You cant get this Level of Action in Lategame || M4A2 in War Thunder

The M4A2 Sherman is the third variant of the early-generation Medium Tank M4 (Sherman) family. In April 1942, the M4A2 was designed with a new General Motors 6046 engine (two GM 6-71 General Motors Diesel engines combined together), welded hull with increased appliqué armour on the hull sides, and gunner position (left side of the turret). Approximately 8,053 units were manufactured till May 1944. Early M4A2s had small hatches and protruding drivers' and co-drivers hoods (similar to the previous M4 variant), a 57° sloped hull's upper front armour plate, and dry ammo stowage bins. The Fisher Body Tank Plant later improved the M4A2 design, adding a one-piece hull's upper front armour plate with a 47° slope, but retained dry ammo bins and appliqué armour. Late-production M4A2s were equipped with an upgraded General Motors 6046 diesel engine with 410 horsepower and were primarily used by the British Army and US Marine Corps. The M4A2 variant saw very limited combat in the US Army, with the majority transferring to the British Army, with some transferring to the Soviet Army and the US Marine Corps. Since the USSR only used diesel-powered tanks, this was the primary chosen variant for the Soviet lend-lease programme. From April 1942 to July 1945, 10,968 units of all turret types were built in six facilities.

As an american main. This tank is a BEAST on full downtier. This tank is one of 3 other tanks that helped me pass through from Rank 3 (rank 3 is hell for me😢) to Rank 4 in America tech tree.

NA man M4A1 76 at 5.0 can still cook at 5.3/5.7 (but there are other options) is all u need man. Once u learn how to use this tank, rank 3 is a breeze
Honourable mentions:
T1E1 - Heavy tank with the same gun at m4 76 and secondary gun (drive backward for increased survivability cuz same reverse gear speed)
M36(5.3) - Basically a less agile hellcat with a disgusting gun of the M10; however, increased turret rotation makes it an excellent brawler, it can put tigers/panthers to sleep even at a more extreme angles
still working my way to rank 4 so cant say which is better

Now I get the tracks are around half the armor of the 38 mm add on armor a jumbo has, but does it really counteract a panzer 4's long 75 that effectively?

long 75 and american 76 still go through it like butter and even low penetration cannons like the russian 76 can go through your turret cheeks, so in reality its just a slower sherman at a higher br. Its still good and can have great games but id avoid it.

I would disagree fully with that. This tank is amazing and it is 100% worth the BR. When angled properly you can bounce all sorts of shells including the long 75mm on the Panzer IVs. Many T-34s can’t even scratch you unless they hit the weakspot next to your gun mantlet on the right hand side of your turret.

@@Googles23mIt was worth maybe when it was Rank 3. 3.7 Sherman is now better choice especialy when chaffee is 3.7 as well.

You can angle with this tank which makes it trolly and can bounce German 75s on occasion, it's also faster than the m4 and m4a1 at least on paper
