I finished a toddler sweater, some soakers, and a sweater for me last year but still have 2 sweaters/top left from last year. One is nearly done, but cotton. This year, I finished 1.5 socks and cast on produce bag, hat, another sweater! I finished the gnome-along.
Happy holidays and congratulations to you and your family! Thanks for sharing this lovely video. I agree that those swatches and the shawl should count as 2 sweaters.😀I'm a fan of PetiteKnit patterns and your Stockholm sweater is beautiful - looks so luxe and the color is gorgeous. The Stockholm sweater v-neck is my next cast-on and I'm glad I saw this video. When knitting in the round, I normally do a faux seam by purling a stitch at both sides of the garment to give it structure as I'm nervous about seaming. But this is worth a shot. What method do you use when seaming?
Your Terrazzo is beautiful and what a stunning transformation with the kid silk haze. Since you've tried 2 different construction methods from PetiteKnit, I'll suggest the Eva cardigan, Poppy Tee, or Lyon sweater - all three are similar construction, but Eva is a cardigan and the other 2 are sweaters of different gauges.
Congrats to you and your daughter! Will you be doing any baby project videos in the new year? And it's great that you finished five whole sweaters this year. I started a cardigan earlier this year and am still trying to finish it, so don't feel bad.
Thank you for pointing out some of the construction effects on the garments like the biasing of the half twisted rib !
You’re welcome! Sometimes I feel like I’m overly opinionated, but I’m honest for sure 😂
Of course it all counts!!! 🎉. Queen of swatching! 🧶
Thanks Ellen for sharing your knits, what you liked and didn’t like. Congratulations on the upcoming grandbaby.
Thank you! It’s an exciting time
