It's difficult sometimes - the easiest way I have found is to set the x and y positions.

I have added Data cards but when I go into preview mode they do not show up.

It might be the Items property - try something like Defaults(TableName)

There's something that has always given me a headache and is replacing a datacardValue control.
and this is when I want to change a Normal textbox for a rich Texbox
Instead of that I have to add a new control, and link that control to the original data card so when Information changes on the new control it will be reflected on the hidden datacard
