I've read the script for this movie. Before Mouth makes things worse with what he says, there was something funny that was supposed to happen with Chunk and Mama Fratelli...
Mama: We got a specialized menu here. We serve one thing. "Fresh Fish Surprise".
Chunk: What kind of fish?
(Mama slams her hand on the table)
Mama: I said it's a surprise!
Chunk: Okay, okay! I'll take it!
@ryanstauffer119 Was that a deleted scene? If it was, I was surprised it wasn't on my DVD as "Deleted Scenes." There were only four deleted scenes on my DVD. The first was where the Goonie kids stopped into a mini market at the start of their quest, the second was where the kids were standing outside the Fratelli's hideout where Data's Pinchers Of Power accidentally shot out and grabbed Mouth, the third was an octopus scene before the kids jumped onto the pirate ship in the river, and the fourth was where Sloth and Chunk were walking together and Chunk shouted out, "hey guys."
The chef smooch makes the scene.

It's ironic Chunk mentions dead things right when the dead body passes in the background. And then he later encounters it himself.
That's the dead body in the freezer we see when Chunk finds all the ice cream.
@@GSPfan10 That's right especially since before the Goonie kids entered the restaurant hideout, a group of five people entered and probably one of them got shot and killed and was put in the ice cream freezer while the other four must have run away.

Being a proud Italian man, my favorite part is hearing Mama & Jake speaking Italian having a dialogue. Epically when Mama calls Jake "Zitto, Zitto Stupido", LOL!

Corey F. was a phenomenal child actor, way ahead of his time. Arguably the best child actor of his generation

@Joe Corey Feldman has range. His characters have different motives, different quirks. He voiced a puppy in a Disney movie, then brutally killed Jason Voorhees with a machete in Friday the 13th part 4 afterwards. Corey haim plays the same character in every movie I've seen him in.

But let me ask you this, did Haim play a major character in the best coming of age film that is also a movie adaptation of a Stephen King book that Stephen himself actually likes? You might not think Corey Feldman was the better actor but boy did the industry. Not to mention Corey f introducing Tommy Jarvis to the Friday the 13th franchise and killing Jason at 12 years old.

@rippingtons60 That's correct especially at the end of the movie the mom Fratelli said to Mouth, "you're so quiet all of a sudden, aren't you the one called Mouth" when of course, his name is actually Clark. It's the same for Chunk since he's only called Chunk since he's fat and chunky when his name is actually Lawrence.
Some of the music to these films from that age was way better than todays movies, they just dont make em' like that anymore. Epic movie and soundtrack.

It took me a while after watching the movie the first five times is that Data covers his mouth the second after Mikey and Chunk do after Mouth is threatened with the switchblade.
That's why he didn't get Best Actor for this movie. He had to work on his timing over the years.
@caseysaisi3417 I agree, it was funny how Data was last to cover his mouth when Mikey and Chunk do it the same time. Of course, if Data was going to be last to do it, he should have shot out his Pinchers Of Power gadget to save Mouth even though Mama Fratelli wasn't going to do anything to Mouth's tongue but only did it as a joke because if she was going to do something, she would have done it right away. Of course, it was funny how Data shot his Pinchers Of Power gadget to Francis at the end of the movie.
