Andy and Oakster, A nice session on Darwin Harbour. Jeez the queenies were thick to start. Andy the mackerel and tuna king. Oaks Star cashed in as well on a mackerel. What about the beauty the tax man got. Its always fun catching mackeral, particularly sight fishing. We use to catch schoolies and spotties on floating pillies on gang hooks and that first run is always the best part. Then I caught a 27kg spaniard on 20lb mono and i used a short wire trace. He just missed the mono with his teeth. An element of luck in that one. You know you had a good time when the boat ends up like a butchers shop a blood bath. As an old fishing mate used to say Lifes short fish hard. Plenty of fast flowing rod action boys. Chris.

Yeah all good mate, the main knuckle was completely crushed so it’s fused so to speak haha and crooked lol but doesn’t seem to be any pain anymore so I’ve got to look at going back to work this week😳 (maybe) haha. Hey Hoyt, those are queenfish, they are great for making numus, which is a kind of pickled fish. Basically you put the thin slices of queenfish meat into the vinegar solution and it slowly cooks it
So jealous. Been waiting all dry season for the mackerel to hit the harbour. Im now going away for work and won't have a chance to get onto them before the wet kicks in.

Hey there Outdoor Aussie, great to see you and welcome aboard. Mate the boat in the mackerel video is my mates a 4.8 Formosa with a 130 yammie on the back but mine is a 4.35 quintrex with a 60 yammie on the aft. Mate mine is smaller but I go everywhere with it except the open ocean. Most of my fishing is barramundi fishing so I find my smaller is is gold for the rivers and billabongs. One thing I recommend is a fairly large fuel tank.. On my mates boat a 80lb Minn Kota and a on mine a 55lb.. cheers buddy and tight lines and thank you..🐟👌
