Lol I have no life outside the kids and working :) No other hobbies anymore, I don't keep in touch with friends, etc. but I guess that's kind of normal once you have kids? I'm very happy with how life is so I'm certainly not complaining!
I had something funny here, but since my thumbnail and title sucked I had to change it and now it's gone :( Anyhow I hope these tips help you out in some way!
Hoping for somekind of multiplayer... So that I can declare ETERNAL WAR on the big black cockrells with the power of HOES - (the Holy Order of Extera Silica, tax exempt). Long may we have been on our knees, but our order rises on heels of holy glass and now takes all lands to it's bosom who may wish to come! -but those darn Clan Cockrells...Nay! You shall know how HOES handle spears!
Correct me if im wrong but it feels like once you get to around 60/70 villagers and some crafting and gathering buildings you require an obscene ammount of graineries and shelters, would be cool if there were silos where you could store the grain and so on, more especialized than the food shelters we have already. Also this game is amazing, just got done with a 3 hour session and made a lord household with the tax collector with gates, etc... It felt so cool and i can already see how one could divide the region first into a village, then branch out with different zones for resources or crafting and later on even dividing the region into fiefdoms for nobles and different villages each focused on different resources or activities
Yeah it does become a problem for me as well. It would be cool if you could upgrade the existing ones to more than 1500 storage space, that might solve a lot of issues. It's so much fun and I can't wait to see what they have instore for the military side of the game!
I set the work area on my forester hut behind my woodcutter and swapped its work area behind my firewood hut and back and forth. Worked wonders Also used a work area on the woodcutter to keep up with the aesthetic. 👍
That's surprising to see you swap the banner for the manor my Lord ! More over, it's surprising how quick you were able to produce a guide. Thank you to help us experiment the most enjoyement of it this week, before it vanish for a (hope not so long) time. Imo, the demo is as promising as the game is expected !
Yeah I've had my eye on Manor Lords for about a year now and was super pumped to see the demo come out! I plan on covering it heavily once it goes to full release. I'm glad this video was helpful!
Yeah it's high up on my list! I'm really looking forward to it :) My plan is to do the same thing - break each aspect of the game down and use databases to figure out some efficiencies!
The hard part about guides for this kind of game. It's the trial and error that is a big part of the fun. Figuring out how to do it efficiently is a journey I want to discover. Watch the channel or play the game.
For you and me, I completely agree! However I do know there are people that have very little time to play and still want to enjoy it so guides like these can be helpful with a steep learning curve. I appreciate you watching!
I found your channel yesterday and I love your bannerlord content and I wish I had way before.. you are amazing content creator and I hope you will get the success you deserve
Nice, yeah I'm trying to branch out from Bannerlord a little just in case the launch later this month flops haha fingers crossed it doesn't! I appreciate the kind words :D
On house upgrades. Level 2 provides some additional options, we can't use it, but maybe few upgrades here and there in the next demo might prove to be useful. on GPU... yeah, i just came back to pc with a coffee, and coolers of my videocard went insane with 100% GPU load. On stuttering i mentioned yesterday, so i begin to experience this issues when population reaches 130+.
Yeah some of the upgrades looked very interesting! Wow 100% GPU for you as well? I'm just glad it didn't brick the hardware. I heard that was an issue with New World when it first came out lol
@@Strat-Guides yeah, 8 gbs... i decided to stop for now with this game. I think banished did some better job on city planning in my opinion. I also experienced some strange pathing for certain facilities. Still, game looks promissing.
I think so - it seems like the larger map is all tied together so you can make a sprawling city or remove villages connected by roads, etc. Either way it's going to be epic :)
Im thinking if you want to grow Emmer, barley and flax each year its possibly best to have 4 fields instead of 3? That way you can rotate the 3 crops every year and also which field is fallow and still allows you to grow everything. I'd prefer for the UI to maybe be a little bit more expansive on that part to allow more longer term customisation of it past 3 years but its not a big deal. You'd just need to remember to update it each year but the further into end game you get with numerous farms across multiple regions it might get quite tedious
I was thinking that exact thing - I would rather have 2 or 4 years instead of 3. 2 would be nice because you just have 1 per farm and be done with it or 4 farms get the the full cycle, 1 of each. Yeah having 4 would have been good but I didn't really care about the flax as much because it takes a long time to use that up. I feel like barely is the same thing - it lasts a long time.
Technically a 3 year cycle was the historical standard. 1 year fallow, 1 year winter crops, 1 year spring crops. However, I aggree that it should offer more cycles, considering several crops later on will fall in those categories.
This game is looking really nice! Looking forward to a full release! On a bit of a different note would you have any interest in playing CK3 at all? I feel like you would make for some awesome/hilarious content on that.
Yeah I keep getting people telling me to get into CK3 lol I need to. I bought HOI4 about 3 months ago and have been spending time learning that game but I wish I picked CK3 instead :(
haha. strat guide for a short demo. didnt notice the granary upgrade. My issues with starting were, I still don't know which is the active version of the "allow idle workers to work" button. Getting people to actually work jobs. the family, versus worker obfuscation. just build alot of houses seems to be the right thing to do.. Oh, and took me awhile to figure out why my mine was not working. haha. Did you test out how, assigning work location, versus undefined works? in particular with forestry hut? do they just do around themselves when undefined? or do they spread out?
I'm practicing making videos on non-Bannerlord content and it's not as easy as I thought it would be lol It's like learning to drive on the opposite side of the road! So what I usually do is put the granary/warehouse on use idle workers, then micro everyone else with a bunch of farmers going idle during the offseason and becoming "door dash" employees for me. I know you can use the priority settings to make it more efficient, but I didn't want to go down that rabbit hole just yet haha I would spend hours testing it and for a demo that will disappear soon it didn't seem worth it :)
I have a hard time growing past 5 - 6 burgages with the berries because they only have 100 - 150 per year. Maybe I'm doing something wrong... Thanks for watching!!
@@Strat-Guides I'm a fan of your Bannerlord videos!!! Thank you for making them!! I thoroughly enjoy them! :D Yeah true, that's where farms come in :) I mean, playing without animal spawns just opens more for trading later :) I don't think I've seen how much food you have and for how much time you have, you will be a bit tight on it for a bit, but after the first crop yield, and you start making bread. Since you are going to make a lot of wheat and flour, you will be the king of bread :) and with addition of berries and later other crop yields it should be enough. At least worked for me, but I wasn't pushing to maximize gold, you still start to amass, just a bit slower. But then again, I wasn't pushing to maximize gold earnings. :)
You are amazing! Thanks for the tips. And I notice the trading post, in my case, it usually just sells 1 item one time, gaining like 4 or 6 gold each time. Can you share how you manage it? How can I make much gold like you do? Thanks!!
Hey Charles, thanks for watching! Yeah I noticed sometimes that happens to me as well. Usually it's because the trading post doesn't have enough goods in storage to sell, so putting more workers can help some. Putting the trading post right next to your warehouse that has all the goods you want to sell makes a big difference too since they don't have to walk as far!
Hey Stimm! I don't have a Twitch but I've had a few people ask about it so I might consider it. I do pretty well streaming on UA-cam so I'm tempted to just keep it here, but we will see. I appreciate the support!!
my number of months before running out of supplies is always red, i keep adding more logging camp and woodcutter for fuel and have a bread farm but its still red, any tips?
It's hard to say without seeing your actual game, but I would say it might be 2 things - the good are stuck in the production building and not making it to the houses OR you went too wide to fast and need to scale back your total villager count. I usually play a bit more conservative, saving up food and wood before I bring on new villagers so I don't get close to starvation or freezing. I hope that helps!
Do we know when Manor Lords will be released? I know it was being talked about releasing in the first quarter of next year, but I think that has changed
Thank you! This was really good practice for me because it's so different from Bannerlord and I need to get used to making videos on other games/topics.
For me it unlocked once I passed 10 families - if you hover over the top part of the screen where your town's name is it tells you which level your town is and what is needed to unlock the next part and for me it said 10 burgages.
Lol! I had a hard time saying Bannerlord when I first started my channel but now my tongue knows what to do, so Manor Lords is an easy transition thankfully :D
