This video is incredibly helpful thanks!! I have Dignics 05 on backhand and use 09C on forehand, this rubber is so amazing, Its really insane the amount of grip that you get and its not even that tacky compared to Hurricane 3 NEO which I had on before. This rubber is really amazing and it lasts a very long time with good care unlike hurricane which loses a lot immediately.
I'm thinking about using it on both sides now. It's really expensive, yes, but compared to Tenergy it also lasts way longer. I have actively used the 09C for six months now and usually my Tenergys were totally dead after 3-4 months. They were even tearing apart in the middle of the sweetspot on both sides which made them unusable. I would say my 09C still has around 85% of it's starting performance and the top sheet doesn't show any form of tearing at all. If you're using Tenergy now, I'm pretty sure the Dignics 09C will cost you less money in the long run. You really need to have good footwork to use that rubber though and as Dan said, you can't just throw the ball back from far behind the table with no effort. You really need to be a lot more active on every shot than with Tenergy. I can actually hit the ball harder than with Tenergy, because it basically has no speed limit even though it may be a bit less dynamic.

sounds like 09c will need replacing more since the topsheet tackiness is a big part of its success. Being the most expensive, that's a game changer. T05 is very usable even when the surface is worn... Mechanical is always going to last longer. Considering the price difference C is for those who are reallllllllllllly into the sport at no cost consideration.
Hi Dan Great review, doing such an amazing job for all us unenlightened! Where would us TT nuts be without you? the Dignics 09c rubbers sounds my kinda rubber. Wondering what might be the best blade to go with it. Love to hear Thanks Terry
Fan Zhendong uses this rubber for his backhand... Need I say more? If you are aggresive attacking player, try it out. my backhand has improved in just the two weeks Ive been using it, was stuck with tenergy 64 on my backhand before since I got a used racket and I could only block/punch/count since everything would go long if I tried to do a proper kill loop with my backhand. Dignics lets you really rip it and put energy into the ball, counters are amazing and flicks and loops against weird serves are monsterous if performed correctly. and the loop! I can spin the ball instead of just driving through it! maybe my 64 was just old and lost all its grip, I can't compare to tenergy 05 or dignics 05 (I really want to try them but 09C feels perfect already) but I play hurricane 3 on my forehand and it feels like Im able to play my backhand the same as my forehand now. kill loops and really hitting through the ball, with enough pace for me to not feel held back by the rubber (Ive tried my 39 degree hurricane fore my backhand and it is not it). Anyways, Id say it is 100% worth the money for me, but if you aren't an attacker and dont want to learn how to actually hit the ball hard, then dont bother with it. Allround players just go for you favorite tensor rubber (tenergy 05, nittaku fastarc g1, yasaka rakza 7, donic bluefire f3 are all rubbers ive tried and enjoyed, but just dont fit my game right now)
Great reviews. I am wondering how to clean the rubber Dignics 09C to protect the stickiness. As its top sheet is sticky, is it different from cleaning non-sticky rubbers?
wipe with hand in between plays, oil actually keep the stickiness. Then clean it later with sponge or whatever. I change rubber often enough that no special care needed, the early tackiness actually annoying and too much.
I bought it and tried it for 3 weeks with my coach. I was getting the feeling that I had to put too much effort to produce as fast shots as i did with my previous tenergy 05, propably i could lift back spins a little easier but not so much. I finally switched back to tenergy 05 but maybe I ll give 09c another try sometime since I still have it and I paid those 80 euros for it :(
this review made me more excited. i will have the rubbers in 3 days. both backhand and forehand. it's a little slow but i have a fast blade(timo boll zlc) so it compliments. i got the 1.9mm though for even better control.
Received 09c today... It doesn't look tacky at all, but when you bounce the ball on it you understand it is tacky... But the speed is there. Very interesting
Hey yeah I agree, will definately help teach people the mechanics well. Sometimes going to a rubber like T05 to quickly means you over compensate by using the arm too much and not the body.
Hi Dan, great review as always. i am really looking forward to playing with this rubber. i have just one major concern : how do i keep the surface tacky?
Hey David thank you :) The rubber comes with a protective sheet. You can reuse this. Otherwise just use the paper packaging it comes in. Will be fine :)
The third point that you made is basically what you're supposed to do with Chinese rubbers, you're are supposed to try and hit the ball as hard as you can while spinning the ball with your body, to get the most out of the rubber, otherwise it will seem slow. Proper technique will help you get the most out of rubbers like H3 Neo
How are loops against under spin with 09C? Everything about this rubber sounds great for me because I do like tacky topsheets but I’m just a little bit too used to European sponge.
Hi Dan! I just saw Timo Boll's video of him gluing the Dignics 09c on his blade and what surprised me was that it seems that his version of Dignics 09C came with a paper cover instead of the plastic film which you peeled off at the start of your video. This makes me wonder if he is really getting a different version of the 09C to what is commercially available. This is again hindering me from getting the new rubber as it is possible that what we get is different to what pros get. You know it is too expensive already and at least I want to get the "real" one. Thanks!
Yeah idk about it being slow. I use it on my backhand and my shots are rockets. It's been over 8 months now and I'll order a new on soon. I'm pretty pleased with it. I haven't played with any other rubber that complements my game so well.
I use and love Hurricane 2 (but I've never tried Hurricane 3). I also like the price of Hurricane versus DIGNICS. Prior to "stay at home" orders I was playing 4-5 times a week (1-2 hours at a time). Thanks for advice and cost info. Enjoyed the video.
Hey Dan! Is it possible to compare the 09c to MXP or MXP50? Mainly for the sake of price, I was wondering if it is worth it to pay literally double the price!
I think of you take the Nitakku Hurricane you will have very similar rubber for less than half the price. Interesting that Butterfly adapts to the Chinese Rubbers.
are you going to start using Dignics 09c? and if you are, will you have it on fore hand or backhand or both? And what are you using on the side without Dignics 09c?
Viscaria is definitely not an Allround blade, it’s a very fast offensive blade. But this is also not a rubber suited for Allround play, it’s for very aggressive close to table game. I can recommend for you to look at TSP SWAT, it’s an all wood 7-ply blade that has quite a lot of speed but still a lot of control! And it costs only about 40 Euros. It’s a blade with incredible quality and great for many playing styles. In Japan it has been best selling blade every month for three years already but in Europe they don’t try to push on the market at all. And then the Rozena rubbers Dan mentions in the video would be a good fit for it.
@@olivermatthews799 In that case you could try the TSP SWAT with Rozena Rubbers in 1.9mm sponge. But you could also consider some more classic rubbers like Butterfly Sriver EL or Yasaka Mark V (in 2mm rubber). And remember to be patient with new material, your muscles need to get used to it for a while before you can pass a real judgement.
Hey Nevan yh I've started to use a viscaria lately as I feel it's a bit slower than the Boll ALC so it gives me a bit more control. However I agree the Boll AlC could combine very well with the 09C 🏓
Maybe Palio cj8000 Biotech rubbers could be a much more affordable solution in maybe a similar vain for someone who doesn't play that often? I mean it's not the same thing, but the CJ8000's are something like sriver, but with a tacky surface. The Biotech ones adds a bit of tension/speed glue effect to them. I used the non Biotechs and lasted me quite a long time. Choose 36-38 degrees though, because that's still quite hard compared to European/japanese standards. Probably medium-hard.
I've been using Nittaku Turbo Orange on the FH, which is an H3 topsheet on Japanese/Euro sponge. D09c sounds similar to that. Won't be able to compare myself until the club opens again.
how long does the tacky 09c last? in terms of durability... I imagine the sticky surface catches dust and dirt so much more.. How long, til you'd want to replace the rubber, compared to the t05?
Hi Dan, thanks for the review. Just want to ask if the protector that came with the dignics 09c, us it something the can be reused like you just cut it rubber size? Coz most cheap chinesse rubber comes with a protector but something that you throw away because it is not a “real” protector but just a plastic cover.
Hey yeah good question. You can reuse it not to sure how long it lasts for though... notice in the video I threw mine on the floor 😅 it got ruined doing this. And then I thought... oops I could have reused that. To be honest though I've never really used a rubber protector sheet... just the paper that comes in the packaging :)
TableTennisDaily , I see. But Dignics 09C is different from the other Dignics this time as it has a sticky surface so it might really require a protector. But anyway, did you stick now to innerforce ALC blade? I remember in your debut game, you used the innerforce alc instead of your tb alc.
I wonder about durability and how you maintain the tackiness on it. I guess you have to clean the tables of dust every time you play and blow on every ball off the floor at the same time as using plastic protective sheets to store it.
Hey Dan, how does this rubber respond on loops and flicks? You mentioned the tackiness and hold a couple of times, so I imagine it's quite positive on looping from backspin?
Hey Rene yeah against backspin it picks up the ball great. For hard 3rd ball attacks against backspin it works well. Going forward and acceralating fast is great with the 09c.
@@gab5012 Spin art is 48º in european scale. Dignics 09C is 44º in chinese scale (54º). Almost all butterfly rubbers have the chinese scale hardness (except the spin art).
Just an excellent review; very helpful. One extension of your comments I would appreciate is a comparison with Tenergy 05 Hard, which is a cousin as a comparable rubber. Thank you very much.
@@TableTennisDaily Again, very good! I'm intrigued because this was posted in the Butterfly 09c interview with the great Cheng I-Ching; her current setup: Forehand rubber: Dignics 09C Backhand rubber: Tenergy 05 Hard
See EmratThich explanations about rubber's. It's a reality that power come from the ground. The good technic the good stroke the wright balls your produce. In European style we use the elasticity of rubber but we don't use our body to improve the power. Hurricane seem's to be used with booster, if 09C don't need it's a good job from butterfly. Now we have to be muscled and prepared to change our phylosophy.
Emory Maginnis damage prevention, aesthetics for blade side for players, some edge tape can be distracting when stroking and watching the ball versus the wood to rubber non distracting surface. Also, allows for slightly heavier bottom weight for swing
Yh I've seen a lot of pros do this. I just copied them really. Also I dont like the look of a bat with full edge tape on.. I think it looks better this way 😂😀
There's supposed to be a Tenergy 09C too, according to the LARC. It's been there for many months, way before Dignics 09C appeared (on the LARC and in real life). Wonder how soon Tenergy 19 will be out, if at all (it just appeared on the LARC). Or 05N (it appeared at the same time Tenergy 09C did..). My particular theory is that the tackiness you see on Chinese rubbers is some sort of adhesive applied to the rubber surface as the last stage of manufacturing - it is applied using what we think is the "protector sheet" which is sort of like an adhesive tape (with the adhesive on the bottom), and it's designed to leave the adhesive behind when it is removed. There might or might not be heat involved in this. So it's VERY interesting indeed to see that Dignics 09C has a "protector sheet" as well.
You can also try Yinhe Big Dipper, its tacky, but IMHO has better feeling than H3 Neo, I think Big Dipper is very very good hybrid rubber. Oh, I forgot to mention, its about 15 USD...
Are you teasing us with that blue sponge there? Is that a future detailed Hurricane NEO review? :) I would absolutely love for a full review on H3 NEO and Skyline 3 (NO BOOSTING plz)
For me, I don't like rubbers that rely on tackiness surfaces for their grip. Perhaps I don't know how to look after them, but I have found them hard to maintain.
About the hardness, Tenergy 05 - 36, but if you converted it is 49. Dignics 05 - 40-> 53 DIgnics 09c - 44-> 56. Does anyone tried to boost 09c with baby oil?
I just ordered a dignics o9c however in the meantime I’ve been using the tibhar k1 hybrid . It sounds to me like these are both somewhat hybrid rubbers. While eagerly wait for my dignics o9c can anyone tell me how it compareS with hybrid k1?
Hey there TTD, good job with your chanel so far. Watching you for sometime. Quick question as an amateur: Is the package price for one rubber or a set of two? I am about to start changing rubbers on my own and have been wondering for a long time... Thanks in advance!
The hardest spronge that butterfly ever had was the rubber called SpinArt with 48 degrees back in 2017 and had the same amount of spin as Tenergy 05 , this message is for TTD and this information came out Butterfly Table Tennis Company catalog .
A complete racket from Butterfly for $25?? That must be horrible to play with, maybe check out their website and choose you're rubbers and wood. You will feel the difference immediatly, believe me:)
Thanks for the review. I'm gonna get a Butterfly rubber for my backhand this summer, but this is just too expensive for me right now since I want to get a new blade too. T05 is very usable even when the surface is worn... Mechanical is always going to last longer. Considering the price difference C is for those who are reallllllllllllly into the sport at no cost consideration.
Hi Dan
Great review, doing such an amazing job for all us unenlightened!
Where would us TT nuts be without you?
the Dignics 09c rubbers sounds my kinda rubber.
Wondering what might be the best blade to go with it.
Love to hear
Thanks Terry
I would love to see the new omar assar Butterfly blade..
It sounds very nice and it is with 99 euro not too expensive 👌
Hey yeah we will review this blade soon 👊😀
@@TableTennisDaily thank you...
You have a great chanel👍
How to take care about this rubber (tackiness?)???????
Allround players just go for you favorite tensor rubber (tenergy 05, nittaku fastarc g1, yasaka rakza 7, donic bluefire f3 are all rubbers ive tried and enjoyed, but just dont fit my game right now)
kinda thought that hurricacane 3 neo (provincial) on the table was a spoiler of an future review of the rubber with the dictator....
Hi... Would you like to know how to prolong the Chinese rubber characteristics (tacky) of Dignics 09c?
Great reviews. I am wondering how to clean the rubber Dignics 09C to protect the stickiness. As its top sheet is sticky, is it different from cleaning non-sticky rubbers?
Don’t use any rubber cleaner. Just water. But the stickiness will disappear anyways by playing.
wipe with hand in between plays, oil actually keep the stickiness.
I finally switched back to tenergy 05 but maybe I ll give 09c another try sometime since I still have it and I paid those 80 euros for it :(
How long till the rubber loses its grip and how can we preserve it for longer?
this review made me more excited. i will have the rubbers in 3 days. both backhand and forehand. it's a little slow but i have a fast blade(timo boll zlc) so it compliments. i got the 1.9mm though for even better control.
Thanks for a very good vid! Feel like I need 5 more things though now😅 I'm deciding between using Tenergy 05 or Dignics 09c and it's SO difficult!🙃
Kenny Borefjäll yeah I feel the same . But now I decided to play Tenergy on backhand and dignics on forehand 😂
Forcer 99 same here
Received 09c today... It doesn't look tacky at all, but when you bounce the ball on it you understand it is tacky... But the speed is there. Very interesting
Honestly, I'll never even come close to buying this rubber, but I still enjoyed the video.
Thanks for watching Adomaitis 💪
What's the difference between the 1.9 & the 2.1 sponge ? Should you use a -OFF blade ?
Like Chinese rubbers, you must hit very hard to get maximum speed.
Maybe that rubber could help and teach some players, who doesn't hit very hard.
Hey David thank you :)
The rubber comes with a protective sheet. You can reuse this. Otherwise just use the paper packaging it comes in. Will be fine :)
Neo Hurricane is £21 a sheet, fantastic spin and power why bother with Dignics 09C?
The third point that you made is basically what you're supposed to do with Chinese rubbers, you're are supposed to try and hit the ball as hard as you can while spinning the ball with your body, to get the most out of the rubber, otherwise it will seem slow. Proper technique will help you get the most out of rubbers like H3 Neo
Hey yes I agree you do need to have strong technique to make the most out of the rubber.
How are loops against under spin with 09C? Everything about this rubber sounds great for me because I do like tacky topsheets but I’m just a little bit too used to European sponge.
Always love watching TTD. You are sooooooo good at table tennis and a very good entertainer.
Thanks for supporting our channel Archie 💪🙏 Stay safe
Thanks!
Of course all sponsered pros get a different rubber than the commercial version. The same is with CNT and DHS
Yeah idk about it being slow. I use it on my backhand and my shots are rockets. It's been over 8 months now and I'll order a new on soon. I'm pretty pleased with it. I haven't played with any other rubber that complements my game so well.
what blade do you use it with?
I will love this because I use Chinese rubbers and a bit more pace sounds great to me
Yeah 💪 If you use it let us know how you get on :)
Hurricane 2 is an incredible rubber for counterlooping, lifting undespin is very difficult though.
Thanks David. Stay safe hope we are all back to the table soon :)
D09c is very similar to butterfly spinart. Maybe a tad faster but spin art is spinnier.
Can u do a review about the new CNF blade ? Would love to hear ur review on that blade
Hey Dan! Is it possible to compare the 09c to MXP or MXP50? Mainly for the sake of price, I was wondering if it is worth it to pay literally double the price!
MXP is fantastic and very fast but durability is terrible, mine hardly lasted 4 months.
Nice video, can you please review the Tibhar Shang Kun Blades next.
I think of you take the Nitakku Hurricane you will have very similar rubber for less than half the price. Interesting that Butterfly adapts to the Chinese Rubbers.
LOL It's a reverse engineered H3 national.
Akbar Ormes You seem familiar..
are you going to start using Dignics 09c? and if you are, will you have it on fore hand or backhand or both? And what are you using on the side without Dignics 09c?
I'd use it on forehand only
I think forehand only for now. Will see how I go with it :)
I would buy this but i don’t know what blade to get as an all around blade???
For example Viscaria is good allround blade by Butterfly.
Roman thanks for the info. Been playing for 2 years now and need a change.
Will the boll alc and 09c would be great ? U used the viscaria
How does Dignics 09c compare to the Nittaku? I am currently playing the same Nittaku and am thinking of switching to dignics
how long does the tacky 09c last? in terms of durability...
I have question Dan. What can you tell me about spin and speed hurricane 8
How does it differ from their first attempt with spin art?
Isn't spin art harder? Butterfly said it was 48 sponge hardness while dignics 90c is 44...
@@gab5012 Spin art is 48º in european scale. Dignics 09C is 44º in chinese scale (54º). Almost all butterfly rubbers have the chinese scale hardness (except the spin art).
@@jidisa I said this based off what was said in a buttefly table tennis magazine where all of them is scaled the same way, and still it says 48
Is there any ways to compare other hardnes scales?
Just an excellent review; very helpful. One extension of your comments I would appreciate is a comparison with Tenergy 05 Hard, which is a cousin as a comparable rubber. Thank you very much.
Hey thanks for your comment. 09C feels harder than T05 and more grippy. The 05 Hard feels are lot closer to T05. 09C has a totally different feel
@@TableTennisDaily Again, very good! I'm intrigued because this was posted in the Butterfly 09c interview with the great Cheng I-Ching; her current setup:
Forehand rubber: Dignics 09C
Backhand rubber: Tenergy 05 Hard
See EmratThich explanations about rubber's. It's a reality that power come from the ground. The good technic the good stroke the wright balls your produce. In European style we use the elasticity of rubber but we don't use our body to improve the power. Hurricane seem's to be used with booster, if 09C don't need it's a good job from butterfly. Now we have to be muscled and prepared to change our phylosophy.
After trying out all this rubbers and blades, what is your equipment today, what do you play with?
Why do you only have the edge tape on the bottom half of the racket? I saw that Timo does this too.
I think it looks better this way 😂😀
Thank you Dan! I was waiting that video!
💪 thanks!
How would you say it compares to boosted hurricane 3 neo?
Yea same that what im thinking , i dont like boosting all the time if this thing can do 80/90% of a boosted national h3 ill probably switch over
Yeah his comparisment was kinda off. Especially becaus he also had a blade with a hurricane right next to it...
Hey Dan,
I'd love to see a review of Gewo Nexxus EL PRO. Stay safe and keep going. Cheers!
Thanks Rangel stay safe to :) Yeah we will be reviewing this in the near future 💪🏓
How would this rubber compare to Hurricane 8 for forehand? Shouldn't the transition be really easy in that case?
Dan sir I want to ask you that what is the cost of the dignics 09c and with which blades can we be recommended to combine???🤔🤔🤔
You can also try Yinhe Big Dipper, its tacky, but IMHO has better feeling than H3 Neo, I think Big Dipper is very very good hybrid rubber. Oh, I forgot to mention, its about 15 USD...
I'll give these a try thanks Antonin
Are you teasing us with that blue sponge there? Is that a future detailed Hurricane NEO review? :) I would absolutely love for a full review on H3 NEO and Skyline 3 (NO BOOSTING plz)
Hehe Nick haha yh a review of Hurricane coming soon. And a comparison to 09c :)
For me, I don't like rubbers that rely on tackiness surfaces for their grip. Perhaps I don't know how to look after them, but I have found them hard to maintain.
what about "tuning" the 09c to make it more like a medium rubber ? Would this even work or is it just a way to burn a huge amount of money ?
About the hardness,
Tenergy 05 - 36, but if you converted it is 49.
Dignics 05 - 40-> 53
DIgnics 09c - 44-> 56.
Question is: how durable is the top sheet? And how does it react when the tackiness :) passes away.
Same question I have. I guess we'll see as time passes how this holds up. But from Butterfly's history I'm guessing it will have good longevity.
Hey yeah we will know better in a few months time :)
Hey there TTD, good job with your chanel so far. Watching you for sometime.
Quick question as an amateur: Is the package price for one rubber or a set of two?
I am about to start changing rubbers on my own and have been wondering for a long time...
Thanks in advance!
Just one, most players like to have different robbers and customise so mostly all brands give you just one sheet of rubber
The hardest spronge that butterfly ever had was the rubber called SpinArt with 48 degrees back in 2017 and had the same amount of spin as Tenergy 05 , this message is for TTD and this information came out Butterfly Table Tennis Company catalog .
Dan I want to ask you that if you're opponent has pimple rubber so is the dignics 09c rubber the best choice???🤔🤔🤔
I bought the Butterfly rackets with $25
Idk if they are the original ones but all my friends liked it
A complete racket from Butterfly for $25??
That must be horrible to play with, maybe check out their website and choose you're rubbers and wood. You will feel the difference immediatly, believe me:)
@@janneshildebrandt1 thanks mate :)
But damn can't play because of this outbreak
Hi Dan, Great Channel! Can you compare the Nittaku Hurricane Pro III Turbo Blue to Butterfly Dignics 09C?
I think Kreanga will love this rubber
Boll and Ovtcharov are both using it. They are one of my fav European players.
They're legends!
Dan,try out the Butterfly 303 shakehand racket ,its Yuki rubber is even tackier. But I still love 09 C
Im playin with H3N 40 degree cant wait to compare them on my ma long 5X.Great rewiew ! Next on the line harimoto zlc vs super zlc !
Dignics05 Really nice tire, very nice video
Thanks for watching Ping Brothers
Thanks for the review. I'm gonna get a Butterfly rubber for my backhand this summer, but this is just too expensive for me right now since I want to get a new blade too. On that note, could you make a tutorial for how to glue rubbers? My local shop clerk does it for basically free, but I just want to learn how it's done.
backspacer92 there’s many great videos out there for learning rubber glueing :)
Hi dan, iam struggle to get use with 09c since my previous FH rubber is omega 7 hyper which is hard and fast.
hi, what do you think about dignics 09c with butterfly Inneforce ALC to FH? Now, i have dignics 05 fh/bh.
