This is why I loved Camp Rock. Usually the main characters always win or gain something in the end. But this time the opposing side won. It’s always expected for the main characters to win and the fact that they didn’t win made this movie so different than the other Disney originals.
Technically they did gain something in the end. They lost the competition to camp star, but more kids especially former campers from camp star decided to register to camp rock the following year
Andrew Almada camp star technically we're the villains. They set up a similar camp near camp rock to run them out of business, they made it into a high budget competition knowing camp rock didn't have the same resources
@@whiskeymarie9560 Andrew is digging too far into a 2 dimensional Disney channel movie. To please their heart we swapthe word “hero” for “protagonist”.
I love how Dana hugs Nate to comfort him, but he hugs her to congratulate her. That’s extremely cute. I also love how Jason was a good sport, and clapped for Camp Star.
I remember watching this and being shocked that camp rock didn’t win. This was the first time in my life that I learned that the good guys don’t always win
Watching the smiles of everyone slowly die was so brutal. It is really sad to see how camp star just cheated their way to Victory. I was like mitchie: so sure to win with Hope and motivation and than suddenly our smiles slowly disappeared and then.....all what was left was Sadness and tears
Did they, really? This was just done to open the door for Camp Rock 3, which didn’t even happen because Demi went to rehab and the Jonas Brothers broke up for a five-year stretch.
One really good thing abut this movie(which this movie really does not have much) is how they reveal the winner in the end. Just nothing but music and then sad music along with the reactions to campers to signify who won and lost. No words needed...just picture.
We never hear who won because they wanted it to be a surprise. The aufience has to figure out who won just based on the emotions the characters show. She basically announces who wins without the audience hearing it. She announces it and we only see the reaction instead of listening.
She betrayed but she felt sorry for them. Its normal. Sometimes bad people have good intentions and behaviours...sometimes. Ultimately at the end of the movie she came back to them and told them she would like to come back to Camp Rock the following year
It's never too late to change for a better. It's better she came to support Demi's character after a failure than she would be a cold bitch and stay away, even after all she did.
Wow, this is a pretty cool movie direction for Disney, the subtleness of their reactions at first and buildup of everyone celebrating got me tearing up
Them losing teaches kids how to act when you lose and how you act when you win. That acting respectful and classy when you lose towards the team who wins builds character
That’s what Nate and Jason did. Nate hugged Dana to congratulate her, even though she was hugging him to comfort him, and Jason smiled and clapped for Camp Star. They were both good sports about the whole thing.
Me too. My older niece would watch this movie MULTIPLE TIMES and I would tell her to "turn it off." She would get mad and say "WHY?!" And I would tell her "Because they would freaking LOST AT THE END OF THE MOVIE THAT'S WHY!!!"😠🤬🤣

Let's be honest, even if Axel had tampered with the voting, y'all have to admit that 'Tear It Down' was *WAYY* better than 'This Is What We Came Here For'. Camp Rock's song genuinely sounds like some cheesy Disney song, Tear It Down sounds like a song you would hear from Chris Brown or Usher with like the featuring vocals of a powerful female vocalist. Just saying the truth cuz I know some of y'all are in denial by saying that Camp Rock's song was better but there are genuine people who even agree that Camp Star deserved to win with Tear It Down. Sorry if I offended anyone ❤️

Even though they lost they’d get a bunch of free publicity. Mitchie’s mother at the end even mentions they’re getting a bunch of phone calls so why does this matter in the slightest?
They mention this earlier in the movie. Brown thinks the televised competition would show how much more money and "prestige" Camp Star has and take away all prospective future students. Camp Rock really should've won the Camp Wars instead of Camp Star. I watched Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam and after that, I read on Wikipedia that Axel who is the founder of Camp Star sends text messages to every mobile phone in the western hemisphere persuading people to vote more for Camp Star instead of Camp Rock and that is the reason why Camp Star won the Camp Wars by a land-slide. To make it short, Camp Star cheated. Some voters were probably thinking "No way am I voting for Camp Rock because that song "What We Came Here For" is so sappy. Camp Star's "Tear It Down" song is real music!". I wish the producers who made the Camp Rock 2 movie had Camp Rock win the Camp Wars. I wonder why they didn't want to have Camp Rock win the Camp Wars instead of Camp Star. i would've loved to see the shocked expression on Axel's face if Camp Rock won the Camp Wars instead of Camp Star and still make it a happy ending before the movie was over. What were they thinking not having Camp Rock win the Camp Wars? that is just not right at all. If I producers, I would have had Camp Rock win the Camp Wars instead of Camp Star!
