GS most definitely does not have a power creep problem. The blood knights have been out for like 4 years now and the game desperately needed a meta change
What GS should do is Mega buffs on old characters, however you would need another evolution for the buff. Awoken Rags aint meta no more, but he can definitely carry you thru early stages. Another evolution and bam, he dealing DPS beyond your imagination. I think once GS decides the next evolution for units they should start with the old units first and also make these evolutions very unique in a sense.
I would prefer to not go into the FFBE path of infinity awakenings to upgrade a unit. 5 stars on a unit is good in this game. The older units should either get reworked or stat changes. Also they should make a crystal exchange shop to spend free/paid crystals on materials such as lb stones and equip stones. Maybe exchange crystal for alch stones.
@@KiyoshiRyuu88I agree with the FFBE thing, that would be a nightmare. I think Power Creep is much more relevant in games that feature PvP as one of the main gamemodes, since GSs PvP is basically completely irrelevant it's hardly a massive problem and I think GS deals with power creep somewhat okay, they touch up old crossover units whenever they re-run crossovers and when it comes to non-crossover units it often doesn't matter if they are powercrept since you can (so far) clear any content with even some older units as long as you purpose build teams to deal with said content, the only problem with power creep is that it makes some content trivial, but as long as they keep releasing harder and harder stages it will be fine, unless they start messing with base stats. Right now it's usually just the arts and TA that are getting power crept, but if they say made all units have even +300 defense, eventually the older units just wouldn't be able to survive a lot of the harder content. TL;DR I don't think power creep in GS is that big of a deal honestly due to the way the content is structured more like a puzzle rather than a dps check (for the most part)
as for the bk's damage, you can make them deal wayyy more damage with units like summer juno and fitoria not to mention that in a comp with no humans you can use liza, which can allow you to spam equips such as true nemisis crow, true cantible, true vertag, negi, stratega, rishley's sunset bikini, true scintilla, gray's sword, true vipera, fight club goku uniform, rosetta pareo, true exceed zechs, bakuzan and goku koryu and many, many more which is the ultimate utility to get nearly any kind of buff or debuff on the boss. yall know I aint even gonna start on toguro, which can deal nearly as much damage as simon and saitama.
The game Elsword has major power creep. I spent months grinding for the most powerful armor, only for them to have an event where they just GAVE it to you, upgrades and all, because they made a newer BETTER armor. So now the old one is obsolete so the gave it out like a salvation army donation.
my man rigo gear isnt obsolete lmao unless youre super geared with a +12 and a lot of erp will tene gear will give you an increase in damage since if you go tene gear youll lose adaptation for a while and polarize also rigo gear has been out for about the same time as elri they did they same thing when rigo just came out last point is they gave the armor +8 reforge 6 if thats upgraded and all youre high as hell homie youre gonna need at least r15 and +11 for rigo gear to be good
I'mma be honest most character are still viable they all work well first year units still work but won't help you later at like chapter 10. Most units still viable and quest and things are still pretty okay for old units but soon enough they will be unviable but until then it's not bad
I think power creep wouldn’t be much of an issue if they just decided to buff older units… really I just wanna see them give garou crit or defense ignore them I’d probably stop complaining about power creep.
Man after seeing the newest manga bits of OPM and god Garou fighting Saitama on the moon of Jupiter and completely destroying it(they made so many changes from webcomic to manga) really makes me want a rerun of OPM with buffed garou also
the game is designed to be hard except for choice units and equips. they then drop the chance of getting them way past their told % to 0.001 and eveyrthign esle has 2%-0.2% chance drop. they dont care about the integrity of the game they just want it to be bullshit unless xyz is used which is the hardest % chance to get.
yes and the power creep is one of the main reasons why i quit months ago, the fact that you have such a low chance to get the unit you want which are always limited mixed with how you could have the best unit in the game but then it's useless in endgame content because it requires specific units when i quit it was around when grad became awoken and his awoken quest was really difficult at the time, i think the team that people ran was sanstone, mako, dcelia and cestina now i ran dcelia but vox who was the strongest unit at the time (idk if he still is) was useless in that fight, my issue with grand summoners is not just power creep but you need multiple characters for different things and the moment you think you have the strongest team cos u got really lucky you suddenly don't because power creep there was also one other thing that i really hated about grand summoners which was how over time the newer units would basically grant a ton of arts gen on their skill, with the blood knights it was semi balanced because they were supposed to be really strong in general and they had to actually get their magia drive to get a ton of arts gen but i recently went back just to check on the game and every new units skill is just a stronger copy of the last units skill, there's no individuality in the game anymore like yes you can go for a nuke build or a mono team but that's kinda it, you can't do anything like a skill cooldown team to spam skills, no DoT teams nothing (okay i'm editing this one last time because everything wrote above this was from pure experience without watching the video, the stuff below this is me after watching the video and there's a few things that you forgot about which is very important) My biggest problem with the power creep wasn't that they released a unit that's stronger than the previous unit, my problem was how fast they would do this and how limited the characters were, it took me 3 years to get thetis because he was barely around to summon like 2 or 3 times a year and soon after i got thetis miranda came out, thetis was still strong but i had to wait so long to get a meta unit then soon after obtaining them another one was just released which was stronger but it doesn't end here, whenever they released a stronger unit they also made content harder, i think the only unit which has stood the test of time is mako, also once you hit endgame and had done all the content getting crystals was so much harder since there wasn't anything to grind making you pay to get good units also pity was bad one last thing again, the only way to fix power creep is making it more accessible to get the newer units, epic seven is a great example of this, rn people are upset at the game because the company is creating a problem then selling the solution but even with that the drop rate and availability for stronger characters are much easier to get, because of this the company still profits while it isn't completely miserable
I personally like power creep it allows new players to join in the meta and with power creep done right aka giving like 6 months to a year allowing the unit to shine which also we have learned in 4 months you can reasonably always guarantee a unit by getting the 1.5k gems. Then since you are a veteran player you already have so many resources so once you pull that new unit you can instantly take them to max. It also just allows for new fresh content to be made with a new fresh unit to be used. You can't possibly tell me once you maxed out vox back in gap you'd want to use him for the next 5-10 years. I am about 10 minutes in the video now and agree all the old units are still good and usable so it's not like these units are not usable once you've invested in them. I think GS does power creep in one of the better gacha games.
Castoria is not a power creep. She's too OP as a support. 🤣 Power creeps here in GS is super bad. They make many units useless and I'm sick to see them in lobbies. PS most of GS players are like that. Like OH NO 5* SUPPORT SLOT YOU'RE TRASH, YOU'RE NOT VOX YOU'RE TRASH. Every units for them are trash as long as that unit is not on the tier list. And yeah META SHIFT. Why not Machine, Giants or Spirits.
It is a weird question but can you make a tier list of the tier 5 units? as a new player i often wonder which units are worth to play and to upgrade... i know it would be much work but i would really like something like that
Unison league is just power creep city. Almost every day we got new spawns to use our gems on with even better and stronger gear. Draining us of our gems and our money. There was also a change to the mq which gives out all the *good* equipment that was considered staple gear basically for free. So yeah, power creep city.
Good riddance. The blood knights reigned supreme for way too long not just for gacha standards but for online gaming standards in general. Pretty much 4 years. That's way too long. Finally nice to see new units up top. Don't get me wrong, I like the kob but like I want to see the meta shift.
I think more bad unit should be up / receive more ability, than just added more unit or boosted one the banner come back to life (like Shield Hero) cuz I have like 180 unit. With around ~70-100 awoken unit And with that I have like 3-6 good unit 10-20 of unit who can be used And the other are just here to be limit break and get rainbow gem when limit break max, I mean, it's like people capturing pokemon, they just stay in your box forever until you delete your save lol
Blood Knights I'm only missing Juno. But man, when I didn't have a good healer and Vox be saving me in a pinch or Brewick giving arts at the most crucial time. Yeah, they may not be as good of a unit now consider all the power creeping, but you gotta be honest. It's these guys that save the noobs in the game a number of times when they didn't have good units
What can they do to make a unit really good without meta breaking? Units that are similar to the top-tier meta but for different types. Instead of something that is just there to break the whole meta, releasing a unit that could bring older units back to life would be a good way for the game to head into, and, that would also open up a lot of doors for a variety of releasing units. With this, they could also maintain the relevance of units for more time, while also bringing units that are just as powerful without being a direct counter to what it's good already. But, the reality is, that Power Creep is what maintains Gacha Games alive, and you could even break a lot of live service games as a whole with the same system. Unfortunately, that won't change, because the whole game is developed around this system. So, eventually what's good now, will get worse as time goes by, it's unavoidable.
I think gs is one of the game that's good on managing the flow of the game, sure as long as the money keeps coming in ofc, can't help to think that they made it much tighter years after years, like erasing 5k alc banner and free platinum tickets but those kind of things is actually what made the game keep profitting and stays alive.
Gs should really rework the older charactera like they are so outdated they are the literal meaning of disappointment whenever you get them and well u will always get them
I mean what do you expect from units that were made years ago, power creep isn't really a problem, the bk are still used a lot in jp, for example juno is still a nice magic battery along with vox being a nice crit buffer and water dps
The answer to powercreep is nerfing, example, league of legends on release had the most broken mechanics in the history of the game, and the meta was just unkillable monsters and then over a year or two everything was weakened to the point that the monsters on the jungle were hard to kill, and that gave the game so much life, so TLDR stop crying about nerfs nerfs are healthy
Nerf kills gacha games, especially single player oriented games, people spend hundreds and thousands for specific units and nerfing that would cause chaos. So no, nerf is not always healthy it's the dev's job to balance the game, this is why instead of nerfing the units they released the harder contents along with the "powercreep" units for it.
@@alekhaalrem1408 that's exactly the same problem as powercreep "Imagine spending hundreds of dollars on a unit only for it to be replaced for a better and stronger one who fills the same niche" the difference is when you open the gates to nerfs AND buffs you can keep the game more balanced and maybe (if the devs manage to do a good job) no unit is rendered unsusable due to powercreep of content
shaman king fell off so hard that I didnt even know it existed even though as someone who resumed playing recently again im fairly familar with all the other units and collabs
Uhm kinda and also no? KoB was literally the only thing you needed for literal years so yeah they crept everything. But things got so boring I quit a long time ago.
Grand summoners needs to rotten for good. It's basically a showing off from whales and that's it. Rate has dropped to 0% over the latest 2 years. It can't be 500 crystals and not a single 5 stars and I'm not the only one (veteran btw). Are you people still going to support this game? I won't for sure. Power creep won't be the problem if the core of the game (global) is the main issue.
powercreep isnt a problem. The problem is balancing. you cant have a new unit that so OP that it shits on previous OP units. for GS just look at how many useless unit back then and their revamp was mostly garbo as well.
The blood knights went from #1 top tier can't be beat to like... #2 maybe #3. They are still completely usable and will still be able to handle basically everything, they'll just do it slower than the new human meta

10-20 of unit who can be used
And the other are just here to be limit break and get rainbow gem when limit break max, I mean, it's like people capturing pokemon, they just stay in your box forever until you delete your save lol
Can’t wait, I still need two units from KoB.
Power creep = DBL
I have a team of vox, swick, mako, and fen.
What's the hardest boss you think I'll be able to beat
naofumi with proper crests and equipment can be better than miranda at physical content than she is at magic content
vox still hasn't been powercrept by a better crit buffer
Showing dragon ball legends when introducing power creep makes me sad and happy at the same time
What are the top op units in Japan
Why did I even 120 my VoX
At least the game doesn't heavily focus on PvP like DBL so I can have fun
Funny the shinryu from dffoo was put in, I just maxed out Kam for that content
I've got 800 gems saved up 700 left to go
What can they do to make a unit really good without meta breaking?
I love how you choose the androids for an example....
My boi Orvell got powercrept so hard with the arrival of units like Joker Selia, Erza and Batiste lmao
they made another one tho thats dummy broken lol
The thing is that the blood knights came around 2-3 years ago, they can't stay #1 for years either so meta was going to shift.
True tho they are still pretty good(imo)
I just wanna get Santa rimuru because of his art and ta showing stars and stuff
power creep is alright if there's continuous fix, buff and nerf in the system
I'm looking forward to see Emperor but right now. I still need to get my Liza. My battery
Smh when are we going to meta breaking machine units
Yeah if you mean the lack there of in GS.
Gs should really rework the older charactera like they are so outdated they are the literal meaning of disappointment whenever you get them and well u will always get them
Rip Freed
I mean what do you expect from units that were made years ago, power creep isn't really a problem, the bk are still used a lot in jp, for example juno is still a nice magic battery along with vox being a nice crit buffer and water dps
Don't forget healer also
@@palamicia1750 exactly, with the new raid he's being used in most comps on jp
*and then there's me trying to play gs again :D*
Emperor should’ve been a god unit
Priscilla took vox
shaman king fell off so hard that I didnt even know it existed even though as someone who resumed playing recently again im fairly familar with all the other units and collabs
Juno is still sss tier in my heart 😂
Is emperor that good? Maybe i will start to save up my gems, new player here :-]
Yes he is the best unit in the game right now and pretty much can do all as in heal art gen buff and do dam along with his unique thing he has
this games powercreep is minimal and people just don't understand how to play the game properly
It's natural old replace by new
🔥🔥🔥
Human meta? more like humanity fuck yeah
Oh man 😂 Seven deadly sin was a pure competitive cashgrab. I'm done, never look back again.
Uhm kinda and also no? KoB was literally the only thing you needed for literal years so yeah they crept everything. But things got so boring I quit a long time ago.
its almost like I said that
Fitoria is good
Grand summoners needs to rotten for good.
Emi hahaha
yes
powercreep isnt a problem. The problem is balancing. you cant have a new unit that so OP that it shits on previous OP units. for GS just look at how many useless unit back then and their revamp was mostly garbo as well.
