    Well that's a good question right now! All new pro saws husky or stihl are great to use, but in saying that we are transitioning over to STIHL , yes that's right ACE video's will have STIHL's in them coming soon.
    cheers ACE

  • @Agor696
    @Agor696 11 років тому

    In the UK, Arborists tend to go for Stihl and Forestry Husky, I don't know why, its just the convention, I've had both, but I prefer Stihl, a little bulkier and don't rev quite so high but I think they have a longer life and don't have quite so many problems. Respect on the Video. Looks like you guys know your stuff, See you at the top :)

    Once again you guys at Ace show you are pros through and through.
    You make the really hard stuff look easy. Do you have a "core" group of
    guys that are always working there, or do you have a lot of turnover with
    your workers? Thanks for the great video, work safe!

    Can someone explain to me what is going on 3 seconds into the video when the tree appears to rip the hinge completely off and move violently sideways? That seems like an extremely dangerous thing to happen, trying to avoid having that happen to me when I am right next to it finishing my backcut...

    • @rowangliori7658
      @rowangliori7658 10 років тому +3

      Looks like the crown hangs in something briefly which when the wood is as rotten as these appear to be can often cause the hinge to disintegrate... Hence getting the utter **** away from the base of the tree as soon as it starts to go over! Cutting dead wood is always a bit unpredictable. Personally I make my backcut as fast as I can and as soon as it starts to topple get the hell away from it. Not so likely out in the open though, but with the reasonably confined felling space here the chance of the top brushing another tree (not such an issue with healthy wood) is much higher no matter how accurate your cuts.

  • @treeservice123
    @treeservice123 12 років тому

      Mountain Ash is a Victorian timber [NSW too], but being in Vic, the JSA's and work place safety bullshit procedures, are what they might be dealing with on paper. These trees are babies, Mountain ash and Vic ash grow to 300 feet plus. Ada gums etc. I'm not down playing what they are doing, but just illustrating to the world what these trees are.....Hardwood as well.
