Wanted to know the specs (or URL/brand) of the shoes (hiking and running) you were using during the trek? Also, did you feel any issues trekking with just 1 trekking pole, would you suggest using two or one is just fine?
@@ankit.banjaraa hey Ankit. I didn’t like my trekking shoes. They weren’t comfortable. But i They were from Decathlon. Buy now and break in those shoes. Wear them as much as u can before the BMC to avoid shoe bite. I did not felt that I needed two trekking poles at any given point. But to each their own. Few of my fellow friends were carrying two and they were doing fine too.

HMI don’t provide trekking poles, although you can buy them at store in the campus. For periods, i recommend period cups as they are more eco friendly. But, i have stayed in those cold winters and the bathroom does not have water facilities, so sanitary pads are better, you will have dustbin to throw them.

Hey Kashmiri! yes mine was all women group but we ended up with boys group at the basecamp. Our courses were merged due to covid rescheduling. Honestly, You can go in any, doesn't make any difference, mountains treats everyone same,( no gender in mountains). I would suggest take the first course which has seats available, and Go for it! Best of luck :)
Nothing. Its normal. All of my batchmates got their periods during this one month. Me as well. It’s normal, if you have horrible cramps, carry the necessary meds with you. But you never stop moving during this one month!:)
Sure! -ENT -ECG -Blood tests (mentioned in the medical form) -Sugar test -Eyes test And then take the reports, go to your general MBBS Dr, get it duly filled, signed and stamped. Hope this helps
Congratulations on finishing your BMC. I too applied for the same for the Nov-Dec 2024 batch, and its been about 15 days that they have received my application (on 27Dec23). I had a question, how long do they take to reply and accept your Application formally?
Its a simple process, a form needs to be filled, along with Medical test (a separate form available on the HMI website) and a copy of your ID proof and your Educational qualification proof.
It's been more than a month and I haven't received the confirmation. What should I do now? I've mailed them about this and they said After doing all the process they will send the confirmation but it's been a month to this

Hey, usually for risk certificate you need a signature from a parent or guardian. But it is best to ask the institute as it varies between institutions and overtime. Enjoy the struggles of BmC while they last you will miss them later!:)
I received the confirmation letter just today and it was mentioned to bring 5 copies of 2nd Dose vaccination. Is this mandatory, or is there any alternative to this?
@@cannothelpitoutI confirmed over the phone. They were trying to say that everyone has taken Covid vaccine, but i insisted that it wasn't compulsory. So, finally they agreed that you can bring a fit and fine certificate before coming. Which batch you are going for?
