I just had to drop it here because of how ironic this statement will prove later on. 16:50 - Nikki: "Is she [Claudia] the 'white devil?'" Yep! And you'll find out why in the episode of the same title. 23:30 - Rana: "She [Silja] looks Martha to me. And Hannah." There's a very good reason for that. Silja is Hannah's daughter, as we find out in Season 3, which makes her tangentially related to Martha as well due to the Mikkel/Michael crossover between families. 25:10 - Rana: "She [Silja] looks SOOOO much like Hannah." Biiiiiiiiingo! 35:15 - Suraj: "Maybe her [Charlotte's] parents aren't even in this timeline." Both yes and no. It'll make sense by the end of the season, and I'm going to avoid typing it here just in the rare case that one of them sneaks a peek here because it would be an absolute tragedy to spoil such an epic reveal in this way. 43:05 - Rana: "Is Charlotte related to Noah somehow?" No comment! 44:15 - Suraj: "I was thinking there were two sides to this 'thing,' but now I think there's three." He's referring, of course, to the idea of a group working toward "light" and a group working toward "darkness." In a way, he's correct. I would call Jonas and Martha the third part of this equation because they will end up trying to undo both halves of the equation from both the outside and the inside. This statement will also become VERY important in the series finale, naturally. 46:30 - Nikki: "I think he [Clausen] knows something and he's trying to get it out of people." This is correct. Clausen isn't so much a detective as he is an interrogator. He's trying to get an admission from Aleksander Tiedemann because he already knows that the man is lying about his name. It's no coincidence to him that the man shares his dead brother's name, even before he finds out Aleksander's name prior to marriage.
Semi-spoilery side comment, so hiding it deep below too... !!!! NOT REALLY SPOILERS, BUT IT DEBUNKS A CURRENT THEORY THEY HAVE !!!!! Something fascinating that I didn't really put together until this watch: In this episode, we get the name "Adam" again, the term "Paradise," the phrase "white devil," and a scene with "Noah" eating an apple, which is a symbol from most garden of Eden paintings where the serpent lures Eve to partake of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. This show is just so good on rewatch. I can see why the reactors might make a connection between Noah and the white devil given his penchant for eating apples and for misleading people. He's also giving Bartosz and Helge knowledge of the light and darkness (good and evil / evil and good). Of course, it's actually Claudia due to her white hair, but Noah is such a great -actual- devil figure in this second season.
Even if I remembered much of my spouses look as a child I wouldn't assume someone's kid was my spouse. Realistically at 38 I don't really remember people accurately unless I look at a yearbook and be like damn we looked little.
the confusion at old ulrich was literally me, could not tell if it was a different actor or the same with make up, also those notes are really paying off lol
About the Hannah and Mikkel thing, I've once had a girl introduce herself to me four times over the course of a few months, as if we've never met before. Trust me, people are not that good at remembering faces. 😂 (And also, even if you happen to realize two people look alike, would you be more likely to suspect they time travelled or just that they happen look alike?)
if Hannah saw mikkel as a kid with the nielsens, she might think her husband was cheating on her with katarina because he looked like his husband as a kid. if she remembered that face
@@bananabread4127 she is saying that because someone would not normally consider time travel possible, if Hannah ever looked at Mikkel and thought "he looks like my husband when he was younger" then she might think that Micheal and Katrina had an affair.
dustin you'd have soo much fun editing these reactions if u seen the show and know the answers to all the questions they asking and all the crazy and weird theories that are wrong at times but also once in a while 100% correct that they say as an afterthought lol
I remember exactly what they looked like and that was in the late 80s to late 90s. Quite a few of them didn't make it this far. I'll always remember them as kids and I think that's a beautiful thing.
Yes it is same with me, my best friend moved in 1990 we both was 10 at that time and unfortunately I don't know where he lives today and I don't have any pictures from him. I remember a little bit how he looked back than(at least I think I know) but if I would see him today as a kid I really don't know if I would recognize him.
While that holds up only problem is if something goes down because of that secret he is going to be expected to take on the consequences of it with her or for her or because of her.

32:30 Nikki is right but I'd go about it from a different angle: it's a fucking small town, so it's damn near impossible to just lose track of people, even if you don't even say hello to them. It's even reasonable that you could forget where you know a face from but Michael would have had to purge all his childhood pictures for that connection to never come up.
Dude I'm almost 30 and I barely remember the faces of the other kids from my childhood. Your brain purposefully forgets a lot in order to keep functioning for a long time.
This was a really great episode! Glad you guy's enjoyed it. Great discussion and theories. Nikki remembering some of her previous notes though and having that discussion was amazing! Taking great notes especially when you are watching multiple show's is so important with this show. This was a prime example of why.
There is a scene in which Hanna sees Mikkel and is for a sec shock by what she is seeing... and that answers your question as how she actually recognized Mikkel as her husband when she was young.

I would recommend dark official website for information. You can pick what season and episode you’re on and then see the family three and get spoiler free information
We know exactly what Noah was telling Helge to get him to help him - we saw it in the last two episodes of season 1. He told him it was God's plan, then he said there was no plan, but it was necessary to do it because they were trying to achieve Paradise. And that Helge was "chosen" by Time to do it. And we also saw throughout season 1 why Helge wanted to change everything - and it had nothing to do with revenge and nothing to do with his scars - he wanted to stop Noah, and stop himself from becoming a killer. That's why he rammed a car into his middle aged self's car. If he stopped himself from kidnapping Jonas, Jonas wouldn't unintentionally send him to 1986, and Helge would not meet Noah and be groomed by him to become his helper. But he had already kidnapped Jonas and put it all in motion. And old Helge had dementia and didn't remember the accident itself (because the accident and emotional trauma of seeing his own death may have caused him to repress his memory and started his problems with memories. Repeated head trauma also doesn't help.)
It would be funny if young Ulrich is forced into a "Scared Straight" program and meets his old self. I think that would scare the crap out of him and also explode the timeline because of the paradox.
We have to go back Suraj, we have to go BAAAACK, actually I do go back and rewatch best reactions ever created for Lost, always nice to rewatch your reactions to Lost.

Even if you have pictures of young Mikkel, would you be like "Damn, they're identical! Only explanation? Time travel!"
7:34
They didn't mess with Timeline, it's always been like this story, they're in an infinite circle.
I hope I made my point.
Nope. Suraj is gonna ask "what happened first every episode"
Bartosz and martha's kid huh oh you have no idea lmao.
Ray Zoldyck they said she looked like Hannah lol
I LOVE when yall think you're figuring it out. This show is going to destroy you three. WAIT OMG THERE'S 3 OF YOU
Regina: "We [the Tiedemanns] have no relationship with the Nielsens at all."
Narrator: She was hella wrong.
(And also, even if you happen to realize two people look alike, would you be more likely to suspect they time travelled or just that they happen look alike?)
if Hannah saw mikkel as a kid with the nielsens, she might think her husband was cheating on her with katarina because he looked like his husband as a kid. if she remembered that face
True, without knowledge of actual time travel that would be the only conclusion anyone could come up with.
Genius, never thought about that
Don't understand what you trying to say
@@bananabread4127 she is saying that because someone would not normally consider time travel possible, if Hannah ever looked at Mikkel and thought "he looks like my husband when he was younger" then she might think that Micheal and Katrina had an affair.
Looking back (spoilers): Rana saying Silja looks like Hannah 😬
"I hope they find some happiness". What's the name of this show again?
Well in season 1 when hannah sees mikkel she says she felt deja vu it's like she remembers but not exactly her husband when he was young
"5 days to start over"
Sephiroth: "7 seconds until the end"
23:42 "Garlic Junior was in the Dead Zone" 😂
your reaction and discussion were the best one ive seen. You smart you three.
You should REALLY check out JuiceLabs...
@@stevenightfall6634 ive seen them but this one is so much fun
dustin you'd have soo much fun editing these reactions if u seen the show and know the answers to all the questions they asking and all the crazy and weird theories that are wrong at times but also once in a while 100% correct that they say as an afterthought lol
I'm starting to remember what is going to happen in the next few episodes and my hate for Hannah is about to skyrocket again...
23:33 "She looks like Hannah and Martha", well that does make sense in the end. Everything and everyone is connected.
I don't remember how my childhood best friend looked like , and I don't have any pictures of her, and it was the 90-early 2000s
absolutely same
I remember exactly what they looked like and that was in the late 80s to late 90s.
I dont even remember his surname. He moved away at some point, never saw him again and couldn't find him online.
Everyone has secrets, Suraj. It's not really up to him to snoop around in his girlfriend's business unless she wants to tell him about it.
While that holds up only problem is if something goes down because of that secret he is going to be expected to take on the consequences of it with her or for her or because of her.
A healthy relationship doesn't have secrets lol.
@@rickyricardo9710 Does she have any need to share it with him? Should she tell him literally EVERYTHING about her life?
@@stevenightfall6634 A healthy relationship is built on trust, you can't trust someone knowing they are hiding something dark from you.
@@stevenightfall6634 Also, it's not about telling everything, it's not your usual, "i order and eat stuff without telling my significant other" or some shit like that.
Imagine if your boyfriend or girlfriend or wife or husband, exchanges letters and leaves stuff for a trans prostitute on abandoned train tracks in the middle of a forest every week discretely. OF FUCKING COURSE it's a HUGE secret, like lmao, how can you love someone and yet not trust them enough to tell them that.
Nikki, even if Hannah noticed the resemblance (Mikkel/Michael), she would take him as a lookalike, not as someone who time-traveled.
ulrich literally remind of santino for "the godfather". both are a cheater and asshole, but they both love their family and you kinda feel bad for them at the end.
Yeah, both of them very hotheaded and a lot of temperament. Acting on emotion rather than ratio. And that is leading to their downfall.
Reminds me of Egon's story. You kinda feel bad for him but then again he's been clueless his whole life and maybe he deserved some of it
I'm all about Nikki for President in 2032 but life imprisonment for cheating on your wife is pretty severe.
It's not like he tried to kill a child or something, right?
Hell no...
I mean just dont do it🌚
This is such an amazing. So many things await you.
25:41 DARK effect lol
I love Rana's coat, she be looking like a business lady
!SPOILERS!
20:14 I don't remember her saying that.. I guess they forgot this line in season 3..?
23:05 Another example of a great casting haha
43:50 Noah is either related to Charlotte or Bartosz? Well... :D
Their assumptions are mindblowing.😁what do you mean in the first point?
@@andid3153 Katharina's mom said she wasn't born when Ulrich came (probably 1953).. But she met Hannah as a little girl in 1954, that doesn't quite add up.. :D
@Maja the english translation is incorrect... she actually said that he is there longer then most of the employees
@@MajaOlej Ohh yes, Katharina's mom met Hannah when she was a teen and Hannah was there(1953/4) when Ulrich was still in prison and not the psych ward. Thanks
@@AgamemnonSK Oh thanks, I actually remember her saying that one! Makes more sense.. I guess it's different subtitles and theirs aren't very accurate there.. :/
There is a psychological phenomenon, where you don't see what you don't expect. The brain plays tricks like that.
Dude I'm almost 30 and I barely remember the faces of the other kids from my childhood. Your brain purposefully forgets a lot in order to keep functioning for a long time.
My favorite reactors with my favorite show
Preach!
This was a really great episode! Glad you guy's enjoyed it. Great discussion and theories. Nikki remembering some of her previous notes though and having that discussion was amazing! Taking great notes especially when you are watching multiple show's is so important with this show. This was a prime example of why.
Don't simp over him😂
I mean, I wouldn't judge her cuz--
The Noah's in the show are something different
@@xapokalypse I agree. I simped on young Noah at some point🙈
"Why does Jonas have more nd more bruises every time we see him on the show?" Interesting observation!
There is a scene in which Hanna sees Mikkel and is for a sec shock by what she is seeing... and that answers your question as how she actually recognized Mikkel as her husband when she was young.
everything makes so much sense after watching the season 3 👁️👄👁️💅
6:39 "your paradise is nothing but lies" while he says "your paradise doesn't exist"
Remember that the suitcase time machine can only take you forward or backward in steps of 33 years.
The jumpcut to y'all with wine, lotion and tissues was hilarious
Yeah well I have seen kids that looked exactly like kids I knew when I was a kid - time travel didn't come to mind.
I know Suraj has seen The Leftovers before, but this group watching Leftovers would be so good
So you guys know Toast Hawaii? I didn't realise that it ever crossed the borders of the German speaking areas.
I'm pretty sure the everyone knows Toast Hawaii. It's not a German thing as far as I know
Edit: sorry you're right about Toast Hawaii lol my mind was on pizza Hawaii for some reason
@@xapokalypse As I said, I just didn't know that. Probably because I saw it being mentioned in a lot of videos referring to traditional German food by people from other countries who travelled Germany or lived here for some time, who seemingly never heard of it or even tried it before. Anyway, there's worse food out there than Toast Hawaii.
GUYS GUYS GUYS You will get answers , you gotta watch carefully because every single scene is very important and you don't have to be confused just remember the characters by Families it will help you..
By far now ,
•80's claudia started her journey to discover things and set up events as per the guidance of Older Claudia
•Teenage jonas went into God particle (dark matter)
•present Hannah and middle aged jonas went to 80's and met mikkel
•Noah is building cave in 1921 by the guidance of ' Adam ' (you will know more about him in upcoming episodes)
• Charlotte and peter Doppler are in verge for unfloding secrets
• Franziska , Magnus , Katherine is just confused
• old Egon Tiedemann met Old Ulrich in 80's and starts realising there is something fishy going on..and old Ulrich knew egon gonna die soon because he read the newspaper
This thumbnail is so good
When I first watched, my theory about Adam was that he's older Ulrich, but this episode kinda debunked that :P
How good is Dark?! Love that you're enjoying it - just the best written, cast, soundtracked, acted and cinematograph-ied (?) sci-fi.
I would recommend dark official website for information. You can pick what season and episode you’re on and then see the family three and get spoiler free information
Toast Hawaii is an actual dish in Germany.
And it's delicious!
21:44 I had the exact same reaction, Rana. Heartbroken. I couldn't believe he wasted away for all those years.
2:11 You don't get to make that reaction miss "We are the Darkies" 😂😂😂😂
7:58 because that interactin certainly made her mind explode
Amazing observation..
It WAS actually Agnes in the photo
10:30 - Am I crazy, or did Surj just quote "Metal Gear Solid"?
Does anyone recognise katharina's mother 20:15.
It would be funny if young Ulrich is forced into a "Scared Straight" program and meets his old self. I think that would scare the crap out of him and also explode the timeline because of the paradox.
8:38 Oh no, now the reactors are also jumping through time!
Oh 😮 i see Suraj have developed a little quarantine belly welcome to the club!
We have to go back Suraj, we have to go BAAAACK, actually I do go back and rewatch best reactions ever created for Lost, always nice to rewatch your reactions to Lost.
Oh my god.... the catch you did in this episode.... you wont know it until next season but damn Rana, good job XD
this is the kind of vague 'hinting' that can be as destructive as outright spoilers. I am not sure if they read these comments, but please be mindful
@@MrSmokinDragon i tried to be as vague as i could because i dont want to spoiled it for them (also, they record this in advance so im sure they could be almost finishing season 2 by now... ). Because they say a lot of things so even if they read these, they wont know for sure what im referring (to be truthful, i had a hard time remembering myself and i posted this 4 hours ago xD!)
@@SoraYagami02 right. It is good that you are mindful of spoiling this, and yes, it was rather vague :) - DARK is just such a unique show to watch for the first time, that having any of it spoiled would be such a shame :)
Uhhhhhhhhh. THAT Gantz reference 👌👏👏👏
my god, rana is just the cutest thing in the world
When they said I don't think Jonas is a murderer 😂
OMG, are you guys drinking wine? I guess you're getting a start on book club! Lol
I can't speak for everyone, but when I think of old friends or family, I picture them looking slightly younger than they are now. Then I look at an old photograph and realise that we've all aged as gracefully as Claudia.
guys your doing great.... keep going.
