People are talking about missing his confidence etc. I get that, I really do but I love this shy Onew too. No matter what sides he shows to us, let's love him the same way. If we just have these reasons for loving him then it looks as if when our love for him will be gone when these reasons are gone. Let's keep loving him regardless, people change all the time. Both you and I are changing all the time, it's just that the personas and lives of idols are broadcasted everywhere so we see it so clearly but we're all the same!
Onew often says *_"I'm not good at talking"_* and *_"When I talk the atmosphere and mood just goes down for everybody"._* Hearing these words hurt so much because they're not true! I love him when he's slightly awkward it's so cute and he's just so gentle and sweet. Imagine how he would feel if he saw constant comments initiating a negative energy when it came to his quieter persona and how everyone just misses one side of him. Let's be please be more considerate and loving, just like our dear leader, Jinki!
He is coming back little by little. I feel like I am watching early debut Onew nowadays. His onew condition is starting to come back. I know, sooner or later, his variety skill will also come back. For now, I will enjoy the Onew now.
I keep wondering why Onew is so different now, he looks more serious now and he is not that savage while Taemin is the oposite and back then he wasn't that much, also the rest of the members are really savage now hahaha i miss Onew savage xD but anyway, i just hope he is being just he, and happy C':
He was really affected by jong's death, im sure he still feels guilty & his depression has made him very insecure. 😟
Not to mention before Jonghyun's death, he suffered a major scandal that involved the police so he had to be on hiatus. I'm sure he felt really ashamed as it affected SHINee and the people around him. He was still on hiatus when Jonghyun passed.

@@siaa9501 In 2017, he suffered a major scandal that involved the police (you can go look at his wiki). He went on hiatus because of it and during that hiatus, Jonghyun passed away. All the members went to therapy and I think with the scandal on top of that, Onew has become more reserved and cautious to be sure he won't affect SHINee's image and his members.
I relate to Onew so much. He's such a precious boy.

I was just thinking that as I was watching this! Onew has definitely changed a lot, he doesn't joke around as much and just smiles quietly, letting the other members speak. I guess since he went through so much, he shows a more mature side of him these days.

I PERSONALLY think it has nothing to do with his confidence. He’s just matured. Many people I know, including myself, used to be like this in our younger days. But now MOST(not all) of us are behaving like how he is now. And our confidence has increased, not decreased.
So my point is that he has matured, and is not THAT childish anymore(still is a bit, but not too much) and has a higher confidence (I mean he’s been in this industry for 10+years now, it’s weird to say he’ll lose his confidence)

I think it was also mentioned on broadcast/online content that he isn’t used to having cameras around. Prolly due to hiatus for 2 years and need time to adapt? Regardless, all I want is for him to be well.

It hurts me to watch this.. Because back in the days he was really bright not afraid to say his dad jokes and tease the members.. Even when his voice cracked in live radio singing he still carried on like nothing happened.. Yet since jonghyunie oppa's death he's lost all his confidence.. He doesn't trust his voice anymore neither his wits.. And He seems to yield a lot more to the members and only talk when he has to..
Though he's getting to sing now yet it seems to me like he's just trying to cover for jonghyunie's absence .. Even though he's smiling and doing more variety shows yet He still seems deeply affected..
he still is confident . stop ruining it for shawols who would love to see his cheerful and bright moments PLUS relating it to jjong’s death . AND also jinki wasnt as confident as he is today so stop making things up , please .

@@werewolftaemin i'm a shawol myself .. and there's nthg wrong with admitting that the members were heavily affected after what happened ..i'm not just making dramas..it's from what i've noticed ..knowing Jin ki from more than a decade he used to be more open more carefree and his smile was really happy and sincere and he wasn't reluctant to step up and show his charms .. it's true that he didn't have the greed he should have to showcase his voice more to the world as he should started his solo career earlier and did more musicals but it got even worse after 2017 not only coz of jonghyunie's death but becoz of the defamation he has faced in that incident..
It wasn't until sea of hope that he relaly started to heal and get back to his old self ..
I don't know why shawols think that stating some facts mean we're only making jonghyunie all abt his last moments ?
It's just a heartfelt comment from a person who has been with the boys for half of my life..
