I cannot resist to ask. what style of music is this particular tune? what kind of rhythm? Sounds like a slowed down version of Soca from probably the trinidad islands but I might be wrong. Love the interludes, the improvisations. Just wonderful musicians. all of you.
Hey there, and Thanks for your comment !This tune is based on a common Arabic groove called "Malfoof" which is very similar to many others African based rhythms around the world. It contains for sure many elements from the Middle Eastern musical traditions as well as some specifically Israeli music, but also has so many other musical components that it is hard to actually define it in the existing forms of music or sub jazz genres...
