Its videos like this that fuel the stereotype fire. People who wont know any better will actually believe that ISTJ are boring and near sighted, and INTJ are big brain distant future meta thinkers.... ...then people complain theres an intuitive bias on the internet based on absolutely nothing. Way to go....
Agree, now we have mistyped intuitives and their anti-sensor mindset. Honestly, i used to be like that when i was new to mbti, but got rid of it the more i got in depth
Exactly. I think ISTJs are amazing. They can fix anything in the house, their house is always clean and they can cook. Additionally, they have sexy bodies bc they work out. The things that I don’t like about them is that they are rigid and boring. But like I said INTJs are boring too
Have I misunderstood something about ISTJ and INTJ personality types? My assumptions about the differences between ISTJ and INTJ are as follows: Please correct me if I'm wrong about ISTJ and INTJ types. 1. When an ISTJ seeks the truth, they identify the important details about the subject and then expand their knowledge on the topic through these details. In contrast, an INTJ aims to form an overall picture of the subject and gradually refines that picture by uncovering details about it. 2. ISTJ tends to adhere more to real-world rules, which often enables them to succeed in life. INTJ, on the other hand, may not be as concerned with the laws of the real world and might act in a way that doesn't necessarily lead them to a position matching their skills in the workplace. On the other hand, INTJs may become interested in more abstract and strategic ideas and seek innovative solutions, which can lead to success in various fields. 3. ISTJ has a strong sense of morality and places high demands on themselves. They wouldn't sell anyone's soul for a coin. INTJ's morality, as far as I know, is not as closely tied to the real world; instead, they create their own values because they can be more open to new perspectives and ideas. What ISTJ and INTJ have in common: 1. Both ISTJ and INTJ may come across as blunt because they value truth more than other people's feelings. Consequently, they prefer to tell the truth rather than appease individuals they believe to be wrong. 2. They don't understand why some people flatter authority figures.
Let me elaborate or tweak some of your points. Differences: 1. ISTJ takes things slow, they want to see each of the details elaborated one by one for them to get the idea. INTJ also looks at small details and then forms conclusions aka "Big picture" based on said small details thus INTJ concludes fast, this big picture may change as more details are explored that are not aligned with the first hypothesis. 2. ISTJ takes the safety path, their success is more on the discipline rather than following the rules. INTJ also follows rules as long as it doesn't affect whatever project they have focused on or in layman's term INTJ follow rules that are convenient for them. 3. Both has a strong sense of morality as it is more of an Fi thing rather than a Si vs Ni thing. ISTJ is more loyal to his routine while INTJ is more loyal to his ambitions. Common: 1-2# ISTJ also flatter authority figures in other ways. Recognizing titles and achievements is more of an SI thing to the point that they will even follow you blindly just because of said credentials (e.g. You are the president of a country and you stated something wrong/idiotic, an ISTJ who respects you will defend you still at all cost). INTJ similar to INFJ with demon/8th Si will most likely question every authority figures and assign their value based on their performance and not just on titles and accolades.z Hope this gives you more clarification.
Thank you for good answer. This why I said that ISTJs don't appreciate authorities. I might be wrong, so please correct any mistakes I've made. ISTJs evaluate authorities based on their competence and leadership skills. They value competence, efficiency, and practicality in authorities. If an authority figure demonstrates competence, fairness, and the ability to make decisions, ISTJs can appreciate and respect them. However, if the authority proves to be incompetent, unfair, or incapable of handling their responsibilities, ISTJs can be disappointed and lose their respect for them. On the other hand i was wrong to simplistic that ISTJs don't respect authority. They recognize the need for leaders in the workplace and often support and assist the leader in their tasks. They express their opinions if the leader makes incorrect decisions in their opinion and are willing to discuss the matter very directly with the leader. However, even if the leader acted in what they consider the wrong way, ISTJs ultimately support the leader's decision and work to the best of their abilities following the leader's instructions. Another reason why I stated categorically that representatives of the ISTJ type do not appreciate authorities is that they do not value society's superficial values. Consequently, individuals who emphasize their own success with these shallow values often become the target of their disdain. ISTJ types also do not appreciate people who have attained high positions but are, in their eyes, talentless. On the other hand, they can appreciate successful individuals if they see talent in them. @@wertfasd

Great video, as an ENFP, INTJ is my best compatibility (sometimes INFJ too when they aren't too emo), and ISTJ is my opposite. I have both in my life, INTJ best friend and ISTJ coworker. INTJ is meaner, sees food as fuel, and we love talking about ideas; Yes, but he doesn't follow through on many tasks. We agreed to read The Making of the Atomic Bomb, and guess who has read more? Yeah, Me, the ENFP, the one who is supposed to be "flaky" (a stereotype I hate). My ISTJ coworker fishes as a hobby and he even built his own boat by himself, he worked on it 20hr/week, a part-time job apart from our engineering work. He was dedicated, and I loved to ask him about it. His hobbies aren't "boring" to me, they're interesting, it's the daily what-to-expect that gets predictable. Another personal experience in compatibility that I see is INTJ will tell me flat out how to do something whereas ISTJ will be more passive, and almost wait until I do something to correct me afterward, which is kind of frustrating. I feel like I don't know what I'm doing if ISTJ is showing me something on the computer but he won't be forthcoming with information, do this, then this, go here, etc. it's more me having to ask "So I go here?"
