My husband and I bought a real tree the first Christmas we were married. When we moved out 5 years later we were still finding the pine needles in the carpet! Never had one since, although I would love one. The smell of a real tree is delicious. We always take our decorations down on 6th January same as my parents used to do xx
Having grown up with real pine each christmas, the needles are awful to clean, getting everywhere. I can highly recommend getting one of the circular christmas tree rugs to put underneath. It gets so much easier to clean up at the end, because you just scoop the rug up, go outside, and give it a good shake. Your new house look so, so, so cozy, and like you've already lived there for years. All the little decorations are to die for, sooo cute!!
I take my Christmas decor down on New Years Day. But I have a white feather tree that I sometimes keep up thru Easter, switching out the ornaments with handmade Valentine’s Day ornaments, then St Patrick’s day, and lastly Easter themed ornaments.
Love a good fresh start in January, but I'm always sad to see the Christmas decor go. We take down in time for 6th January, but the kids cling on to their little trees in their bedrooms until the end of the month usually! We also leave the white lights up on the front of the house, as I feel everyone could do with a bit of cosy cheering up throughout January and February before Spring really starts to arrive. Recommend wrapping the tree in a dust sheet before carrying it out - it drops way less on the way through the house.
Happy New Year !!! I still have my tree up that’s the plus of having an artificial one. I smiled when i saw the past ornaments being packed away from noah and myself. Sara Jane looked so surprised to see you and Ade. I'm so use to seeing her in glasses, she looked so beautiful with her long hair and makeup. Sending lots of love to you all xx
I normally take down our Christmas tree & decorations on January 1...that's the day my parents always did it so it just feels "right" to me. Your home is looking so nice! 😊
Will take down Christmas tomorrow on the 13th, 20th day of Christmas. Old tradition here in Norway, which is fine as we dont put up our tree before dec 23 (we celebrate on Christmas eve)
Happy New Year guys. love the fruit bowl where it is. yes the house looks clean and tidy, i have just gone for minimal I live in an oldish house i have pine furniture in the bedrooms. looking forward to spring too. love to all xxx
House looks gorgeous I remember moving in our new build such a fresh start, we always take decs down on 29th Dec as my birthday is 30th Dec. The lounge looks beautiful be lovely when you get blinds it's all do expensive tho I remember we had to pay all flooring, blinds, curtains poles, curtains, lampshades it's like never ending. Worth it in the end x
I take my Christmas tree and decorations down on the 28th of December. I have a door wreath for each season. I enjoy your vlogs. Wishing you both every happiness in your new home.x
We take Xmas decorations down after new year on 2nd Jan. We did mean to have a declutter with the decorations but didn’t have time this year as went to Florida on 4th Jan so will do it next yr
We usually keep our artificial tree up until the second weekend of January so it’s coming down tomorrow. Our front door is adorned with one of the many wreaths I’ve made. January and February is a heart shaped grapevine wreath that I spray painted with some white to look more wintery. At the center/on top are two cardinals, pinecones and berry sprigs I added.
Happy New Year Lisa and Ade🎉 My vote is for the fruit bowl by the TV. We’ve recently moved into a 17th century farm cottage from a new build which had lots of fitted wardrobes and draws so we too have our ‘draw’ items in storage boxes under the bed for now!
Happy New Year Lisa & Ade. The fruit bowl by the TV looks perfect. I always take the decorations down on the 6th January. The bedding looks beautiful. I'm having a new roof done next month as we've had problems in the loft. Everything feels as if it's all over the house as we've had to empty the loft. I can't wait to get it all done so that everything is back in its place. Your videos give me a sense of calm. What a wonderful surprise your sister had, that was so sweet.❤x
I always take my decorations down on 12th night. We have a Sostrene Grene shop here in Sheffield. It’s so lovely- think they do online shopping. I love that when I’ve watched your videos a Lodge Guys one pops up automatically!

The corner in your living room where the tree was would look nice with a nice hanging plant from the ceiling x

I use old Santa hats in my Christmas journal. I cut it up and use it for trim etc
Good idea 😊

Love that! 😊
My friend who bought the gifts said I’d love the store x
@@LollipopBoxClub They sell household items and lots of craft making supplies, very reasonable prices too.
Put birds from tree on your wreath
I did think that but the rain blows in on very wet windy days so I think they’d get ruined sadly x
Why do you have to be careful of what you put in attic? I like the fruit bowl next to the tv.
New houses aren’t built to take weight like older houses.
