- Alberta RCMP now have evidence to link the murder of 4 young women in Calgary to serial sex offender Gary Allen Srery. As Carly Robinson reports, investigators are now looking to piece together Srery’s timeline in Canada, to see if there are more vic

Why did it take such a long time to mach the DNAs?

@@aavvccThat's not an excuse to take 50 years
In the 1970's they used blood typing to eliminate some suspects, (it wasn't precise enough to be any more than another piece of evidence used towards a conviction) fingerprints had to be manually checked against reference cards, there was poor inter-jurisdictional communication. A lot of these problems didn't begin to get resolved until the 90's. Theñ there is backlog, retirement of investigators That they're solving murders that far back at all is impressive.
Congratulations, 50 plus years later. How many people and families were affected for life. This innocent victim's paid the price, some dead already . I don't understand, how a case so serious took this long. To conclude , those closed ones , suffer for years. Lived in fear for life. .. in the country called north america. CANADA.
That cop who said" He is no longer around to offend victims" should go get his head examined. Maybe the Con should have offended his mother..
I knew of Patsy Mcqueen. We went to the same junior high school Ian Bazelgette. I lived about a block away from her on 26th ave s.e
.It was so sad the day they said that they had been found near the overpass. I never forgot this young girl. I always recognized news articles about her and the tragedy in the paper occasionally through the years. Glad they solved the case. Rest in peace sweet Patsy.❤
I thought of Clifford Olson when they first mentioned the era, anyone remember him?
I remember that pos! And Robert William Shearing.
Paul Bernardo and Karla Homolka come to mind. Sickest thing is she’s out and living life like nothing happened. She is just as bad as him.
I personally know the family of Barbara MacLean. They told me stories of what a wonderful and kind woman she was. I hope Barbara and the other three victims can finally rest in peace.
Rip to these innocent women and girls 🙏🌹🍁🍂🍃
I will believe it when I see the evidence ! How convenient for the RCMP to close the books on the four deceased ! Hmmmm !

We care because they are female.
We shouldn’t care if they were male?
A female is also one that gave birth to you, if at all.
I wonder though, perhaps he made some kind of offenses against males too
