what you were worried about.
lol off road missions has only one compulsory tutorial race which is pretty ez and fast to finish. Then, it's ur wish to play or skip offroad races.
@@lohitsai12 I might be thinking of the wrong nfs. I just remember I got super super bored with heat. Offroad races for some reason is sticking out to me... Whatever the reason, heat is the only nfs I didn't finish.

I was just going through Heat's story again, and have to admit, it was really good. Even though really short. The tension between the cops and the racers was real. But, Unbound has it's own pull. I had a ton of fun in Unbound and still do. If it had a single player story or campaign like Heat, it would have worked better. And some better music as well

@sulac4ever170 it's still great offline. I'm not an online player. It has very high replayability. You don't need online play if you have replayability offline alone. Would Unbound be alive without online compared to Heat? No. Why? Lacks offline replayability
@@sambeezy007 What?! Unbound's just as replayable as Heat. Heat is most playable due to its stronger emphasis on grinding, while Unbound is all around more polished and more fun gameplay wise (especially the cops are more of a challenge, which makes it fun to drop in from time to time for a little chase).
I worte "until the servers get shut down", because most people like Heat for its online mode, while Unbound lacks in this regard, but has a better offline experience. This is the consensus from both actual players as well as review media.
@@sulac4ever170 Ehh. It's subjective. Heat has more races to choose from and don't require a class. Both are fun though. If Heat was polished and optimized for the PS5 and Series X, that would be incredible. Right now I have more fun playing The Crew 2
@@sambeezy007 Yes, you are right on that in terms of, that there can be personal preferences which deviate from the general consensus. But in the statistical sense it's like I wrote.
I am sure that The Crew 2 is great (heard a lot of good things about it), but I refuse to buy hames which are online only, because both The Crew games will be completely dead once their servers are dead. And regarding this poison in the industry I chose to vote with my wallet and enjoy Forza Horizon (1-4 and 5 sometime in the future) instead.

Honestly I prefer Unbound just because they made grip handling actually usable. Heat like many previous NFS games you were forced to use brake to drift which I absolutely hate. I know this is a drift channel but for NFS games I prefer grip handling. My favourite NFS games are Underground 1 and 2 and Most Wanted (2005). All of them mainly had grip handling with a separate drift handling for drift events in UG 1 and 2 (Most Wanted doesn't have drift events).

drifting in nfs was meant to be only for the skilled players, can get you through corners faster, but only if you can play it right, if not, just go grip kind of thing

Completely correct. Deleted unbound after they nerfed cars that were already slower than they were in heat and terrible that the story isn’t connected to online more. It’s fun because it’s nfs but it’s a mockery of the series

Day races were super boring. 90% of them were 3 lap circuit races, bad music, clipping was awful and no traffic=no challenge at all. Day racing in Heat is one of the worst Nfs experience's you can have. And guess what you can only make money doing day races so you cant just do night races all the time.
@@TheAilmam unbound is way better than heat, NOS is way better, progression is way better, the story is less unrealistic and confusing, and if you are a good driver the physics are better

@@smolltaco5667 there are good reasons for the criticisms. For the first time in NFS history it's not just blind hating. But I still can understand why people like this game. I bet, between all the negative things about it, there's a good game hiding deep inside of it. But it broke a big taboo and that's a no go. It has a real bad soundtrack. Otherwise than Heat.
The effects are terrible but the AI, physics, progression, and car list are all better than heat.

This can not be the best physics. But the game is super fun to play. I enjoy it a lot, it is a nostalgic game, and it keeps the original PS1 style on it... Love it

I like Unbound. Unpopular opinion but I think it works as a spiritual successor to Carbon and Underground. Yeah it may not have extreme customization,a ton of cars, or the greatest soundtrack of all time, but regardless it feels like a true need for speed experience. The cop chases feel intense as you go up in heat level, the effects look amazing when you pull clean stunts, everything just feels right. I think people are too critical of it to sit down and actually enjoy the good in it.

They didnt get enough players so they took it off, they spent 5 years doing everything, dialogues also personality of every npc, and 5 years later they closed it because there wasnt enough "community support" its sad because more than 100 people worked on it

I loved all the nfs games especially rivals cuz it built a lot of friendships in my childhood (I didn't and still don't have a console just an old laptop) so I always went to friends houses to play rivals and payback in particular.

Unbound is better in everything except online, which was suprise to me since almost anything is just copy paste Heat with improvements, yet Online is huuuuge step backwards, if they would just do exactly same Online as in Heat it would be just better.

at 6:12 that's MXBikes, has Supermoto, Supercross, Motocross, it's literally the best game but it takes 75-100 hours of playtime to get a good grip on it.

I simply get amazed that NFS has daylight races, I have been playing the game for 2 years and I literally forgot there is daylight mode for races. Besides, all the adrenaline is at night mode, espcially when you are high as fuck.
